Went to Rooftop 120 with a group of friends to celebrate. We first entered the establishment and had to walk trough the restaurant in order to go to outside; there were no people inside (customers nor employees). We went outside and were not even greeted at the post. Waited a minute for a host to sit us at the table. The waitress did a great job explaining the menu very well. The major problem was that she took 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. Then she would disappear for another 15 minutes, serve our drinks, disappear again, take our order, dissapear again. It felt like I was at a Las Vegas magic show for all the times she disappeared. It clearly felt like we were being ignored. The "kicker" of the night was that when we were about to pay our bill, the wind actually blows our credit card and falls between the wooded flooring, with no way to get the credit cards out. The waitress explains that "this happens all the time"... Well if this happens all the time, then why dont they put signs stating to be aware of your belongings due to windy conditions. We had no way of paying the bill, so the general manager named STEVE told us to leave our license and phone number with them and pay it back. I didnt find an issue with paying the bill, but I didnt like how he was not showing hospitality for our trouble of having to go out of our way to come back and pay the bill another day. It was a complete hassle. General Manager STEVE blatantly lied to my face saying that he could not compensate a portion of the meal, saying that the machine doesnt allow him to do that. Showing no gesture. STEVE obviously did not care for our business. I dont plan on returning to this establishment. The food and drinks were good. If you do plan on going to eat there, make sure your credit card or cash doesnt get blown away and fall between the wood flooring.

I came here with 3 friends one night last winter. The bar was alright and they had Ten Penny Ale on tap, which was an unexpected find. Not much in the way of liquor selection besides the usual big name brands. Drinks were expensive, but it was expected given the location. I was able to wander around a bit outside the bar area even though the rest of the restaurant seemed closed. Waiters and waitresses would regularly pass through and ask if we needed anything even though we were the only group out there. At one point our group was seated at the bar for a while when the bartender came over and asked us to surrender our seats to a couple who had just arrived. They apparently had "reserved" the seats earlier. My guess is the couple who arrived are big spenders or big names in the community and our group of early 20-somethings looked like the easiest ones to kick out of their seats. Other people seated at the bar offered their seats to us after seeing what happened, which was nice. The actions of the staff however left a bad taste in my mouth and I dont intend to return. The only reason Ill give them two stars is for the Ten Penny Ale and half-decent draft selection.

I have been here a few times, every time it seems by the end of the night I see the bouncers drag, throw, threathen, and pretty much assault a customer for no reason. Last time I was there a girl was thrown to the floor by a bouncer while she waiting to pay her bill. I heard her tell the bouncer that she was just waiting to pay her bill, the bouncer then said I dont give a **** ill pay your bill. Then he threw her to the ground. When I went outside the girl was standing there with the cops, here hand and arm was bleeding and bruised. While this was happening the manager or owner (I am not sure which) stood proudly behind his absuive bouncers. I dont know aout you but I dont appreciate seeing women be treated like that by any man. The bouncers were also yelling her boyfriends face that they would knock him the **** out when he told them he was calling the police. Never again will you see a dollar from my pocket go to Rooftop 120 becuase I will not pay for people to be abused. I talked to few people that night who said the same.

This place is great in concept but a complete failure in execution. First off, they have a great location on the "roof top" of a nice area of Glastonbury adjacent to some cool restaurants. But, they dont understand how to use the space. A decent sized bar is way over crowded and only being served by two people, making grabbing a beer a 15min venture at minimum. What could be a nice chill outdoor location is given the "night club" treatment where they charge you to sit at a table. Drinks are way over priced (pretty sure I was over charged as well) and they charge cover even though they dont give you anything for it. This is the first bar Ive ever been to that I refused to tip because it was such a chore to get a refill. Its amazing this place is still in business but I imagine the expensive pretentiousness might actually appeal to people in Glastonbury. I personally will avoid this place and promote others to do the same.

Always a good time. I go to rooftop for dinner, a drink or two to relax, or a group party scene for someones birthday or just a night out . Its a great place and the crowd is always is a good mood. People that go to rooftop look to socialize and make new friends. Dont go if youre a jerk or in a bad mood. Tyler the bar manager remembers everyone and will make you something you probably havent had before and will become your new drink. Evan the manager/owner is always out on the floor checking on the customers needs and is very personable always making sure you have what you want. I met my girlfriend here 2 years ago and we have our specifics seats on the left of the bar where we met so just be aware in case you sit our seats I may have to ask you to move! Just kidding. (Sort of).

I will never in Life go back to this bar Again, I ordered a Blue Hawiaan & a Hennessy and coke for my friend, the bill came up to $39.with $2.48 Tax which came up to $41.48. Now Ive been to the most upper Class bars/clubs/Lounge between NYC to Dubai and I have never payed that much for 2 drinks. I wish I could post the receipt so you all could see it for yourselves, but 118 Tyler D was the bartender. This was my first time at Rooftop 120,I went to check the place out because I was looking for a venue to hold a company meeting, and they pretty much Screwd up and business coming from me. People check your bank statements because theyre pretty much Screwing people with no Greases. NEVER AGAIN!!

Beautiful atmosphere! perfect balance of contemporary, trendy feel and comfort. Has both indoor and outdoor seating... outdoors is nice even in the fall as there are several large heaters outside. Possibly the best looking place in central CT... good music, very friendly staff... nice drinks and good looking menu... however the quality of the dishes on the menu is just average... expect much better quality of food for this type of place and especially for the price... but even with the average dishes, will definitely be back to enjoy the overall atmosphere of the place!
