We have gonr to Costa Vida before and have had reasonably good service and the food has been good. Tonight the service was abysmal and the food was not very good. My husband and I went in and my husband got his order. I ordered the fish tacos and for some reason it seemed to take forever to make them. Finally when they were done the guy behind the counter asked me what I wanted on the tacos. I had told him I wanted lettuce, tomato, sour cream and the cilantro dressing and black beans. In the meanwhile a big party had come in the restaurant. They started taking their orders before finishing mine. They said they would bring it out, after about 10 minutes I went back to the counter and asked if my order was out. The guy had it sitting there and it had pinto beans and not what I wanted on the tacos. I told this guy and he more or less told me it sucks to be you, because we have this big party who came in. Now again I was in there quite awhile before the big party came in and because they were so slow with my order I didnt get what I wanted. I didnt think it should be my problem that a big party came in. So when I told my husband what happened he went up and told the guy and he more or less told him it sucks to be you too. Then my order sat there for ten more minutes while he waited on the big party and I finally went and got it and ate it. We had planned on going to a movie after dinner so I couldnt wait any longer. So now I not only didnt get what I ordered, it was cold. My husband went and asked the guy what his name was and he said his name was Phillip. If he is there when you go in run the other way. He has no customer service skills and if he cant remember an order maybe he should write it down.

Worst service in a restaurant I have probably ever received. When making my grilled chicken burrito he asked if I wanted sauce on it. I asked what it was and if it was spicy he said he didnt know I said well what is it and he said he wasnt sure. My husband asked for the red sauce and we watched him scrape the bottom, crusty grossness and go to use it but thankfully decide better when I went to go protest. Instead we got the gross last few pieces of grilled chicken. The tomatillo cilantro sauce was inedible and soupy. I cant tell you exactly what I got because the server couldnt name anything he put on it so I will just discourage you from going there at all. After the first few bites and my 3 yr old refusing to eat we threw it out and spent our money elsewhere.

Stopped here on a whim as a first time guest. Friendly service with a smile. Explained the dishes, different meats and offered a sample. Hot and fresh tortillas with a good selection of sauces and toppings. Guac was fresh, sour cream was cold, chips and salsa were good. Tables were clean and the food was very good. Sweet meats werent my taste during a sample so I got the steak burrito and the steak was great. Not fatty or chewy, really delicious. My husband got the shredded beef, also good. Green chili was told was spicy but if you can handle regular green chili, its not spicy at all, has good flavor. This restaraunt reminded me of Cafe Rio but a little better. We will come back!

This place has been horrible every time we have visited. The first time no one was at the counter or ever asked us if we needed help after waiting for quite sometime, so we walked out. Gave the place a second chance since they gave us a coupon for a free entree after recently moving to the neighborhood. Horrible the second time too. They had absolutely no idea what gluten free meant even though it was advertised on the coupon. Entirely clueless, we did our best to explain but they had no idea, walked out again and threw away the coupon. We wont ever be back again and dont waste your time if you are celiac. Actually, just dont waste your time.

I work nearby and get lunch here about once a week. It is WAY better than comparable options like Chipotle and Qdoba. 1. You get WAY more food for your money, 2. Faster service, and 3. They have a great rewards app that gets you about 8% back on your spending. Oh, and it actually tastes like Mexican food. The people are a good mix of personalities.. some super friendly, some more laid back not so in your face perky (which not everyone likes). I have never had a bad experience here! Ive tried nearly everything on the menu and it is all delicious!

To be fair I am a Chipotle enthusiast. With that being said, I understand that every burrito place is not Chipotle. However, when I went to Costa Vida for the first time I was disappointed with their selection, service, and the sickly sweet flavor that came with my burrito bowl. The only balance to the unnecessary sweetness was the copious amounts of cheese they put on my burrito bowl. I thought Costa Vida might be a distant second behind Chipotle (which is an accomplishment), but alas it falls into the manajory of burrito copy cats.

Chipotle/qudoba style restaurant. This place is not terrible by any means just definitely not my taste for Mexican or Chipotle style food. All of their sauces and "salsas" have NO spice to them and most of the menu offerings are sweet flavors. If you like zero heat in your food and love sweet marinated meats with sweet salsas/sauses then this is the place for you! I will not be returning as it is just simply not my kind of mexican. Ill stick with qudoba for this kind of atmosphere and food.

Today I went for the first time and I loved it! I would recommend. If you like little spice but a lot of flavor try their red sauce. I also speak spanish so they understood me a little better. If you like or even love mexican food like me, I would totally recommend it. I hope you like costa vida and have a good time! (If you have older kids, than take advantage of their kids menu, you get cinnamon tortillas which are so delicious!)

Delicious every time! Think of a more nautically themed Illegal Petes with a better selection of menu items. Classics like burritos and nachos, with awesome options like enchiladas as well. All delicious and made to order with great salsas, toppings, etc. Staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely worth going out of the way for if it isnt close by!
