A large group of us were in town for training and stopped for dinner on a Monday because we had been here several times before and had a very positive experiences. We made reservations that night for 15 for Wednesday night and were assured by the manager on duty (tall gray haired male) who assured us that he would have adequate staff to handle our group. We even called at 5:30 on Wednesday to confirm the reservation and acknowledge we would be there with 15 people. We showed up promptly at 7:00 and were escorted to the outside patio. Nothing was set up and a young man was assigned to the entire outside patio. The heater was on (it was 91F since it was end of June) and when we requested it be turned off, it never happened. When I asked the server where all the other servers were, he said no one wants to work the patio because it was too hot out and he was the only server assigned to the patio. He did a great job trying to keep up but obviously the patio was under staffed. Drinks were slow and the food came out at different times. Some of our group were finished before the other food came out. Members of our group were ready to leave and were very frustrated. I went and spoke to the manager on duty and she was very nice but obviously wasnt prepared nor notified our group was coming. I blame the "manager" on duty Monday night who obviously didnt plan for our reservation. Too bad that 15 firefighters now how have a bad taste for your establishment that I raved about to everyone we send out here for training.

While living in Pueblo this became our go-to place. The beer is amazingly good and we arent even beer drinkers, however we found ourselves filling a growler at least twice a week with their "Golden" brew. The scotch eggs are quite the delicacy as well, I like the Aioli beer mustard they are served with. Once time we ordered them around 11:30 PM and they came badly burned, I told the waitress who agreed they were way too dark. She went back and within a couple minutes had a fresh plate of them, however these new ones were a bit undercooked and still cold in the middle. There was one occasion where we were at a booth and a booth with some employees on break behind us was quite loud and wild, with every other word being a loud scream of the f-word. I am no prude, but after an hour of constant F*#@ F*#@ it will get on anyones nerves. Other than that we have been there well over a dozen times and the food is amazing! Not the least expensive place around but you do get what you pay for. I have been to Ireland for a few weeks at a time and this place really reminds me of a spot in Dublin. Similar food even, true Irish style in my experience. Oh and the bread pudding is AMAZING, if you like bread pudding at all you owe it to yourself to check theirs out. Have a wonderful day :).

We stopped in here to eat after getting gas just down the road. We were hungry from our trip to the Sand Dunes and eager to try a local brewery/pub. The people were very pleasant and the service was quick enough. However, there was a bit of an odd odor (perhaps dirty mop bucket? I worked in restaurants for 15+ yrs and it had that terribly familiar smell...) to the place as you walked in, which I was willing to dismiss given the number of people in the establishment. The food was simply not good. The party of three got a steak salad (steak way past the Med-Rare the menu states and lots of slimy salad pieces); burger with fries (burger very overcooked but yummy fries!); and a buffalo chicken sandwich (hands down the best item had at the table with no real complaints, it was okay) - none of which really felt like they should have cost the amount they did, given the quality presented in the final product. Again, super nice service - thanks for that! But not very good food. I will never go there again to eat and I am very unlikely to go back for any other reason.

Horrible. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish, chips and coleslaw were bland at best. The tartar sauce was disgusting. Not only was there too much cream of tartar, and sweet relish?, the color was off putting. The Jameson BBQ wings were room temp and bland. The celery, ranch and carrots with that, were warm and the plate was broken when served. My wife ordered the beef boxty. It was a texture nightmare. The sauce was way overpowering. The squash was rubbery and bland. Service was horrible too. The waitress stated that a "big top" just dropped their order before we ordered and thats why it took 45 minuted to get our food, even the appetizers. Yet there were several empty tables. It took 10 minutes to get my first beer. Yes, I had to wait for beer in a brewery while my wife sipped water. I guess the only positive was the manager saw us taking pictures of our horrible experience and comped our tasting of their poor attempt at Irish cuisine. I totally wish I could post pictures! Please save your money. Dont go here.

Waited 45 minutes for order once placed. Waiter never even checked in on us to refill water, anything. Never apologized or attempted to explain situation. Had to ask if they forgot about us and when the food finally came, it was apparent that it was prepared and sat, unattended on a counter somewhere. Everything was cold, sandwiches were soggy on the bottom from having sat so long. Still, no apology, nothing. Simply shrugged it off and made an off-color remark--"we are terrible here"...OK, we agree. Luckily, one in our party had no problem taking issue with this and asked management how they would handle this. They reduced the total bill some but still offered no "sorry", no apology whatsoever. Will not go back and will not recommend. Evidently has been better judging by other reviews, but, in my opinion, you are taking a chance on getting service similar to ours, which kinda wrecks an evening. So, roll the dice, if you wish.

BEST IN STEEL CITY. I dont know whas sup with some of the negative reviews on this site other than they are pimping for the competition, ALL of which are jealous of Shamrocks growth& success. I moved here 8 years ago and can attest to the quality and value of their food. It is the only brewpub in town so , if you are a beer snob like myself....its where you go. I have watched this business grow since my first beer in 2006. There is a reason for the growth. ITs GOOD! Chef Gordo runs a great operation and the bartenders and wait staff are the best in this town.To all you negative reviewers... I appreciate your staying away. There is plenty of Bud Light and lousy food and service to be had in this town. Have at it, and leave the"ROCK" to people with taste.

My wife and I came from California to go to the State Fair. Was hoping for a great atmosphere, beer and food after reading some good reviews. We were somewhat disappointed, beer was good, atmosphere was ok, the food wasnt that great. The fish tacos were average at best, the bread pudding was OK but not star-studded. We have had better. The big disappointment came when letting the waitress know there was a cockroach crawling up the wall in our booth while we ate. Then after she told the owner, it appeared he really didnt give a crap. Had it been my establishment, I would have made contact with the patron and comped their meal. This dude never even acknowledged us. We wont be back. And no, we werent looking for a free meal.
