This is now my go to place for casual meetups, quick noshes with the boyfriend before a night out, and drinks with friends anytime of day. Weve been just 4 to 5 times in recent months, and already the friendly, fun, and talkative staff has started to greet us like old friends- an immediate major plus in my book. Its seat yourself in the warm and inviting pub, and theres always room to squeeze in despite it comfy closeness. Never having been abroad myself, it fits perfectly in my romanticized view of what Irish pubs should be- the design looks like someones inviting home complete with fireplace, and the booths are thoughtfully placed to accommodate large groups or just the two of us. There are always regulars engaging in converation with the staff, but it never feels like youre excluded even when youre new to the place. Great selection of whiskey; so far weve had a few of our mainstays, a few friend recommendations, and one the bartender offered after learning our tastes. The bartenders will also make a Black Velvet with a bottled cider, since Im not a fan of Magners (the only cider on tap) and theyre really helpful when undecided. The food! Holy crap, the food. The scotch egg is amazing, and the sausage rolls are heavenly (my boyfriend and I have to get two orders now because we dont want to share) The stew is perfect, with huge meaty chunks and veggies, and the shrimp & crab chowder is insanely good. Get the fries with a side of gravy- I dip EVERYTHING in this gravy. I cant wait to try more off the menu - the mussels, the sandwiches, any of the savory pies. My friend is a huge fan of the Irish Nachos and gets them every time. Restrooms are clean all the time, and we never have to wait for anything, whether its a friendly greeting, a conversation about the super bowl half-time show, our food, or the check when were ready to leave (which would be never if I had my choice). A great place to be, if youre looking for a great low key date night, a rousing game of cards with friends (the booths seem to be designed with this is mind), or a quick pint in the afternoon before your friend leaves town (or work, whatever you like )

The Celt is the best kept secret in the Downtown district. This is not your normal run of the mill sports bar. The food is fantastic with a wide variety to choose from. They will make you any kind of shot you can imagine, and the service is fun, friendly, and quick. I always know that when I go to the Celt I will have a great time and this past St. Pattys day was no exception. The owners of this establishment opened up the side ally to allow for more guest...Brilliant! The crowd was fun and into the spirit of the holiday. My friends and I went to a few bars downtown that evening and The Celt was bar far the most fun. Bravo!!! I read the review from "Stephany" and have to say that she is a lier. There is NO WAY that the bartender dumped her beers, that the Manager was being yelled at, or the Manger said the staff was suppose to be rude. Come on Really? This chick is jacked up and I hope she never comes back. The clientele of the Celt are fun and happy people and this chick doesnt know the meaning of those words. As far as the crowds, is was an Irish holiday, I suppose that is why she decided to party at the Celt. As far as crowds go, yes there were a lot of people but the staff was more than ample in service and there was plenty of room with the outside area and the room upstairs. Again, Bravo to the staff and owners of this bar in making this past St. Pattys Day Celebrations a wonderful experience.

Best place ever! Not really sure what the "Stephany" lady is talking about. The Harp and Celt is where its at...where do I begin. I have been a patron of the Harp and Celt for years. Not only is the service top notch the food and drink choices are amazing. They have taken care of my friends, co-workers, family and myself for many different functions with headcounts of upwards of 30 people in my party with the upmost attention to detail, and always a smile on their face. Maybe "Stephany" needs to take a closer look at how she conducts herself and re-examine her unrealistic expectations during one of the most populated days of the year for an Irish establishment. Hello, of course plastic cups would be utilized to support the volume of customers and to also insure safety to all. The sad thing is I am giving "Stephany" the attention she wants Im sure she has complained about other places she goes too, it seems some just arent happy no matter what you do. I am a Sales and Leadership trainer for a very well known company and have used the service I have received at the Harp and Celt as an example of what to do as it relates to stellar customer care. So if you havent tried the Harp and Celt go check it out...I know you wont be disappointed!

I was there for St. Pattys and had a great time. Yes, it was crowded and most everyone was friendly and having a great time, too. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I didnt have any trouble getting served. I sampled a number of their food specialties they had set up for the party and enjoyed every one of them. The outdoor patio atmosphere really worked well for me, as it was the PERFECT evening to be outdoors, so i roamed in and out of the place over the course of the evening. It came in especially handy when I wanted a snack and found the outdoor food court really great. Booze, too! No need for me to go back to the inside bar. I would go here again for just about any event. They also had large screen satellite games in progress, but I think everyone was too involved with their friends to pay much attention. I was focused on all the wildly dressed St. Pattys revelers and thought it was a great crowd, and some of the friendliest people around. Im not actually from Orlando, but am definitely considering this spot as a place to be when next years St. Patricks Day comes around!

H&C is my go to for downtown food. Its a little Irish pub that gets PACKED for soccer games. It looks like a little dive bar but the food is outstanding. I always start with the potato leek soup- creamy and delicious. The magnolia melt is a favorite of mine... ham, turkey and swissed on pressed french bread, simple yet perfect. I love their steak fries and always order a side of HP sauce to dip them in! Their wings are really good too.. and the sauce is made with Irish whiskey, cant go wrong with that! The mussels another one of my favorites, they are cooked in Magners cider and butter and garlic. Random combination but it just works. Ive never had a bad thing and Ive tried the majority of their menu. The service is always friendly and great.

One Sunday morning I found myself wandering downtown with a few hours to kill and an empty belly. Not only was this place open, it had a bunch of regulars enjoying the atmosphere inside. The atmosphere, I should mention, was exactly what youd expect from an Irish pub, which was perfect. I especially loved the map of Ireland on the wall (we hail from Wexford a generation or three ago). I ordered the Irish breakfast and was not disappointed. Also on the agenda that morning was a bloody mary, which was served in a pint glass and garnished traditionally with a stalk of celery. Definitely recommend this location if youre in need of a pint or just long for an authentic Irish pub experience.
