Terrible lunch experience. It was hot in the restaurant when we walked in. It took a long time to get seated because there were only three servers and one was doing double duty as a hostess and cashier. There were flies buzzing around and I should have left then. The chips they brought were greasy and my fork was dirty. They never even brought my youngest son a fork. We ordered two lunch chimichangas and three chicken soft tacos. They brought out five tacos. Three chicken just like he ordered with no tomatoes or lettuce and two ground beef ones with lettuce and tomato. The waitress apologized and said the kitchen misread her ticket and made the ground beef hard tacos by mistake instead of our lunch chimichangas. They were cold and excessively greasy as well as wrong. She said the kitchen was working on our food. It came out 10 actual minutes later after they had already cleared my youngest sons plate. By this time we were almost late for an appointment and lo and behold they couldnt find my ticket and didnt offer to comp anything for our trouble. We left there with 6 minutes to get to my appointment and a stomach ache. I have never written a review like this and I hope I never again am sufficiently dissatisfied to write this type of review. You can make up your own mind if you like but that is the last dime of my money they will ever get.

Started off fantastic! Building looked nice with new roof and clean when you walked in. Atmosphere was authentic and family friendly with the exception of the news channel showing disasters from around the world. The plasma tvs were nice though. Some of the chairs were sticky. We were pleasantly suprised when we got fresh guacamole and salsa with our chips. Nice touch. We ordered Cinco De Mayo appetizer which was great. The Shrimp cocktail was also very good. It started to go down hill a bit once we got any food with steak. It was hard and over cooked as if it had been sitting for awhile. We also got the Garbage Burrito, they forgot to put in guacamole, the ground beef was hard and clumpy. Service was good but food took a little longer than normal with hardly anyone there. Food arrived at different times and staff was eating watermelon together at the bar in front of customers. Food overall was okay and could be a lot better if they work on it a bit along with improved staff dining eticit. We may give them one more try. Its hard to find good Mexican food in central Florida.

We eat at the Mi Tierra in DeLand, but its the same family operation its always been even after all these years. The new facility in Orange City is far larger, which is a very good thing. This is more of a Cal-Mex than a Tex-Mex restaurant--the owner told me this himself when I commented on how their recipes for some items were different than what I expected. (For example, their pico de gallo has avocado in it. You have no idea how different and wonderful that is.) Cyndee has already commented on that but I figured Id confirm it. If youre in the area and want some really great good, try one of the two locations. You wont be disappointed.

I am a gringo who LOVES latin food. I grew up in Miami, before moving to Monterey, CA. In CA, I learned what great Mexican food was. There are many good Mexican restaurants in our area, but none that equal Mi Tierra. Great prices, staff that treat you like family and food that is WONDERFUL. Most restaurants rely on dishes with beef (ground or fajita steak) or chicken only. Very few serve pork dishes. Their Chili Verde (pork) dishes have outstanding flavor. Its like your best Mexican friends grandmother is cooking for you. Terrific food...cheap. It doesnt get any better than this... Enjoy!

To start with the atmosphere was hopping! Music and lots of bustling around. We ordered margaritas which were delicious. They brought chips and salsa- three kinds! The smoky one was my favorite. My friend got the marinated beef fajitas and I got the chicken tamales and Chile rellano. By far the best Chile rellano Ive had in awhile. The chicken tamale was slightly dry but still good. Service was good even though they were super busy for their special taco Tuesday! I will definitely come back!

My Girlfriend and I went here last night. When we pulled up to the colorful building we were doubtful of how the food and service might be...but when we walked in the door it was just like going to Mexico. The Enviroment was very enjoyable. They had a true mariachi. The food was great, if you are from the southwest if will remind you of home. The prices were lower than I had expected. We had an APP and 2 full course meals for $32.00. This is the place to go for Authentic Mexican Food!

This restaurant is small in size. However, its cozy and clean. I love the family environment. The food is affordable and still so very good! Great authentic mexican food and reasonable prices here. Also, you get service with a smile and they always have great attitudes. Also, the staff treat everyone super nice, regardless of race. I should know! Any way, this restaurant gets five stars from me. Thanks!

The food here is always fresh and delicious, as are the salsas. Everything is flavorful without being too spicy hot. Our server, Wendy, was fantastic too. The only issue there is that the music is way too loud to have a normal conversation over dinner. But the music is fun and the restaurant is festive. We love this place!

Good food doesnt make up for poor service and given wrong orders. Ordered fireball shots and got tequila. Ordered meat welldone and got rare. Didnt get to eat because of being pregnant, cant eat rare food. Waitress was told that when wem ordered. She asked if we wanted her to throw to it away.

Outstanding quality, authenticity and taste of the food, and decor, impeccable courteous service, family ambience, including a tv with children programming... Excellent pricing... Please DO NOT PLAY Reggaeton as musical background it destroys the Mexican experience and the atmosphere
