Ive been to plenty of late night diners over the years (i.e. Dennys, Flashback, IHOP...etc.) , and some of the service Ive received there was unacceptable....but, tonight was a much different story. I worked at my restaurant from 9am to 1am, and all I wanted was a cup of coffee when I left. I decided to go to Waffle House by 595 and Davie Rd. From the moment I walked in, Rafael took care of everything. He recommended the All-Star Breakfast, so that I had a little bit of everything. When I asked for coffee, he said "Ill make you a fresh pot right now" and when it came to refills he let me know that I was the only guest who ordered coffee, so that pot was basically for me. I spoke with Rafael after the meal, and it felt like I was just talking to an old friend I hadnt seen in awhile, compared to a server/guest interaction. He is the prime example of a Successful Guest Service Model. If you go to this Waffle House at night, on the weekend.. Make sure you ask for Rafael. And to the Waffle House representatives that may read this.... Make sure you treat him well, because I will hire him in a New York minute to manage my restaurant.

I cant believe Im giving a WF 5 stars but this location was awesome. I was stopping in before I had to catch a flight and since I used uber I had all my luggage with me. The guys helped me wheel my luggage over to the table. Courtney was my server and did an amazing job, she chatted with us for a bit, helped work out a bit of a unique order and was just fun to have as a server. The food was standard WF food, you either like it or you dont (I only eat it a few times a year, so it tasted great to me). When I paid at the end of the meal I told Courtney how much extra I was going to tip her and asked her to guy (Tinsy was his name maybe?) that made sure I didnt miss my turn in line and wheeled the luggage to the table. She said she had made plenty of money that day and would tip him $5. Thats a good team. Its not much, but they are looking out for each other and in the end its the customers that benefit from the little things.

Love the food but not the service or the system they use to wash the silverware. The server have to clean the silverware by hand with a brush that its seating down in a pot of who knows what? Could someone tell me why they dont own a dishwasher? How they sanitized the plates? Or everything else? Its the first time I notice this... I ask for plastic and she ( my server ) told me that was for the orders to go not to dinne in. I told her that I dont felt comfortable with the way they handle the dirty dishes and she told me that the plastics utensils was for the to go orders. Well, I use the silverware with the most dislike feeling in the word. I would not go back even though I love their special , hash browns and waffles.

I love Waffle House I have been to this location numerous times every single time Ive been theres always been something wrong... this time they had no silverware they made my order with onions. I specifically said no onions at least 3 times when I placed the order I had to ask for ketchup 5 times. the time before last I called to make a to go order and they put me on hold for 30 minutes and never picked the phone back up...until i arrived and seen the phone still off the hook. the time before that they were out of country gravy horrible attitude. I just think everybody at this location should be fired they obviously hate their job and do not want to be there horrible horrible customer service

for one I know it was Christmas Eve probably pretty busy but the spot itself needed some cleaning up. the service was horrible they forgot half of my food order. had to remake my waffle it had sat so long it was like rubber when I got it. not to mention the staff argued with each other the entire time I was seated. I actually had to say something to two of the staff members as it was Christmas and say to much drama for a holiday breakfast. I felt like climbing behind the counter and cleaning the floors I used to visit this particular spot years ago and it was great.... my how times have changed.

When we first came in no one greeted us, and the tables were filthy. After we found seating we sat there for 15 minutes and the waitress did not acknowledge us. She was sitting down using her phone, and when she was done with her phone she decided to serve us. I think self presentation is important no matter where you work the waitress uniform was disgusting it had weird stains all over it. It made me uncomfortable and I didnt trust the food. Luckily our food was done in great timing and it was ok. I wouldnt go back because the customer service was awful.

If you manage to find parking in this small location after 20 mins, be prepared to wait another 20 in line to get a table. I had never been to a Waffle House before so came in to see what was so great about this chain. Eggs, bacon, waffles; It cant be that hard right? Its what you do all day everyday. Somehow they managed to ruin breakfast. Ordered eggs that came out really dry, burnt waffles, and crispy bacon that was soggy and flimsy. Skip this place unless you really want to pay for subpar food and want to park a block or two away.

No greeting, stood around awhile before asking if we could seat ourselves; after ordering, had to ask three times for cream to go along with my coffee; had to ask for lettuce and tomato which should have been on chicken sandwhich; waitress walked by my empty coffee cup three times before I had to ask for a refill; then she tried to charge me for the coffee which should have come with meal. Go back to waitress school?!?

Horrible just horrible. Got fed up ended up just eating elsewhere. Pretty much felt forgotten even though we were sitting right at bar. Had to remind our waiter for our drinks. Received partial order with no cutlery. Had another person order served to me. This place just needs to heavy training. Even had water splashing on me from the waiter vigorous dishwashing with no regard to us sitting in front of him.

Got a to go order, and felt the food was good, but, as I was paying for my food, I witnessed Charles drop an egg. Rather than mopping/sweeping /wiping it up, I saw him use the water faucet extension to use the water to bread it up and push it under the fridge. I kept hoping he would get a mop or something, but once finished, he got a fresh set of gloves and continued cooking. Be warned.

Came here for late night bite to eat. Prices were fair, staff was attentive but not overbearing, and food was quite good. Pretty expansive menu of typical diner fare, with hashbrowns and waffles being some of their most popular items. I went with a patty melt and my companion order the steak sandwich, both were very good - almost better than expected. Would definitely come here again.
