Easily one of the worst meals Ive had at a restaurant in months. Party of 4, 3 adults and 1 child. Just getting to the entrance was a pain in the ass, so I was hoping the food would deliver but I was mistaken. From the outside I was smelling flame broiled burgers but I was soon to find out just how "flame broiled" they were.... also known as charcoal. All the adults ordered burgers. Two med well and one med. One med well was about 2 second from becoming an actual charcoal. The other was burned on one side and raw on the inside. The medium had NO pink in it, what so ever. The salad that comes with it was wilted to death... inedible. The buns were dry and crumbling. The fries, which we had to pay extra for, were lukewarm at best , limp and flavorless.... no salt to be detected. The soda was beyond flat. The tea is gold peak... how can a place that serves $13.00 burgers, try to be upscale but not brew their own tea? They have a damn coffee bar but no fresh tea!? Thats just nuts. The kids menu is not well versed. .. pbj, hamburger, cheese/chicken tortilla roll up, and grilled cheese. My niece, who is 3, got the chicken cheese roll up and refused to eat it. She loves fries and would not eat them. Homemade ketchup might be ok for some adults but for kids, I dont think they are used to it and not accepting of it. The whole meal was terrible. We waited an hour around 3pm for our food, just to be severely disappointed. The manager came over and didnt seem to care what we said or showed her on our plates. She just said she was sorry and took off the two burgers and awful fries. She seemed like she didnt care but was happy to just take it off or bill. Dont you want to know what is wrong when an entire table is unhappy with everything? It just wasnt the food. The service was also very slow! We had to ask the bar staff for soda refill because our waitress was nowhere to be seen. It was a terrible experience. I wouldnt try it again or recommend it. I even took pictures of my meal to show others what they can expect. Not worth the time or the hassle. From what I tried of the burger, it lacked depth of flavor. Not impressed at all!

Went if for a late afternoon lunch today to check out the rather new restaurant. The view is lovely. The patio is not only dog friendly, but its got the right mix of sun and shade for those lazy summer days. The outside is well furnished and has a lot of draw. The inside however seems a but less so. You can see the skeleton of the restaurant and the brewing area from the dining room. It seems rather bare and could use some more decoration and design. The place has a nice modern feel to it and they even utilized some items from the old Police Department that were left over. Theres dine in, a bar, and a walk up bakery. Im not much into stouts, ales, and beers, but the food was fantastic. While being seated the waiter informed us that nearly everything was made on site. From the buns to the meat, the ale to the stouts, all was fresh made. We enjoyed some pueblo green chili cheese fries and they were amazing. The fries were hot, fresh, and salted just right. The chili was perfectly warm and meshed well with the cheese. For our main course we had a Brues Alehouse Burger and a Pulled Pork sandwich. The meat was cooked well and the portions were about what you would expect. Large but not too big. The meals were piled high with meat and fixing and I could barely fit the monster into my mouth. It was absolutely savory and my dining partner had nothing negative to say about their meal. My only quibble was that there were far too many caramelized onions on my burger but hey thats a preference thing. The staff was well trained and friendly. They really took care of the customers. The drinks were flowing and the mood was great. They were happy to help with recommendations, facts about the restaurant, and just making sure our dining experience was a good one. Really I would give them a 4.5 just because the inside needs more work. I opted for the 5 stars because they are a new business and getting that perfect atmosphere inside will take time and money. I understand that and encourage anyone looking to try something new or grab a bite to eat while at the river walk to try this great business.

Service is incredibly slow. Have given them a "second chance" more than twice. When we mention how slow it is, or why is it so slow just to get a beer, the response is always "the bar is so busy" or "we are just so busy". It is always obvious that the wait staff is just slacking and have little care. I have sat at the bar when the response was about how busy it was, the problem with that is the bar had 4 seats taken and the bar and waitstaff were talking and bullshitting about their lives in front of customers with very little regard to their customers. The third time we went with a few friends at 8pm, sat on the patio. The waiter did not show for more than 30 minutes. Someone did bring water but walked off too fast to get a drink order. We decided to be patient and wait for drinks. Once the waiter came and took drink orders, there was another 30 minute wait with the same excuse of the bar being busy. I walked into the bar and there was one person sitting there and the bartender looking at his phone. It was obviously not busy. My thoughts about this place are shared by many which express the same comments. One more point here, If you are going to have a beer garden, have restrooms nearby. Why was the decision made to have the only bathroom on the ground floor and what feels like miles when you need to go. There should really be restrooms on the second floor as well. Seriously, this is not rocket science, its basic customer experience. If you want to keep people then make it easy for them to stay. Making restrooms a pain to get to will not keep people longer. Each bathroom trip here reminds everyone they want to go somewhere else that has a much more comfortable experience. Id love to go here to eat but I cannot recommend it. Ill change my review if management decides to fix wait times and employee attitudes towards a customer oriented business.

Looked forward to eating at Brues Alehouse on the River walk in Pueblo Colorado. Online, the Ale selection and rotating guest list of ales looked tasty and the rehabbed Art Deco Police department building inviting. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing right from the start. The front entrance of the restaurant is on the river walk so park on the street or across the street and walk all the way around to the back to get inside. Why isnt there a front or side entrance? Once inside, A metal police department sign and a framed police patches picture are the only nod of this buildings colorful history. Then I looked at the beer menu. I was extremely disappointed when more than half the beers I wanted to try (from reading the online menu) were not on the menu. And where is the chili beer, this is Pueblo! The food menu was disappointing as well. Thought there would be more sandwiches or other lighter fare but only had a few things to choose from. I had the burger and while the flavor was good there was too much mayo or it was to watery because my bun fell apart and I could barely finish my burger. The fries were over cooked and would have tasted better if they had been dusted with sea salt. The service was horrible. Staff was unfriendly and we had to ask the person that brought our food out for a refill on our drinks because are waiter was going to "be right back". Although she said nothing she did seem annoyed. When our waiter did return it was at the end of our meal. All we wanted at the point was our check! It was also confusing as to what the place was. Was it a brewery and restaurant, a bar, a bakery or a coffee house? Id rather walk over a few blocks for a tasty Bingo Burger always fresh and locally sourced. Or to the 5th and Main Espresso Bar for some Intelligentsia.
