Items Ordered: (They do use GMO & Food Soda) 1: Paneer Pakoda (0/5) 2: Samosa Chaat (2/5) 3: Navratn Korma (0/5) 4: Kashmiri Kofta (3.5/5) 5: Gralic Naan / Kulcha (2/5) 6: Mango Lassi (5/5) After a long day playing cricket definitely the body needs to fuel up so the nearest Indian restaurant with an impeccable 4 stars was Sansar, located right on the first street Livermore Downtown location gives you that rich affluent fine dining vibe, it all stops there. You enter in and see a typical overly excited setup screaming of a wannabe fine dining. Prices are really jacked up understandable with a downtown location but the overall food quality is crazy low. Paneer pakoda was tasteless and the only taste was that of Food soda which instantly gives a weird ting to your mouth and in their menu they scream about not using any GMO. Samosa Chaat was cold and tasteless except the crispiness was keeping it going. Navratn korma was horrible like really the worst I have ever tasted, completly cold uncooked vegetables in a equally tasteless cream sauce. It really takes a special skillset to mess up a Korma. Kashmiri kofta was just fine, garlic naan and kulcha were tasting as if made by some non-indian chef in a Punjabi restaurant. Still cant believe that they made such bad naans as that considered their core speciality. Thanks heaven for the mango lassi otherwise it would was a real 0 star experience.

Very upset with the hospitality that was shown by ur staff. The moment I started having my lunch buffet, I was handed over the bill/cheque within 2-5 mins. That itself was a shock to me. How can you hand over the bill to a customer if dey have just started eating? What does it tell you? When I opened the bill was the next shock when I saw that they charged $6 for my kid who is just 3yrs old. On asking the billing rules of the restaurant with the staff there, they told me that we generally look at a child and determine how much he/she will eat and decide the bill. Ridiculous isnt it? I mean within 5 mins of a customer entering the restaurant, staff decided about a 3yr old childs appetite!!!! I can understand you giving me a bill once the food is done or you asking the childs age later on. I told the staff I dont mind paying the bill but this cannot be the way you respond. they reverted the bill but after that the staff there kept coming near my seat to see if my kid was having anything or not(micro monitoring our lunch)..Very very disappointing to see such a behavior from a reputed restaurant like yours. Food was very tasty but then the overall environment became so tough that we just could not enjoy. Should be the last time we were here

Went 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon (buffet from 11-3 daily). Fish pakora freshly made. Vegetable curries were better than the non-vegetarian. Most of the dishes were barely lukewarm. The naan was too thick (almost like pita), but the hot chai was excellent. Service was prompt but with a frown. Buffets at Frontier Spice, India Garden, and Curry Cravings in Pleasanton are fresher/better and cheaper than here.

12/04/14(01:30pm) I called for dine in.they didnt tell me they have buffet they didnt mention at all..so I ordered butter chicken, dal makhni, salad, and naan when I got there they had all the stuff ready that I ordered but I asked them if I can change my order to buffet because I would be paying more in order but If I get buffet that would have been cheaper then what I was paying..

Good indian food. Lot of varieties in appetizers and gravy for both vegetarian and non vegetarian people. However main course was limited. Only rice and naan. And price is less than all other Indian buffet. They also fill in the food very quickly.

Never been in India, and indian food (according to my indian friends) does not really exist. That being said, the food they serve is really tasty and I am happy to go there occasionally! The waiting staff is very nice and respectful of the customer.

Easily The best Indian cuisine restaurant in the East bay! The food is very good! I always order the chicken korma (not spicy) and they always make it just right! The nuts and raisins make this dish on point!

Well, Ive been enjoying the lunch buffet there for many years now. It is always perfect. So, if you take this as a recommendation, please save me some fish pakora.

Small buffet. Food is just OK. The telltale sign is that there were no other Indian families there when we went yesterday.

The food tasted awful. It was cold. They were very limited choice of vegetarian stuff. The pakodas tasted of re-fried oil

Their tandoori chicken is one of the best Ive had. The rogan josh is also quite good. Not a fan of the biriyani though.
