Second time around at the Central Perk, so I figured a review is in order. I checked this place out with my friend since it had the same name as in FRIENDS :-) To be honest, it was more for her entertainment. Obviously its not trying to be like the the cafe in the TV show, we really just wanted to grab some coffee. I was sorted with bold double and my lady happy with her cappuccino. Previous time I got a red-eye. And in both occasions their robust servings where a great pick me up. Nice sandwiches too. Just a bit of a wait, but well worth it. For me the quality of the coffee and food is important than prompt service. Would be nice if they had more of a hipster CAFE feel, without the hipsters of course. Bottom line, if you want a good cup, this is the place.

Im only giving this establishment one star because I absolutely have to. It deserves none to be quite honest. Respect your customers!! If YOU make a mistake on someones order. FIX IT and make it right. Being a restaurant manager for almost ten years Im absolutely appalled by the customer service from your manager. I will NOT recommend this place to any of my fellow UD classmates or anyone for that matter.

Extremely rude to customers. Every time Ive gone here, my order has been messed up without any apologies. I work in the food service industry and you should know that the customer is always right. I will be skipping this place next time I need a good environment to study and going to one of the other coffee shops on Main Street.

The house coffee is, hands-down, the best in Newark. The environment is perfect with mellow, indie music luring your mind to work diligently, and wi-fi internet is fast and convenient. Never had a bad experience. I cant say I will ever have one. Perfect coffeehouse for the academically busy college student

Great atmosphere, some ambiguity in regards to how they make drinks. Ordered a macchiato and received a mug with a shot of espresso and filled to the brim with foam. Please properly train your employees on how to make basic espresso beverages.

The coffee and breakfast sandwiches are just ok. But the service is friendly and the food is timely. Atmosphere is nice, all around would recommend.
