"First off this restaurant is large and looks nice from outside. The interior decor is a mess of knick knacks, cultural items, mis matched furniture, and light fixtures that dont work. We went on a Friday night and it wasnt busy. Half of the restaurant was actually shut down and dark. Despite the numerous empty booths and lack of customers we were forced to wait for another customers table for 15 minutes. We were finally seated across from another table that was dirty and they did not even bus it until 45 minutes later. We also had a view of the "gameroom" which appeared to be a make shift pattio for the employees and their kids to hang out on in between serving tables. The menu had at least 100 items which was overbearing. Overall the food was 13-14 $ a BOWL or pot. I have never eaten Indian food before so I oped to pay the extra 2 $ (16 $ total) and get the Taste of India which consisted of lamb, shrimp, and chicken in a almond type curry I think called Korma.I was highly disappointed at dinner seeing as my food which cost more was the same exact small portion as my husband food and consisted of 2 large shrimp that tasted fishy and unfresh, 2 one inch chunks of lamb, and multiple chunks of chicken. I thought they all would be prepared a little different, but all three items were thrown into the curry sauce and basically melded into one over bearing flavor. Lastly, we spent 40$ on two entrees and had no leftovers. I actually left feeling hungry and a bit like my taste buds had been assaulted. I would be willing to try other Indian restaurant, but this one is terrible and clearly on its last leg. Will never return."

Placed an order (Appam and Egg curry) with George for 120 folks on 4/22/2016 to cater on 5/1/2016. George gave me the prize and confirmed the order on 4/22. I called again on 4/30 around 8PM and spoke with George to check on the order. Note - My fault for not following up on the placed order few days ago. I asked George on 4/30, are we all set for 5/1 order? George put me on hold and came back telling that they cannot cater the order. I was like, what? George told me that I did not confirm the order. I was like, really George? I asked him, then why did you tell me to pay $ via cash or check not made payable to Taste of India. Then, George came up with some BS excuse, that he was not able to secure Appam(s) from NY (I wonder it was frozen appam). I was so disappointed but it was my fault for not calling Taste of India atleast 3 days before 5/1. One lesson learned, never place my orders with Taste of India and if I got no choice, make sure to follow up with them everyday until they get annoyed or tell me that they got it! Glad, all this happened. Reason - I placed biriyani order for 120 folks with Silver Spoon and 80% of my guests asked me where I got the biriyani from. The guests loved the biriyani! NOTE - Please do not come back and write some BS response to this post. As you know that this happened and there is nothing that can be changed.

Before that let me tell you this, we have have been regular customer at Taste of India, Brandon FL as well as Folwer Tampa FL since it was opened, we switched from Cilantro to taste of India., we at least have 1-2 parties every year and several small get together. Today as I had some guests at my home thus I called taste of India and ordered food. The estimated time given was 25 minutes, I reached there after 35 minutes and food was not ready. After waiting for 30 minutes, I asked the girl at reception how much more time would it take, and the answer was "no idea", this was most annoying and frustrating answer. How can you guys talk to your customers this way? And on top of that she was arguing "did you place order to me?" Excuse me, do I order to taste of India or individuals at taste of India? Who owns the responsibility of any bad experience to their customers? I am sorry to say but you have very unprofessional staff, causing bad experience to the customers. For examples, I had 5 guests at my home and for sure I told the story to them, and you can understand in a day or two how many ears will this story reach. I would expect to have professional experience from your staff when we visit next time. If not then we would have to look for other option

Dont ever dine-in , warning cockroaches everywhere and you will be soaked wet with your sweat than having to experience good indian food , Food was ok , good taste ( hoping there were no coackroaches in the kitchen) the ambience is awful and horrible . The a/c is broken and there were cockroaches crawling next to our table. Not sure how the kitchen could be , with such pathetic maintenance. The owner of the restaurant needs to really focus on the cleanliness and customer dine-in space before he losses customers. We went in group of 5 adults and one toddler , couldnt stay more than 15 minutes after the food is served . At least the lady who served us was little sensible and knows the situation offered a box fan which she placed next to us . But no apologies or atleast comforting the customer by agreeing their a/c broken situation, horrible management. And the management seem to be stingy as i heard the situation is that way for atleast over a month. Never going near that restaurant again.the 1 star rating is only for food and negative rating for ambience . If ambience was good the overall rating could have been much higher.

I would like to share my real observations on Mr. Dhavals comments. On 21st April 2017, during dinner time I am also one of the customer who is watching Mr. Dhavals drama. In this restaurant Papad or papadam will served as a complimentary only and if they dont have it they dont serve it. Moreover its not appetizer. Anyone can order appetizer separately from the menu. I also have seen Mr. Dhaval was shouting very loud and thrown $5 on the restaurant waiters face. What ever may the reason....Its really very cheap behavior that i have never seen in public by an Indian origin gentleman. Another bad thing is he done all these things in front of his kids and family. Its really a bad lessons for them. Hope his kids will not do the same cheap behavior in their future. Bottom line, 100+ reviews already are there as a strong proof of the quality service by "Taste of India". As as witness of this whole drama, i am taking my quality time to share my observations. Would like to strongly communicate that my intention is not to hurt anyone here. Thanks for understanding.

I was very apprehensive to try Indian food, as I strongly dislike curry. But my girlfriends parents wanted to take us there to try it and so off we went. We had a party of 5. Offered water and menus promptly, and additional drinks as needed. Also I should mention that this is the location in Brandon, FL; not the one in West Palm Beach. I got the Chicken Tikka Dosa, and the best part about it was the lentil crepe. That was so tasty. Also we got 2 orders of garlic naan! SO GOOD. Get the naan. I wasnt a fan of the curry flavors, but it was very good. My favorite thing was what my girlfriends dad got; Chicken Malai Kabob, which I liked because it did not have curry on it. Waitress remembered all of our food and appetizers without writing it down. Took a little bit to cook everything, but that lets you know it is made fresh. Also save room for dessert! We loved the Gulab Jamun. The rose ice cream was interesting but not my favorite. All in all I really want to go there again.
