I clicked 5 stars twice because seriously, I wanted to give Blue Island 10 stars! Growing up in Florida, I guess I took seafood for granted. Weve been trying to find good seafood in the Metro area since we got here. Look no further! This was amazing! Ive walked by this place so many times so we finally popped in for lunch. We sat outside, enjoying the gorgeous Cherry Creek weather. Looking at the menu... decisions, decisions!! But for us, 2 things are the earmark of a good seafood restaurant. Crabcakes and fish sandwich so that is what we ordered! My wifes crab cake was just that - a big cake chock full of crab! I honestly dont know how they hold the thing together! So tasty and nada fillers. She opted for the side salad which was fresh and equally delicious. My sandwich? OMG... hands down best fish sandwich I have ever had. It was breaded in a cracker coating and fried but you would not know it. No sign of grease, the cod was soooo light and flakey. My mouth is watering thinking about it! For my side, I chose the coconut curry cauliflower. Amazing! My preference is to be gluten-free so even though I know the cracker coating doesnt fit that, I was able to get the gluten-free bun. So oh yeah, we will be regulars. It did cost more for lunch than we would typically spend but it was worth it! The iced tea was $3.50 so would stick with water next time to drop $7 off the bill.

We found this place through Groupon and it really was a gem of a find. I am from Rhode Island, now living in Denver, and am always on the hunt for a good fried clam. The East Coast Surf Clams served at Blue Island are probably the best that Ive had since I moved 13 years ago. We stuck with all apps this visit, getting the clam chowder, Old Bay peel and eat shrimp, and a half dozen of the $1 Oysters. Everything was perfectly on point. As a New Englander I dont like it when you mess with my Clam Chowder, but this place updated it in a way that I couldnt argue with at all. (Bacon) All in all it was an awesome meal and I highly recommend Blue Island. Check out their $1 oyster specials on Monday nights and on Wednesday nights they have a $20 grilled lobster special.

Terrible place to go eat at dont ever order the 54 dollar plate that is supposed to feed 3-5 people will maybe feed one person very small portions they serve this plate for lunch everything was cold and gross we had our boys with us and order them chicken strips and fries they didnt bring their food till later poor boys had to stare at us eat cuz they dont like seafood very arrogant staff waiter hardly ever came around dont try this place will be disappointed unless you want to give away a lot of your money the platter came with salami and raw clams the clams were horible will make you gag on that note if you all wana try this place after what i put cant say we the public didnt help you out.

Denver seafood is always a challenge but Blue Island Oyster Bar made it look easy. Lee, our server, provided exceptional attention to our table with knowledge on the menu. An attractive menu selection of oysters ranging from New York to Washington were some of the freshest Ive found in Colorado. Corey was the oyster guru while Shane tempted us with a new drink experiment - now dubbed "the Jenn" by my wife who loved it. ;) We also tried the mustard fries, biob salad, Spanish octopus and clam chowder - which by the way came with a clam fritter that totally rocked. All were fresh and tasty. Thanks for such a lovely time, I will be back with friends!

The Good: I highly recommend the clam chowder, it was suggested by the waiter and was delicious even though it was 85 degrees outside. We tried the traditional lobster roll and the Denver lobster roll, both were very good but couldve used a little more mayo (my opinion). The oyster selection was good and once again our waiter was quick to provide suggestions. The Bad: I couldve used a tad more may on the lobster roll but purists might disagree with me. Personal opinion but very good still. Overall - We will definitely be going back and I would recommend this to friends.

Not the quality service or food as suggested online. Water not refilled, hot soup served cold, appetizer & main course served same time, food delivered but empty dishes not picked up, portions itty bitty, cold lobster & butter, no cloth to wipe hands after eating lobster, necessary to ask for 2nd glass wine, table needed wiped before disappointing dessert served, waitress waited by table for credit card to be charged with predetermined tip, not busy and will not go back ... presentation appearance of food zero appealing too.

This place is like Moes meets a Sushi bar. You pick a bowl and fill it up with different seafood or veg is. I had the large bowl and had an amazing amount of fresh toppings. Salmon shrimp edamame seaweed salad cucumber salad.. The location kinda sucks as this shopping is a pain to get into and out due to traffic. Probably should have been near the gym across the street to cater to the healthy crowd.Sorry no Pokemon seen.

ordered the oysters Rockefeller, they took 20 minutes and were cold. Dinner came shortly after with another disappointment. Food once again was cold and although my friend asked for the dressing on the side it came mixed in. The manager was apologetic yet did not remake any of my items. People make mistakes but the unwillingness to make it right left a sour note. I will not return. Too expensive for mediocre & cold fare

I absolutely love this place! Its definitely my favorite restaurant in Colorado. The food is amazing and prices are reasonable, especially during happy hour and $1 oysters on Monday. And the service is impeccable! Ive been here a dozen times and Ive never had a bad experience with the food or service. And the staffs are always polite. Oh, and Ive never had to wait for a table. You guys should give it a try!

Went here for a birthday dinner. I hadnt had oysters in a while and the ones I had were very nice and fresh. Wine selection is decent. Daily specials sounded appetizing but I didnt have them that night. Deserts were all tasty- we shared all 4! A bit pricy, but as expected for the neighborhood and cuisine. Overall positive experience.

Went in with my girlfriend and sister. Sister got the chowder and boiled shrimp. She loved both dishes and finished both. Girlfriend and I split fish and chips and they served us a huge piece of perfectly fried fish and tons of french fries. All of the meals were a 10/10. Best fried fish I have ever had

This place has the cool, clean vibe that I like in a seafood restaurant. The grilled octopus app is excellent. The oysters are fresh. Every Monday they have $1 oysters all day. An unpretentious, reasonably priced, American seafood joint, its a great fit in Cherry Creek.

Excellent oysters, they farm fresh from off Long Island where they own a farm and bring in other varieties from both east and west coast. Love the Tuna Poke!!! Great atmosphere! Nothing bad to say. A must for seafood lovers. Great food and drink happy hour!
