Everything very good and GREAT atmosphere! The appetizer wings were crisp and coated in herbs - very different and delicious. Focaccia bread served in basket fresh and warm, eggplant parmesan hot and tasty. The pizza crust is not the New York thin style but very good. The waiter was friendly and attentive and fun. On the left as you walk in is a separate room with a long sit down bar and smaller tables in the back - a little more intimate if you are looking for that. Overall a great place!

Fantastic Italian restaurant. If youve ever been to the bakery across the street then you need to check out the actual restaurant. The decor is great inside and out. It looks like youre eating in a 1920s Italian mafia restaurant (in a good way). The pizza is great, the pasta is delicious, and the prices are generally fair for what you get. Highly recommend it. Only downside is the location in Hartford and the subsequent parking situation associated with it.

Was there last night, i ordered a pizza an the order was wrong, an the waitress could give a dam!, she told me that it was her mistake but that the pizza she showed up with should taste good and that we should eat it, what lousey answer, i had also ordered an apptizers and she shows up with it after she gave us the B/S wrong and cold Pizza, she also kept trying to push us to buy more beer, and deserts. The service SUCKED!

We were very disappointed. We went back there after years of not going there. The food was terrible, ordered a fish dish that I normally get, didnt taste nothing like it and for the price of the dish, terrible and not cheap. The service was very slow, limited attention by the staff. It took forever to get our food. Would not return. No Salad, No Apps, No Dessert, but a hefty Check. Overrated and not worth it.

Slow inattentive service, Very cool temperature in dining room needed a sweater whole time, food was not what I remember lacked luster. Very nice hostess, excellent salad, beautiful ambiance loved the celebrity black and white pictures from the past decorating the wall, History is awesome of course. This restaurant has a long history of greatness I hope it returns to what I remember because it was the best!.

Terrific Moscow Mule, Pizza , Ambiance & Service. I built my own meat-lovers pie and they did not hold back. The pie was cooked perfectly and served promptly. The barkeep was very good and makes a great Mule. The craft draft selection was okay. Tons of vintage pics on the walls. There is a cool one from John Madden that I really liked. Plenty of off street parking in the rear.

On a cold night it was nice to sit inside this buzzing restaurant. One section was curtained off for a function which we later realised was a Wine vs Beer conference. However, we had a great table with a busy yet attentive waiter. Our meals were very tasty...as was the Pinot Noir we chose to have with our meal. There...

Bread was the best part along with the bottle of wine we purchased. However, all three meals came out within 3-4mins after being ordered *seems like all food is already premade (Sausage seemed to go from frozen to being boiled then put in sauce. Sausage is very dry and no "snap" at all. Disappointed. $100 tab

Highly recommend this place, atmosphere comfortable, waitstaff very professional and attentive without being intrusive. Food quality and taste is top notch and delicious. Nice bar with a solid beer and wine selection. The pizza is my strongest recommendation, but anything you choose will be satisfying.

Our dinner was ordinary at best: pasta was over-done, meat-ball and sauce were flavorless, salad was uninspired, pizza was terrible, room was very noisy and over-crowded. First & Last is obviously just going through the motions, riding on its reputation. I will not return.

Phenomenal establishment! The food was delicious, the staff was awesome, and the wine offerings were plentiful. The stuffed eggplant was memorable! I would highly recommend a visit to First & Last, and if its open, the bakery of the same name across the street.

My clams n red sauce was mouth watering. I truly miss my old pal Joe...but the new young cashier was very pleasant ....my belly is happy but my heart was sad...no one. But his smiling face framed where he always greeted us was a sweet tribute to a dear man.

Service is always above average. Drinks at the bar are generous, but I am a good tipper. Pizza is the second best in town, but with such a wide variety of choices on the menu, if one person wants pizza and others other things, all can be happy.

Our take out pizza was the worst I have ever had. It tasted like it was made earlier today, someone didnt pick it up, anchovies were added on half, per our request, and the pie subsequently reheated, dried out and with burned pepperoni @ $26.00

A little pricey, I felt my dinner was just average. It has a lot of history within its walls, which gave the atmosphere a nostalgic feeling. Very nice. Staff was professional and pleasant. I will try another meal.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants you cant go wrong with any dinner or pizza order and excellent fresh baked breads made right across the street you have to dine at the first and last..

Service leaves something to be desired...food was decent. Went for drinks and dessert and for what I was there for, it was alright. Probably wouldnt return, unfortunately.

My favorite pizza in the area. Not the cheapest option but well worth it. They have gluten free and dairy free pizza as well that is way better than other places.

Unlike any other pizza in Hartford. You want authentic pizza? The way old school Italians originally made them early in the 20th century? Search no more.

Wish we learned about this place sooner! Great recommendation by a great person. The spaghetti is just like mom used to make. This place is a must try!

Had catering event scheduled for 50 people...confirmed 2 days prior...they never showed up! Not even a call afterward w/ an apology. Shameful.

Good but not great this visit. Server was off her game and dinners were a bit bland. Pizza looked great, maybe next time.
