Jade Garden earned an “F” on Restaurant Report Card with 12 critical violations in its May 2015 and April 2014 surprise inspections. In May, Tri County Health inspectors found “Rodent droppings were present on the cardboard boxes…in the dry storeroom.” The inspector also noted “Chicken was thawing at room temperature while sitting on the floor outside of…freezer.” Additional violations include: fruit flies in the alcohol, boxes of food and bags of cabbage were stored on the floor and there was no soap in the men’s restroom. A woman who identified herself as the owner said the restaurant is always clean. Jade Garden at 5120 East Arapahoe Road passed a follow up inspection in May..

Very disappointing. Came in for their lunch time special. A couple of positive things about this place: location and the inside decor. However during our visit this made the final decision of never coming a long to this place. Wonton soup tasted like it was made a few weeks ago. The only thing that tasted ok was the rice (which is kinda hard to mess up). The cheese wonton was very hard to break apart and smelled odd. I didnt even bother to trying it after smelling it. Dirty silverware and plates. Seemed like the only thing that the staff was worried about was how full your glass of water was. I didnt get a refill on my beverage until after we paid.

I have gone to Jade Garden since the 80s and I was close to the sweet ladies that owned it. Easily rate it 5 stars. Since its been under new ownership, it has gone downhill. You are forced to spend a certain minimum to be served so if you go with 2 friends and expect to share one plate, its not allowed. Also, they serve you smaller drinks (even the water comes in a small glass now) but charge the same prices before ownership changed. They do have the best egg rolls but its not worth it anymore.

Ive been going to Jade Garden for over 20 years and never had a bad experience. Their hot sour soup beats any Ive found anywhere, and the rest of the food is always fresh and well prepared. Plus, its one of the least expensive places in the area. Service varies a bit but is never poor. I notice that most of the reviews are 4 or 5 stars, with a few at 1 star and stories so terrible they strain the imagination. Makes me wonder if some of those are posted by the local competition.

It was pouring rain and Jade Garden is in our neighborhood. I went in to order a dinner for me and my 7 year old just wanted wonton soup. We sat there for 10 minutes and the waitress came out and said unless my son ordered $9 in food they couldnt serve either one of us! They have a $9 per person or they ask you to leave! Cheap and Rude!

2014 Great tasting food and good service! Would recommend to anyone. Update: 1/8/2016 Went here today and the service was good and food still tastes great. They have the best egg drop soup I have had at any Chinese restaurant and they have really good crab cheese wontons and egg rolls. Service was quick and checked up on us often.

I always seem to get this guy who i swear hates everything or maybe its just anyone who isnt Chinese! Then, you pay extra for the decor inside and worse tasting food? I dont know about you but i like my food to taste good! more expensive and the food sucks in comparison to all the other nearby restaurants.

Awesome restaurant! Agree with other reviewers, their egg rolls are the best around! Totally recommend this place, the service was great and the decor was surprisingly cool. The booths have red colored lighting which gives them a very romantic feel, and the step-up gazebo-style seating area is really nice.

I see there are mixed reviews but my experience was great. The service was excellent and food was as well. If youre looking for under $9/person, Id recommend going to fast food. $11-15/person for night dining is not expensive folks!

Last time Ive been dining at Jade Garden for over 20 years. Each time Im a little more disappointed. Food is ok but there is better in the area and the service is poor, even on a Friday evening. Thats it for me!

Asked waiter for dish with vegetables, he suggested vegetable lo mein. Plate arrived with almost no vegetables at all. Was told that was extra. WTF! Wont be back.
