Oh my. I was going to try some place new in Meriden, based on its reviews. But they said it was going to take an hour and a half to deliver. (Its 4 miles from my house. Go figure) So I come back to my old standby, Dragon Phoenix. And am I ever glad I did. They took my order, and did it to exact specifications. I mean, hold the scallions, peppers. Little oil. Make the beef with broccoli extra spicy. Forty five minutes? No problem. Please take my card number over the phone, thank you! And it was delivered in 30 minutes. Nice, perfectly cooked meaty bone-in ribs, pork egg roll, chicken with cashew nuts. No peppers, no scallions. No onions. Beef very nicely spicy with broccoli, no scallions, little oil. And nice delivery lady, extra tip! Very nicely appreciated, came out in nasty nasty weather. Dragon Phoenix, Ill not doubt you again. Thank you!

Called to make an order for delivery, and the guy said no cards??? not sure why, but okay not a huge problem since I had enough cash on me. He told me about 45 mins, and delivered in about a hlf hour, so I was happy with that. However, when I didnt answer the phone right away I received a voicemail of the guy screaming in my ear "CHINESE FOOD COME OUTSIDE", I thought it was rude. Also, I specifically asked for my rice to be made with NO onions, and sure enough I open my container and theres onions everywhere. I gave the driver a $5 tip only to later find out that my order was not made correctly. Other than that, my food was hot. Not sure if I will continue ordering from here.

An hour and 20 mints to delivered. Asked for house special fried rice and peper steak with onins ans there was 4 pieces of steak and a lot but when I say a lot there was a lot of onions and they delivered pork fried rice. Rice was sticky and no flavor at all. Will never ever buy food from there. Its not the first time I have a bad experience with this ppl. The time before this one, I called to pick up and when I got there, they had cooked a totally diferent meal of what I ordered. I had to wait 20 mints for my food. NO GOOD AT ALL! DONT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY BODY THAT DONT HAVE ANY PATIENCE... I gave one star just because I had to, to make my comment....that is all....

This place sucks. called in for our food and they told us 20-30 min. when 45 minutes passed an our food never came we called the place back and they said ohh delivery usually takes up to 1 hr. we live approximately down the street from this place. it SHOULD NOT TAKE over an hour to get our food. when we got our food it was disapointing. we had order bbq spare ribs and it came with a small portion of bbq ribs and ALOT of rice. it was as if they were trying to be cheap by putting more rice so that they can put less ribs.

Food was awful and gastly 1.) Chicken Fingers were like small greasy frozen balls, prepared fast terrible chief. 2.) Pork egg foo young was over cooked on the bottom which made the pork taste dried out, dreadful.3.) Shrimp roll was lacking shrimp, tasted like I was eating a cabbage roll. These are new owners and they charge more money than the previous which shows how much they care about quality and more worried about profits. I will never do business with Dragon Phoenix Chinese Restaurant anymore.

DO NOT EAT HERE! This was my all-time favorite Chinese restaurant in Meriden until December 24th, 2013 when I got a surprise in my Boneless Spareribs- A fried cockroach! So disgusting! I have never ordered from here since! I used to order from them for over 10 years! The people are very nice, but I cant forgive and forget a cockroach fried into my food...that is nasty.

I have lived in Meriden for just over 3 years, and this has been our go-to chinese place. We have tried them all, and this is definitely the best. I wouldnt go as far as to say its the best Chinese Ive ever had, but its among the best for the value. Also, they usually get the food to us very quickly, with some of the nicest delivery people Ive met. Highly recommend.

Have to say about 16 years ago my family and I stopped going here because our food ( four different dinners) all tasted like dish water, now with a family of my own decided to try it again and everything was excellent the only disappointment was they dont serve hot tea anymore but definitely got our business back , well done :)

I love Dragon Phoenix. Hands down, the best Chinese food in Meriden. I usually am very picky about where I purchase my fast food, but theyre awesome in quality & deliver/cook quickly. Also, their spring rolls are AMAZINGGG. Definitely a top choice ! :)

Called in order for delivery and AGAIN it was wrong. Ordered Spicy and extra sauce - was not at all Spicy and dry as hell! Not sure they even used sauce. Notes were clear on order so apparently the cook doesnt care - or management.

Order takeout quite often and usually excellent food and quick delivery. This is mainly a takeout type place. Diner is small and no atmosphere. Order takeout and you wont be disappointed.
