The worst place I have ever been too. Horrible food and unprofessional people. The service was awful. Being a physician, I went there couple of times in the drug rep conferences and didnt have better experience myself, but my family wanted to try a new indian restaurant, and they convinced me to take them to this horrible place. In the restaurant, we ordered Paneer Makhani, which was nothing but the bowl full of Paneers with almost no gravy, and that was mediocre quality of course. To add to that, they served us rotis which were warmed up from the previously left over food (I was sure about that!). After we got our food served, the waitress never came to ask us how the food was, and if we wanted anything else. I had to get up and get water myself twice. After we are done with dinner, I simply brought that up to the cashier while paying, and here comes the worst part. Instead of apologizing and promising us to improve their food and service, he started arguing with us and told us IF YOU DONT LIKE THE FOOD AND SERVICE THEN DONT COME HERE NEXT TIME. I couldn;t believe this. Of course I was not going to come there in the future, but this is not the way you take feed back from the customers. They behaved as if they never cared about their customers. I told them, look as a physician we conduct many conferences in the restaurants, and this could affect them a lot if they continued to serve customers like this. He says, I dont care. Many physicians come here. Thats it. I walked out of that place and decided not to go there in the future. I am going to ask all my physician friends to cancel their conferences in that restaurant.

Cafe Tandoor is truly one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I frequently dine in and carry out from the Westlake location and I do not have enough to say about it. The staff is always pleasant and attentive, the food is always wonderful, and the atmosphere is always lovely. This year they put in a new patio and we are so looking forward to the nice weather when we can eat outdoors! I am not familiar with authentic Indian cuisine and can not speak for those who have actually dined in Mumbai, but I can say that I have been to almost every Indian restaurant on the west side and this place tops the list. The experience and food will speak for itself! Cafe Tandoor has a great menu and a super wine list. Keep in mind, however, that this is fine dining, and priced as such. Well worth it for such a great place, in my opinion!

My wife and I just ate here and had an amazing experience. Our waiter Adam was very good at explaining certain dishes and drinks and made some very good recommendations. We ended up ordering too much but gladly brought the leftovers home. Because this was our first visit, we were given a rice dish on the house as well as the ice cream dessert. The only bad thing I have to say is there will be some serious listerine and brushing of the teeth to get the odor off our breaths. But the food and service was outstanding! The one poor review I see is rather shocking after our visit. It is so polar to what our experience was. I am not saying it is incorrect, as I have definitely been to places with high ratings only to be personally disappointed. However I think this place is worth the risk.

We have been going here for years, It has been our favorite Indian Food Restaurant, so much that we drove all the way from Parma for it. We went today and my daughter barely ate her food. My husband and I enjoyed our meals but not as much as we used to. We always end the meal with Ras Malai (my daughter with ice cream) and today it was AWFUL . It looked sloppy, the consistency was all wrong, and the flavor was off. It wasnt until I tasted my daughters pistachio ice cream that I realized the Rasmalai was missing pistachios entirely. On our way out, we took a spoonful of the candy-coated fennel (which we also always have) and they tasted like lotion or soap or something, even 3 tictacs couldnt get that taste out. I am sorry Café Tandoor, but your changes have ruined you.

Small place with home made food served with care. We were late reaching the place as we were at the beach for the evening. They took extra care for making safe and light meal for us. The owners are a team of cook and front desk, and they took care of us nicely.... Service needs a little more attention as we had to call them a few times to get us water or something more...perhaps it could be because of the end of the long day...they would engage with you and listen to your experience about their food. I liked the personal touch of the chef to come out and ask about the meal.

I just visited Cafe Tandoor for the first time this evening and had an overall good experience. We ordered Shrimp Curry, Rogan Josh, saffron rice, and garlic naan for dinner. Both the service and food was good-(I ordered my food at a "mild" heat level). I was a smidge disappointed in the mildness of the heat....as it had zero. The saffron rice was also a bit hard and lacking that rich saffron flavor. For dessert we got an order of kheer, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a nice place.

I really enjoyed the authentic Indian dishes served at Cafe Tandoor! I always get an order of vegetable samosas, some onion kulcha or garlic nan, and a spicy vegetarian dish. My boyfriend has had the Tandoori Salmon, which was WONDERFUL. I come back here again and again: every time, the food is so yummy I invariably stock-up on "take-away" orders whenever I visit. I re-heat these for a particularly tasty lunch or dinner during the workweek, when Im too busy to cook. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I thought Id try a new place out & had high expectations for a place claiming to be best in Cleveland. I ordered a 4/10 and it came out a 0. It didnt even seem to have salt in it either. Very bland. Most entrees do not automatically come with rice. Wait staff is not very attentive. Both Namaste and India Garden in Lakewood are superior to this place. Papadam is free at India Garden and they give you extra rice for free. Will not be coming here again nor would I recommend.

Awesome restaurant. They are very friendly. The food is great. My wife and I like Indian food but not too spicy and they are happy to prepare it the way we like. She likes the baingan bharta low on the onions and they are happy to do it custom for her. Very fresh - very healthy and much better than most of the other Indian food I have eaten.

Ive only tried Indian food at two other places and wasnt a huge fan of it. Because of a few reviews on here, I figured Id give it a try, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Saffron rice and actually liked it a lot, would absolutely eat here again. The place was clean, the food was fast, the staff was on point.
