I went for lunch and had the seaside potato skins and the seafood pasta. The potato skins had four to the order, hollowed out and filled with a nice mixture of seafood featuring imitation crab, lobster and baby shrimp. It also comes with a side of sour cream. It all tasted good but I was surprised at the imitation crab but it all tasted very good together and I did not mind the taste at all because it was delicious. I was however disappointed in the seafood pasta. It is a good portion of pasta in the sauce with clams, shrimp, and scallops with a slice of their garlic cheese bread. The clams felt undercooked to me and I found it an unpleasant texture but the real shame was the sauce which was too bland. It was unappetizing and I tried to enjoy the side of the bread which was yummy. The setting is fun because of the fresh seafood counter so it seems a little more casual and fun than a regular seafood restaurant. All in all I would not recommend this place.

Probably one of the worst meals I have had in years. Lobster Special night...but they ran out of lobsters by 6:30..? The "substitute" was some kind of tasteless previously frozen stuffed affair that was an embarrassment to all Real Lobsters everywhere. My scampi was 5 Shrimp swimming in a plate of grease. The coup de gras was the "Drawn Grease" that the lobster was served with....folks, even the movie theater tries to get "butter flavored" grease for their popcorn...Cherry Crest is a pit, a busy pit. And therein lies the rub. To say they do not care would be an understatement. I will say the service was prompt and courteous. I wold say, never go here even if you have in the past...something happened...something bad....CCR, get real...get real cooks..get real butter....get enough freaking Lobsters so you do not have to pawn off that lobster shaped muck....

Probably the most bland seafood meal ever. Good service and endearing old environment (1970s). The did have a gluten-free menu. Seafood was fresh but literally just boiled lobster. No seasoning, no grilled option. Just boiled in water. Potatoes and steamed veggies were the same just boiled/steamed in plain water. I guess if you are sodium restricted it might be a good option. Very boring iceberg salad. Same basic review for the halibut and walleye although they had a bit more seasoning with a parmesean crust. Sides were the same plain unseasoned broccoli and carrots. Not bad just not a meal worth $100 that I easily could have made better at home. As I said, the food was fresh, but very bland and boring! We tried, but wont be back.

Absolutely average. Besides salt the food was void of flavor. We had the seaside skins. The potatoes were cooked well but the seafood topping was not very flavorful. We also had the shrimp scampi which was swimming in an oily sauce that wasnt very flavorful. The Thai shrimp sounded fantastic on the menu, but again there was an enormous amount of oily sauce that wasnt very spicy and didnt taste all that good. I didnt finish the dish. Our server was slow and inattentive. There were two other servers who were very interested in their tables. Just bad luck for us I guess. The server never asked how the food was despite there being two half eaten entrees on the table. We wont be back

This place is sad. We were definitely among the youngest diners while there, and were middle aged. This place caters to the "soft-food" under-seasoned crowd who is looking to spend as little as possible on seafood. The prices are actually fairly high for the generic food that comes out of the kitchen. The food isnt bad per se, but its not worth going back for. Our server was nice and helpful, but the entire experience just reeked of a place that reached its prime in 1979 (also likely the last time it was redecorated) and has been coasting ever since. Youd be better off grabbing some fish from the supermarket and cooking it yourself, or just going somewhere else.

After driving past this place numerous times, I was finally looking forward to trying it out. Although I dont have too many complaints, I was left mildly disappointed. The food was rather bland and boring. Ive created much more flavorful dishes at home, using the same fish. The quality of the seafood itself is great, but the execution of the dishes and the general service leaves you wondering why you settled for their 1980s, rural-seafood restaurant atmosphere. All-in-all, Id certainly visit one of the other seafood restaurants in town, even a chain, before stopping here again.

I rated "Disliked" because of dinner for "5280-Week" last night. After reading most other reviews it seemed likely the owner/manager either doesnt have a clear vision or care enough to get over his/her ego and find a better way to serve food to the public. I disregarded the advice thinking the limited menu offering for 5280 would focus their strengths. I expected lobster tail or Maine lobster to be cooked beautifully, as it should be simple for a seafood restaurant. It was not. They served some oily butter replacement. They didnt serve real butter - are you kidding me!?!

The smell of raw seafood and old drain pipes turned me away immediately. I love seafood but the stench when walking in the front door smells like some Asian food stores - even stronger. It was just overpowering and hard to adjust to. Sorry could not stay to even try any of the Chef specialties. Maybe I will try it sometime in the summer since there is a patio that might get some fresh air.

The people were nice and the atmosphere was like being out on the Cape. They were out of lobster bisque (which was why I went there) and the lobster roll was outrageously expensive with too much celery, onion, and bread overpowering the flavor of the lobster meat. The lobster quesadilla was tasty and had plenty of meat, but could have used a sauce vs salsa. Overall id go back though.

It was alright. The food was plain and not as good as I hoped for. I ordered seafood enchiladas they where supposed to be a special there. They where tasteless and boring. I probably wont return there.

The best lobster roll Ive ever eaten! The restaurant is nothing fancy, but thats not whys youre there. The generous serving of lobster was fresh and the roll was perfect. Highly recommended!

I come here regularly as the seafood is incredible. They receive a fresh shipment flown in everyday. Seafood is both served here and sold to be prepared at home.
