The food was great! My husband had the chorizo con huevos which he said was the best hes had in a long long time. The chorizo had just a touch of spice but not so much that you couldnt taste the great flavors of the chorizo or the chile sauce that was on top. The chile sauce was very mild with maybe a touch of cinnamon, not the green chile sauce you see everywhere (ew!) I had the carne asada steak cooked med. rare (came out perfect) with beans, rice, guac, and grilled onions and a pepper. If this review was based on food alone, 5 stars! I hate to do it, but I took away a star for the service. We ordered and got our food pretty quickly, however once we got our food, the waiter totally disappeared. We had 2 sets of silverwear (fork and knife) but we also have a toddler... she didnt get any silverwear, so my husband gave her his fork and we waited and waited for the waiter to get a spoon or fork. He never came and my husband used his butter knife to eat. When my husband was 1/2 way done, the waiter finally sped by and we managed to stop him and ask for a spoon. We didnt even get a chance to ask for a refill on our empty drinks which ran out completely when he brought back the spoon, but he dropped and ran. So we ate the remaining 1/2 of our meal without drinks. (Spicy mexican food with no drinks???) We hoped when he came to clear plates we could ask for drinks. Nope we sat there for 20 minutes after we finished eating and I stacked up the dishes to make it clear we were finished before he came over and said "Oh youre done." and took the plates and walked off. About 10 minutes later we finally got a check. This guy was awful. We even saw him many times standing around talking, hand on his hip leaning on the wall and looking bored. I did tell the hostess as we left what happened and she was very sweet and apologetic. I also gave about a 13% tip. I normally tip 20%- 25% standard, not for this guy. Dont be scared though, usually the servers at El Parral are great and every other table seemed to be getting great attention.

Food: The meals tasted nothing like homemade. The chips and salsa could easily be confused for Mission tortilla chips with Tostitos salsa. The taco shells seemed like those same type you would find on any grocery shelf. The beans and rice were good, but the meats lacked any spice or real flavor. Our churros and fried ice cream were good, but the churros were not homemade. Service: Our server was very nice and attentive. Unless she also served as a "cook", It was not her fault that our food was terrible. Atmosphere: The restaurant is in what looks like an old Black Angus with 80s decor to match. While probably a decent place for families to eat, most of the clientele on a Saturday night @630 pm appeared to be retired couples (aged 65+). Price: The prices are reasonable (< $10 per plate), but the food taste and quality are not worth even the lowest prices.

Not at all bad food here - the margaritas are tasty enough and their platters are tasty. A little mild for my taste but overall acceptable. Ive eaten here three times and Ill probably be back.

Ok, but everything tastes the same. Rice was greasy and bland. Chicken in the enchiladas was tasteless. We went at 4:00 on a Friday. There wasnt another sole in there the whole time.

Very disappointed in the green chili, used to be great. Way to hot could not even eat it, only tiny pieces of pork too! Waste of money dont bother trying it. I will never go back!!

RIP OFF. CHARGED MY $67.00 for 4 shots of tequila and the bar tender drank 2 of them. NEVER SETTING FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. PLUS the green chili sucks tastes like gravy!
