ITS NOT THE CHEFS FAULT. We ordered nine dishes and, overall, none of them had much flavor. However, Im positive the reason for this is NOT lack of skill on the part of the chef, but the demands of the American palate. Ill bet when the chefs family sits down to dinner, the food is mouthwateringly superb, with the delicate bite of ginger root, the nutty tang of sesame oil, and the umami of soy sauce. All of that was missing from the dishes we ordered. For example, the pan-fried meat dumplings were generously stuffed and properly cooked, but the filling was nearly flavorless. The sauce, however, was delicious, and an indication of the chefs true abilities. But it didnt accent the dish; it WAS the dish, as far as flavor was concerned. The General Tsos chicken was fairly flavorful, but the flavor profile was all sweetness. This Szechuan dish is supposed to be extremely spicy, yet there were no chiles in it...and no heat at all. The Beef Lo Mein was bland and dry, the beef was tough, and the noodles were overcooked and mushy. This dish usually has a strong, rich flavor, balanced by the delicacy of water chestnuts and the mild nuttiness of bean sprouts, both of which were missing. Overall, it was a disappointing meal. The beautifully balanced flavor profiles prevalent in all styles of Chinese cuisine were nowhere to be found. It must be depressing for the chef to have to cook like this to garner good reviews. And I wonder if theres a secret password you can give when you order to identify yourself as someone who would appreciate the chefs true skills.

well, i had ordered a letter E. and i did not receive that. i has received a letter A. i went back up to the counter and asked for a letter E because thats what i wanted and the man got very snotty and said that i asked for a letter A. but clearly i didnt because i wouldnt go back up to the counter and ask for a letter E if i wanted to eat what was in the box. so i am just slightly frustrated and no longer recommend New Main Moon.

The food taste great. The amount they give you is more than adequate. The prices are good. Ive been to all the Chinese restaurants in this area , this is by far the best! Although it is mostly take out they only have four tables. Not the best decore but they more than make up for it in food.

Expectations always met. I have been eating here since they opened, and have never been disappointed in my order. They offer fast service, decent food, at a manageable price. My son loves their "crabby goons" (crab rangoon), and the dumplings are delicious.

Where did Dave go?? This was the only place we ever went for chinese food! And today was the last. Food was bland rice was over cooked. We need to find a new chinese restaurant. Dont waste your time or money here!!!!

Some of the worst crab Rangoon Ive ever had. You can get better crab Rangoon in the frozen Isle at the supermarket. And they left the other Chinese restaurant in town a bad review for being better than them.
