I have been going to Rasta Pasta for over three years with friends, family, and anyone who will let me take them. I can only say good things. So many members of their staff have been their forever, and all of them are very friends and accommodating. Whenever you walk through the front door you are always welcomed with a smile. They have a great drink selection and have Bristol Beers on tap( Local Brewery). Their appetizers are great and enough portion for around 3-4 people (I recommend the Garlic Bread with Rosé sauce highly). Their lunch and dinner prices are super reasonable for how much food you get and you can order either size any time of the day. Side Salads that come with Dinner potion are fresh and refreshing with super unique salad dressings. And finally, THE PASTA! Me or someone I know have gotten pretty much every entree and always been delighted! I stick to the Chicken Montego Bay most nights. You almost always have enough food to have another meal unless you are very hungry. I have only every had one incident where I ordered some Take Out and the Garlic Bread w/ Rosé was left behind. I was devastated! Just kidding, but I did miss having that delicious bread when I got home. I gave them a call and they tried to find my order, but were unsuccessful (maybe cuz I used a gift card). Even though they couldnt find my order the waitress took down my name and address and said they would send me a $5 gift card to cover the cost. I was blown away! This was some top tier customer service! Come to today when I received the gift card. Not only was it for $10, but their was a hand written note by the owner apologizing for the mistake. If that isnt loyalty to their customers I dont know what is. I will continue to go to Rasta Pasta until... pretty much forever.

Diners beware! My daughter was nice enough to take me out for Mothers Day and took me to Rasta Pasta Downton Colorado Springs, food and service was good. Not to put all her business out there, but she lives paycheck to paycheck and had to go to the store to get some formula and couldnt due to nonsufficient funds. When she called the bank to find out why, they told her Rasta Pasta charged her account twice to put her at a balance to not purchase her formula and groceries for dinner. She called Rasta Pasta and they told her someone will call her back tomorrow... I then intervened and called them and told them her situation and that she can not afford for an extra $40 to be pending on her account for 2 days. He did not seem to care and just pushed it off to the banks. He had no sympathy or empathy that my daughter could not afford this to happen to her and that it affects her livlihood. So, if you live paycheck to paycheck and budget money aside to eat out every now and again, DO NOT got ot Rasta Pasta, they do not care if they "accidently" run your card twice and their bank hold your money for a few days! Not sure what they could have done, but they offer nothing to try and make things right and dont care if you dont return due to these circumstances. She can not go back in fear of the untrust of them charging her card twice and holding her money for days and they simply didnt care...

Walking in the restaurant, I had a few red flags... the way the servers wiped down the tables immediately let me know that cleanliness was not a priority here. Regardless, my family was in the mood for pasta and we were already there... then the server took a ridiculous amount of time to even get us menus or waters... later, the salads were nasty... I could buy a better pre-packaged one from the grocery store. Also, we had to remind the server to bring the drink that came with the kids meal for our child... Ultimately, the server was rude, rolling her eyes after we made any requests and forgetful not just of us, but entirely forgot a group that came in before us... (they ended up walking out from being ignored too long).... maybe this behavior may have been somewhat excusable, but the place was not even packed... there were plenty of servers to handle the volume of customers. Finally, the food was gross - which is a shame. I generally love pasta and I really like Caribbean... but this place really missed the mark. We ended up feeling sick part way through our meals and had no interest in eating leftovers. Great concept, but terrible execution. We only came here because of the inflated Google Review rating, but wont make that mistake again.

After seeing good reviews, my husband and I decided to try Rasta Pasta. The atmosphere and the service were good. Our server was super friendly and efficient. We ordered their signature Rasta Pasta dish. The portions looked pretty large so we ordered one to share since we were on our way to a show and did not want to have leftovers. When the food arrived, first impression, it looked really dark, almost purple. We assumed it was due to the lighting since they have red and green bulbs in many of the ceiling lights. The pasta was cooked perfectly but there was way too much sauce. The chicken had a silvery sheen, like fish skin. Again we thought maybe it was the lights. I wish I had taken a picture to post. After a couple of bites we both thought it had a fishy weird after taste. We could not stomach the dish and felt literally sick. Our server asked if we wanted boxes and we said no. We did not complain and even though she took nearly full plates away, she did not ask how everything tasted. We paid and left and will definitely not be going back or recommending this place to anyone. What I cannot figure out is how they have such good reviews.

Rasta Pasta is my absolute favorite restaurant on Tejon! My favorite dish is Tortellini Jamaica Mon - its cheese tortellini with grapes and bananas. Seriously, its impossible to be in a bad mood when eating that! I went to Rasta Pasta for my 21st birthday and continue to go there for any occassion - my birthdays, college graduation, survived another week- anything! I am always sure to take family from outside of town to Rasta because its unlike anything they can probably find at home. I am a huge fan of Jamaican food in general. But this is different than traditional Jamaican food - for example, there are no fried plantains on the menu. For those you will have to go to the Spice Island Grill. But the Bananas Marley Ice Cream Dessert almost makes up entirely for the lack of fried plantatins. In fact, Rasta only has three desserts, and I always end up ordering all three because I cannot decide which one I like best. I ♡ Rasta Pasta!

Get the natural Mystic, get the bananas Marley, get a red stripe, get a bucket of shots. who knows where the night will go! ONE REQUEST......... THEY NEED MUSHROOMS AT THIS PLACE! I am a vegetarian and need shrooms at least once a week on my Rasta Pasta! Also the tofu should be organic, because if it is not, then it is likely GMO soy. Not the owners fault... devious corporations fault! CANT MENTION HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS WITHOUT EATING IT. Also try "feel the burn" if your someone like me, who eats fast, it WILL slow you down. They have 3 levels of hot, I like spicy foods and the 2nd level is at the top of what I like, and i order it. If you like Thai hot ishes then go for level 3.... but there is no coming back.
