Let me just say that when you walk in it is quite vibrant and homey. Reason for the one star, I ordered take out and of course when I get home to eat it, the chicken sandwhich (Natural Grill with honey mustard dressing did not contain any dressing (so it was dry as a bone). Then I look and they had placed cheese on top (I did not order cheese). The chocolate cake was old and dry (when we saw the one in the glass case it looked fresh, but they mustve snuck in an old piece from the back. My friend ordered the Cobb salad and they left out the charred corn niblets. I mean get it right people! Coleslaw was a nice texture and balance of slaw to dressing but needed a lot of salt and pepper to make it tasty. Tried to call and on their take out menu its a corporate number not even the local number and so I searched and finally found it and it was busy for an hour. I do want a refund cause they royally screwed up. The actual crispy chicken on the salad was good. If anyone from Spring Chicken reads this and would like to give me some attention, that would be appreciated.

Spring chicken is one of my favorite restaurants, which is why Im sad to say that I cannot go back there. Today, I experienced some of the worst customer service Ive ever seen at this establishment. I called to order when I was about 15 minutes away, was put on hold, and then left on hold for no less than 20 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant and showed the ongoing call to the manager, he halfheartedly responded with, "Were very sorry, as you can see we are very busy." I told him I had a hungry two-year-old waiting for his lunch, which would now be much later than it shouldve been, and he apologized again, looking very unapologetic and waited for me to order. I wasnt looking for free food, but I cannot believe that thats all they did to make up for this mistake. I was so angry at being treated this way that I walked out. Is this what customer service has come to? Excuses and disdainful apologies? I love the food at this restaurant, but the customer service has been declining steadily since they opened, and at this point, I dont think I can go back.

Positives: clean, fresh food... Negatives: chicken is too spicy and was not expecting that. The item description does not say spicy... Details: firstly, I had to listen to a full conversation between employees and the manager when I arrived before I was even greeted (not pleasant). They were openly talking about blocking Uber eats customers... I ordered the two piece (grilled white breast) and waited about 10+ minutes, even though the place was empty. The main issue is: the chicken breast was too spicy. (If you like spice, youre good). I cant eat spicy food and the item description doesnt say that the chicken is spicy! I took the item back to the manager hoping for an exchange but he explained that all the chicken there is seasoned with a spice. He didnt offer any compensation or exchange simply thats the way it was! Just be warned that if you dont like spice you should consider another place.

First time there for lunch. Line moved quickly but noticed crowd blocking exit by register. Should have paid more attention. An HOUR later, got semi- order in take out bags when we were eat in. Asked for salad without tomatoes but of course came with. Country BBQ crispy chicken sandwich was grilled instead. Had to return,15 minutes later, get another one...grilled again. All this for $27 for wrong sandwich and fries, salad with tomatoes.... a diaster to say the least. We were told it was unusually busy. It was lunch time without exceptional long line. Our food beeper did not match our order number. It was pretty tragic. Manager went to help get orders out but no one approached customers. Lots of unhappy customers today.

Good news: they use Yardbirds fried chicken recipe. Bad news: they did not bother emulating Yardbirds excellent service. Ive been 5 or 6 times because the food really is good, but they have gotten my order right exactly once. Pro tip: if you want them to exclude the added scallions from something, dont bother asking for them to do it, just bring a pair of tweezers. They plainly have a company policy to ignore that request. Every time. A little pricy, but the food is solid. Best fried chicken Ive had in Miami (yeah, a bit of a low bar- theres no way this would be a hot spot in Atlanta or Chicago), and if they start getting orders right occasionally, will really be a solid place.

Great chicken if you ask for bone in (Ive only had the pieces-none of the sandwiches). The tenders I have found to be dry at times-but still quite flavorful. The sides to me are the bomb-and they switch it up every so often (theyve gone from mint watermelon salad to coleslaw and now I gotta find out what they have-THEIR MACNCHEESE IS SO COMFORTING). It is slightly more expensive-and you can easily spend 15-20 per person if you add extra items or different sides not included with the platter. The restaurant itself is also very homey-with great outdoor space, albeit some parking issues during busy times.

This southern fried chicken restaurant in South Miami is definitely a welcome addition to the food options in this area. The fried chicken is very good as are the sides like the mac n cheese, the watermelon and biscuits. We got a "bucket of bird but they have great fried chicken sandwiches too. The restaurant was very full so food took awhile but it is all cooked to order so understandable. The decor is very modern with a nice southern feel and the service is pretty good as well. Overall, we really liked Spring Chicken and we will absolutely return again soon!

If youre the sort of person that enjoys paying a lot of money for barely any food, this is the place for you. For almost ten dollars, you can buy 2 really small pieces of above average fried chicken with a large heaping of mediocre fries and cole slaw. If you also like paying 75 cents for each packet of butter and jam, youd also enjoy your time here. They even give their butter and jam fancy names to fool you into thinking that youre paying for some high quality jam and butter.

My first time was disappointing, the chicken portions were way too small and werent that flavorful, the slaw tasted like it was just tossed in Dijon honey mustard, my fries was its only saving grace and thats not saying much. My fiancé had a chicken biscuit sandwich which looked better than my 2pc but the biscuit was falling apart with each bite. Ive had way better chicken at Popeyes than this place. Pricy, will not go back nor suggest anyone I know to go. Such a Shame

They should not call them Jumbo Tenders. They were very small and dry. You can get better chicken tenders at Publix. Ive had the Chicken biscuit at Yardbird and there is no comparison. They use chicken breast at Yardbird. Spring Chicken uses a chicken thigh that is much heavier and greasier. The biscuit and jelly on were good but that was it. Dont come here thinking you will get the same experience as in Yardbird. This place is not even close to that.
