If you are considering having an event at this restaurant, my advice is to run fast and run far away from Lucky Lous. The owner, Lucas, is the most arrogant person that my wife and I have ever met. We should have seen the red flags from the beginning such as not wanting to provide a written contract and making a point to tell us that he will only accept cash or checks written personally to him. We think that he does not provide a contract and only wants cash or personal checks is so that there is no record of having an event at the restaurant, and so that the customer has no recourse if they do not get what is "promised" by Lucas. My wife and I met with Lucas on a two occasions to try to get a menu established, only to to be greeted with his arrogant attitude "I dont have time for you. You just tell me what you want". A week before our event, we still did not have a menu established so my wife detailed a menu for him, and provided him with a check (again made out personally to him and not the restaurant) with a per person charge that we briefly discussed with him (however, we were never provided a contract so we really did not know what the cost was - or what we were even getting!). We were greeted with a phone message from Lucas at 7:00 am the Sunday prior to our event stating that he does not want to do our event and that we are treating him with disrespect by providing him with a menu. That left us scrambling to find another venue for my sons bar mitzvah which was less than one week away. We were fortunate to find a reputable restaurant who treated US with respect, provided us with a detailed contract, and did not request cash or checks made out personally to the owner. It was actually a relief to have the event canceled at Lucky Lous as all he did was create more stress for us. Who knows what would have happened the day of the event if we did have it at this restaurant . . . perhaps our guests would have been greeted with his signature line "I dont have time for you".

Terrible experience. We may not be back. When my wife and I moved to Wethersfield one year ago, the first place we visited was Lucky Lous. The staff was friendly. The food and drinks...delicious. We go regularly during warm months. My wife also takes visiting VIPs from her corporate office for lunches. However, our first family summer visit Tuesday 6/20/17 5pm, did not go well. When we asked for "Happy Hour/Bar Bites Menu", we sensed annoyance from those we asked. In fact, we had to ask a few times from different people before we received one. It seemed that no one wanted us to order from that menu. We made it clear that we were ordering food and drinks based on this menu. So I ordered beers recommended by our waiter. When the bill came, my two beers added up to almost $20. I asked wasnt all drafts on special, liked it said on the menu? He said the one he recommended was not included. I said you should have told me, his response, "you didnt ask." What?! And to make it even worse, he claimed he did not want me to think he was questioning whether or not I could afford it. WOW! The one thing I learned in sales is too give the customer ALL the information, so they can make an informed decision. All I can say is that my wife already took Lucky Lous off her companys prefered lunch list.

Surprise party gone bust. Host on 7/8/2017 was awful. Simple surprise party of a small group of friends, we showed up early and were told no name existed, then were told friends were at bar, then were told "oh, yes name is here", and finally, dude simply walked away haha. Birthday guy arrived and surprise toast. Host (owner maybe?), comes back, no explanation, says he has no time for surprises (wasnt busy), walks us upstairs and says "your table is up here", no directions nothing, so we simply sat where we thought we were supposed too. Food seriously overpriced for quality. Not returning and would suggest others explore better options.

Awesome place for outdoor summer dining, right on old Main Street so you have a decent view and not much traffic noise to deal with. The lobster mac is awesome comfort food. They have a good craft beer and cocktail selection as well, their drinks are usually very good, the only thing Ive had bad was a Moscow mule one night, other than that, Ive never been disappointed in their food, drinks or especially the service, always friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the many gems located in old Wethersfield

This majestic house has an impressive interior and equally impressive beer yard (although at this time of year its feeling out). What looks to be original floorboards throughout make you feel in an old homestead, but they have a few TVs around for the sports fans. Excellent service from greeting to departure. Had the burger which was cooked perfect with delicious parmesan fries. Meat was a little too lean for my liking which gave it a dry look/taste. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Gran ejemplo de de "obtienes lo que pagas". Los precios son un poco arriba de la media, pero disfrutas de una excelente atención, grato ambiente, platos abundantes y deliciosos. El menú es muy variado y vale la pena volver para explorarlo.

We have been customers since Lucky Lous opened. The food is always spot on. Creative specials and a great presentation. While the outdoor patio and the entertainment they have there is always fun we love the bar. No matter which server we have we always receive excellent service. They have a good selection of wines reasonably priced. It seems the owner is always on premise and I believe this makes a big difference.

Visted Lucky Lous for lunch on the patio. Had the veggie burger. Patio was lovely, the parmesan fries were good, but the vegetables were still too crunchy and lacked any flavor or seasoning whatsoever. Bland and tasteless very disappointed. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful but as I was waiting for my partner they came and changed my lunch menu to dinner which was tacky.

A fabulous cocktail and dining experience every time! Lucas has created the perfect dining atmosphere.... from the octopus salad, to the juicy burgers and steaks, mouth watering specials, and happy hour pricing, Lucky Lous never fails to deliver! A festive neighborhood vibe, outdoor entertainment. Its what this town has needed for years. Cant go wrong here.

I went for an event. The food, a buffet, was pretty good. The room was a bit loud, but I really like the atmosphere. The old building is fantastic and it looked like it had some nice patio seating. I have no idea if its a good value. I would say at most you would want like 20-30 people at a function, at least in the room we were in.

The staff and service was outstanding. The owner fits in with the crowd. Pineapple chicken wings were banging lovely. The entertainment was incredible! Lucky Lou s is depot of happy conversationalist with genuine stories . I wonder .,is that band available for weddings, all I need is the bride! . I give it 5 shamrocks out of 5
