Terrible service. We ordered the daily special - out. Waited 10 minutes then ordered pizza- out of pizza dough. Our app, theYumidilla, another special of the day, took more than 20 minutes before asking our server where it was. She said, "I was just thinking the same thing" but she had been standing in the kitchen just chatting it up and made no effort to say anything about it to us, most likely because she forgot to ring it in. Then we were told it would be another 2 minutes because they were "melting it down". Ok, we understand how a quesadilla is made. Then the server proceeded to auction of my entree to two other tables before returning it to the kitchen. Then auction off two more entrees because no server knew which table ordered which entree. Mnd you, there were only three 2 tops inside at this point!! 10 minutes later my previously auctioned off entree came out with my girlfriends food, they couldnt even remember which plate was for each of us, but that was understandable. 2 minutes after getting our entrees she dropped off the check. We had to ask for refills on drinks after she came and picked up plates and our drinks were empty but she did not notice. This place smelled amazing and looked like a place we would enjoy. We were fooled. I would go as far to say we " went mad" while dining in this place. Unfortunately for them, they have defacated on the name of one of our favorite Alice stories and movies. I ate the food only because we were there for an hour and were starving. Otherwise we would have left.

On the outside Through the Looking Glass looks like a wonderful place to have lunch with friends. We were severely disappointed. Nearly half the items on the menu were unavailable due to their lack of preparation. I must have ordered about five times, each time the waitress coming back 5 minutes later to inform us that we had to make another decision. It became so bad that the cook herself came out of the kitchen and chastised us--us!--for our poor decisions and that there were other restaurants nearby if we were going to continue to be so difficult. Talk about customer service! I had to tell the lady that we were just looking for a quick bite to eat, and after an hour we finally had the bland remnants of their ice box on our plates. She then apologized and said that we should not have come, because it was a Tuesday and they do not get new shipments until Wednesdays. Not our problem. It is their responsibility to keep food in stock, not our responsibility to order at their convenience. If Tuesdays are so bad for them they should either order more food or simply go dark. A waste of time, money, and stomach space. About the only thing that was any good was their home-baked bread, which was quite good but nothing to write home about.

Worst experience ever! There were several items listed on the menu that werent available. The server didnt notify me of the unavailable items until after I chose one. I ordered 3 times and then I finally asked, what IS available?? The server was only worried about ending her shift for the day. She was on the phone, talking to her coworkers and doing everything but taking care of her guests. I served in restaurants for 5 years so I can relate to the industry. I understand the struggles of waiting tables but it wasnt even busy. The service was just horrendous and the food wasnt worth the wait. I waited 20 minutes for a quesadilla. I was never offered a drink refill, I had to request one. Im sorry but part of a servers job is to notice thIngs like empty cups and have good communication. Instead of avoiding the table, let guests know that their food will be out shortly and offer drink refills. Its also helpful to be knowledgable of the menu and whats available for the day. The other guests around me were unhappy too. We all started making jokes to each other because of the long wait and terrible service. I would recommend molly Mcguires over this place. I thought I would try something new but regretted it and will never go back.

Dori & Steve are the nicest people, and they run a great little establishment. All the food is cooked to order so it takes a little longer than your typical restaurant, but its worth the wait. I have been there 20 or so times, last night had the crab cakes. Came with a really good remoulade and nice veggies. Which, by the way, are not all buttered up and scare me with cholesterol jumping right off them. Everything cooked healthy, but somehow manage to taste great! I left literally nothing on the plate.

Pros: Decent food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Quaint atmosphere with eclectic decor. Scratch made food. Live music. Cons: The restaurant is tiny and even the waitresses have a hard time getting around the dining room without bumping into chairs. It took over 45min to get our dinners. After a 45min wait it was good food but not great. We called to make a reservation but no one told the hostess. Thankfully there was still a table available as we were having an early dinner.

Food was excellent, but took a long time to arrive. The second visit gave us less than good service. After waiting 45 min. for our entrees, the waitress came over to the table within 10 min and gave us the check. Didnt ask how the food was . Just, heres the check. Another waitress came and cleared my husbands plate while I was still eating! Wiped the table at his place. I told her that I felt rushed,& she just shrugged.

The service was slow, the food was sub-par, and the dining space was cramped. We also had the pleasure of being delighted by the presence of the owner, Dorie Perdie. Our food half eaten and our backs sore, we politely expressed our concerns about our experience and she was not apologetic or interested -- basically telling us to go somewhere else if you are not happy. Well Dorie...we will.

We waited 25 minutes to get a menu!!! Others around were asking the other tables for menus, and the disappointed looks that everyone was giving each other were amazing!! It took 10 minutes to get 2 glasses of water and we were not waiting even longer to get our food!! This place SUCKS!!! NEVER GO HERE!!!

Good atmosphere for a small hole inthe wall shop. The rest was pretty poor, i waited 40 minutes for my food. Just simple french toast except it was as leathery as an african elephant. Overall a place to spend money for tourists. If you want good food place head up the hill to 3 kids market

We wouldnt come back to this restaurant. The food was decent, but not for the cost. We ate here for lunch, maybe the dinner is better. We were the only folks in the place the entire time and our lunch took about 25/30 minutes to come out. The place felt really dirty on top of that.

Terrible. It took 10 minutes for us to even see a waiter and another 10 to get water. Our food took almost 30min and we had to ask them to prepare it to go. When we got on the road we realized they gave us the wrong order. Terrible experience.

The food was ok, nothing special. The decor was excellent. However, the service was awful. It took 1.5 hours for three salads and a grilled cheese to come, also, other tables were served before us.
