I hate that I have to give this place a bad review. As a DeLand native, Ive spent may a night in this very restaurant and usually the service is decent and the food is good. My boyfriend and I went in one morning with our one year old. We ordered our breakfast and waited patiently for it. Our son was getting a little impatient so we asked the server to bring us some crackers. She did, and even brought us two more refills of tea. After an hour of waiting, and watching other customers who came in after us get served, my boyfriend went to ask where our food was and why we had been waiting so long. She said she would go check and she came back to us and said, "They dont seem to have your order." Well, if the kitchen doesnt have the order, it means our server never put it in. To say the very least, we felt very neglected. I dont understand how she could have brought us TWO refills on our tea and crackers for my son and not have realized, "Hey, their food is taking a long time, let me see whats going on here." We were very disappointed with our experience that day, and I cant say that well return.

Went there in July for breakfast and never ordered let alone eat in this nasty place. The smell of disgusting dirty wash rag was so overwhelming and the floors where so covered in mud and food that I couldnt believe people were actually eating. When I got up to walk out the waitress asked what was wrong, I figured if she didnt know there was no point in telling her. The second time was this AM and I figured Id give it a another shot, mainly because it was 4AM and I was starving. Three eggs, chorizo, home fries and toast, real easy right? No such luck. I actually took a photo of it because words are not adequate to describe what was supposed to be food. Eggs runny, home fries undercooked, toast so covered in yellow product that it soaked thru 2 napkins and all of it tasting of something that they are actually calling chorizo. I literally thought I might vomit. Do your self a favor, wait until 6AM and drive another block and eat at Grams.

Sorry to burst any ones bubble. The food may be ok for comfort food if you like your cook handeling your food with out gloves. Its filthy and if you look under the table on the walls there is dirt on the walls from the filthy mop they use. You get what you pay for. Your condiments on your sandwiches and burgers such as lettuce, tomatos ect are put on your food with dirty hands without gloves. While the cook helps him self to eat with his bare hands fingers to mouth then makes your food. Servers sneaking food off of your plates before they searve you. But by all means help your self.

This is by far THE best place to get a bite to eat in DeLand. When I was a front desk clerk at a local hotel, i would always recommend to my guest that they should eat there and never once did I get a negative review when our guest would tell me about their supper. They have a wide variety in their menu, great hospitality, and of course mouth watering food. If this place shall ever close their doors again (knock on wood) i believe it would be dooms day in DeLand.. Keep it up Big Rig ! You make everyone happy!!!!! Much love!

Ive lived here long enough I used to go to the original Big Rig. The food is always great and cooked perfectly. Its never greasy like some home cooking restaurants are. It doesnt matter what time of day you visit, what you order, who cooks or who serves. Your visit will be equally satisfying each time.

Lots of food, not expensive. Servers are awesome, personable, and kid-friendly. Love that they are open 24/7. Got homeade meatloaf special with 3 side and a giant lemon square for $8.95. Got salad as a side and they brought a big, fresh salad. Turned into a 3-course meal. Going back soon.

Best damn breakfast place around. One of they only places you can just make up whatever you want and they make it, no questions. I love it. My staple favorite is blackened catfish, sautéed onions and grits. She always talks me into the eggs. #nomenu #breakfast #bestintown #deland

My favorite restaurant in Deland! So much to choose from. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, theres something for any craving. Usually I opt for one of the breakfast plates. Beware of the pancakes!!! They are HUGE! Their burgers and chicken fries steaks are to die for. YUMMY!!!

Used to be great. Cooks care more about their 305s than the food. 4 top comes in. Get pushed back 20 min. Sent food back twice. Bugs on the table, floor and window. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else
