I walked into this restaurant by mistake on 9/27 and had the most wonderful dinner. I had been in G.J. visiting a sick friend and was wanting to try a pizza place I had driven by earlier and walked through Le Rouges door instead. The clam chowder was wonderful, the New York may be the best steak Ive ever had. I mean better then Ruths Chris or Mortons! I was going to skip desert but hey I might not get back here for a while so I tried the white chocolate raspberry creme brulee and it did not disappoint. The young lady that served me was very attentive but cold. Maybe thats part of the french atmosphere persona. The gentleman that seated me and asked how everything was made up for the chill from my waitress. I plan to return to G.J. soon and have made Le Rouge a must do.

So, this is a French restaurant. I expected pretentious and expensive. What I got was much worse than that. I ordered the Scallops Ratatouille. My husband ordered the Rack of Lamb (16 oz.) - medium well (hed never had lamb before), and our son ordered the Seafood Pasta dish. We werent asked if wed like to order drinks. We werent asked if we wanted appetizers or salads. What I got was 3 scallops in some sort of Chunky Ragu spaghetti sauce - literally tasted as acidic and disgusting as jarred Ragu. This was $28. My husbands lamb came out Medium Rare and so disgustingly tough it was like eating $2/lb meat. And, yes, I tried a bite. Awful! That was $43. Our sons pasta dish was very good. I wouldnt eat here again.

We ordered the escargother as an appetizer, I didnt know what to expect, but "Oh my gosh," it was so good! For Entrees we ordered Sea Bass and Medium Rare Roasted Duck and both entrees were so delicious and we savored each bite! For dessert we decided on the Blackberry Lavender Creme Brulee, oh my gosh, you must order this dessert dont contemplate it, just do it! Le Rouge is an amazing restaurant, if you have extra cash you must visit this place!

The alcohol selection and drinks are outstanding! And they must have gotten a new chef as this is the best place Ive eaten a medium rare steak since the Bistro and 626 have gone down hill. Service is very nice, sweet little French girls FROM FRANCE. Artwork and ambience of the restaurant is relaxing while being modern and slightly classic. This has got to be one of my most favorite locations in town.

This place is absolutely wonderful. Me and my boyfriend loved it, not only was the service great, but the food and beverage was astounding. Well worth it if youre wanting a beautiful dining experience with great food. Im bringing my parents there this evening! Guaranteed to please. Thank you!!!

Terrible service (ignored by staff, forgotten drinks, no side plates or steak knife, very slow) and mediocre food. The beef bourguinon was more like an Irish soup with a watery broth than a stew, and it lacked the signature mushrooms and pearl onions. Definitely a disappointment.

Few restaurants in GJ can compete! While the food never dissapoints, the price is more than a value. The atmosphere and service arent at the level of the best restaurants in town, but price, food, and style are unique and outstanding!

I come here for special romantic occasions. It never fails. Exotic Cocktails, Traditional French appetizers and fantastic Entrees served by a fun staff. Many will speak French with you too.

Their Happy Hour from 4-6 is the best in town! They now have a crepe menu which includes savory or sweet crepes. The best idea on town! They are delicious, healthy and reasonable priced.

Nice atmosphere. Great location and decent service. However, the food was truly just an over priced meal that was nothing better than what I could have cooked at home. I wasnt impressed.

Great experience here! The food was absolutely amazing, the service was sparse, which is typical to a French restaurant.. But the server was very knowledgeable and friendly enough.

Not bad, slow service even tho there was hardly anyone there. My veggie pasta was good but my honey has a yucky tummy from the duck. Good drinks, nice staff.

Lovely romantic atmosphere with great food and a full cocktail menu and local wines. Try to be there when the piano player is on tap... very nice!
