We had dinner here on a fairly cold evening. We had reservations for party of 6. When we entered the establishment, it was almost empty. I was surprised that we were seated at the very first table in front of the door and directly in front of the bar. Every time the door opened we were treated to a blast of cold air. I flagged down the hostess and asked if we could be moved to a rear table. I was told that all tables for 6 or more were reserved. Whether reserved or not, they were empty at that point. The music that was playing was loud and inappropriate for a "French Bistro" atmosphere. We asked that it be lowered. After a huddle by a couple of employees the music was finally turned down.. The dinner menu was quite limited. One member of my group and I ordered the hanger steak. We were told that it should not be ordered any more done then medium rare since this cut gets tough when more well done then that. Our steaks came out with the center just about raw. When we brought this to the attention of our waitperson, she repeated the warning. The hangar steak was the only steak on the menu. Why use a cut of meat that has such potential for problems? Another in our party ordered salmon. She was equally disappointed in the lack of seasoning and taste. My wife asked if she could substitute the sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries that came with her dish. Our server, annoyed, said there would be an additional charge. We could not believe it. I wont go into the sea food dish another in my party ordered with red sauce that came out with white sauce. He accepted it that way. What really bothered me was the lack of concern the management had when we voiced our disappointment. I will almost always give a restaurant a second chance. We all have a bad day. In this case, however, poor attitude far out trumps an unenjoyable dish (or three). DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE OVERPRICED MENU

I give this place 6 months from now before it closes. We went in at 7pm on a Friday night and you could hear crickets chirping in the place (25% of capacity and that does not include the outdoors seating). The menu is okay, except for Ive seen all of these dishes before at trendier and better Scottsdale restaurants. For example, the Vogue Burger is a carbon copy of the superior "Delux Burger." Gorgonzola/Blue Cheese, apple-wood bacon, arugula, etc. The food was fine, but not impressive or stellar. We had some toasted baguette with fig and Gorgonzola which was okay. I had the Vogue Burger expecting around the quality of the delux, but was disappointed. My wife had the salmon, which looked to be overdone and definitely not very flavorful. Also, the orzo was under-cooked. Mind you, I have personally seen 80% of the dishes on the menu at other places so none of this is original. The waitress was very young and not at all seasoned. She let our drinks expire for 10 minutes or more and only checked on us once. Overall, just not an impressive place. Id rather drive the 40 minutes to somewhere with the same menu, but better prepared with solid service.

Been here several times in the last few years. Pretty much hit or miss, depends on day and time. I bought a Groupon once, and planned to use it. I had my hubby leave work early to meet me for a late lunch. We show up, and there was a sign on the door for using Groupons. Apparently, they were not accepting them for certain days and times! It had just came out on the app, and I had just bought it with NO WARNING until I arrived. What an inconvenience! The people inside didnt even acknowledge us to answer any questions. They just glared at us from inside! Anyway, the food is delish! Ive had the steak, burger, and a few other entrees. Its pretty much the only place in Surprise for fine dining, therefore, it is somewhat overrated, and pricey. The service is hit or miss, and it can be very slow at times. The tall gentleman that has been there for a while is very pleasant, and courteous. Of course, I would return again. Try the burgers! Although, they do not come with fries, they are a la carte; so dont expect them to come with it.

Feb. 26 is our anniversary. Our choice was Vogue Bistro. The service was wonderful. Our disappointment was the chef. The chef had the nerve to serve me a Filet Mignon in 2 pieces. You read that right. The filet was in 2 separate pieces. Who serves a filet in 2 pieces? I asked the server, "What is this? A filet in 2 pieces?" He said, "It must have been an end piece." End Piece? I am paying $26.00 for a well done filet cut in half. I ordered it medium. I wanted medium rare but the server said it will be red... I opted for medium. I attend the French Classic Cooking School in Scottsdale at McDowell Mountain Ranch. I am sure when I tell my instructor...Pascal...he will be disappointed. He has eaten all over the valley. Our Bruschetta was delicious...Our salad was delicious... my husband enjoyed his eggplant parmesean.....and I hated that I had to return my filet...wait and watch my husband eat his entree... and hear no apology from the kitchen.... In a classy restaurant there in NO room for error.

as a surprise resident, we had high hopes for this little place. my mom was visiting from out of state so we thought this was an ideal time to splurge. we went for a monday night special, crawfish etouffee. my husband and mother ordered the special, i went with the highly recommended meatloaf and our kids got the macaroni and cheese and sliders. the food took a very long time, unreasonably long. we ended up asking for bread. then we realized the kids food was done and waiting. after 10 minutes we finally asked if the two kids dishes were for our table and they were. the main courses came. the etouffee was bland, the meatloaf was overly sweet (very strange) and the potatoes gratin were undercooked, to the point of crunchy (as in raw). our server was less than helpful, bordering on egotistical. for a $175 meal, this was about a 2 out of 10.

So I bought a Groupon for this and we decided to try it! We walked in a the host was incredibly rude, she was like, " Do you have reservations?" And I responded know sorry it didnt say to on your website or on the Groupon . She well its highly recommended so let me see if I can fit you in (the in door and out door are both almost completely empty. So we finally get seated, I ordered a martini peach and it was 10$ it tasted like rubbing alcohol. The "fresh bread" you have to request... you can buy at Frys in the frozen section. My kids ordered sliders and mac and cheese .... the slider is a SLIDER . Its so small and is pathetic. Anyways to sum it up I will never be returning and if youre an average income household they will sit you in the back and disregard you . I do not recommend coming here ....Definitely dont bring kids .
