I wish I could give below 1 star. Dining at Everest Nepal Restaurant was a horrible experience of our Colorado Springs Trip. We found this restaurant as we were looking for an authentic Nepalese Cuisine nearby Downtown Colorado Springs. The staffs were so unfriendly. Restaurant was so messed up esp. Kitchen. Customer were waiting for longer than usual time and still not serves in proper manner. We are from Nepal and we know our Nepalese Food. The Owner itself being Nepali doesnt even know how to serve the customers. Me, My Wife and my Friend were shocked to see the whole incident. They bring MOMO (Chicken & Veg) after 40 minutes and that too Chicken Mom half cooked and Veg Momo over cooked. We explained to the owner about the food and asked him to at least bring food once properly cooked and his reaction was "What Can i Do, Dont pay" Is that how you run your business?? A disaster we have experienced. Never to this location.

As soon as you walk in the restaurant, you are greeted by a unique atmosphere full of seemingly authentic decorations. Also, the walls are filled with pictures of Nepal and the beauty that is Mt Everest. Besides the warm visuals, the restaurant is filled with a wonderful smell that can only come from the heart of Nepal. The genuinely kind server placed a menu of varying and generous options, including drinks and appetizers. Seriously, the menu is huge with so many options including: locally raised Yak and countless vegetarian options. The appetizers and food were delicious. We ordered dumpling and fried tofu that came with sauces as appetizers, lassi --which is a yogurt based drink-- and chai, and for the meals we ordered curry and veggie chow chow. Theres something for everyone and you wont be disappointed. We definitely plan on going back and trying as many menu items as possible.

Ive been to Everest Nepal Restaurant about 25 times. Its one of my favorite eateries to go to when I go down to the Springs beside the Ultimate Buffet on N. Powers Blvd & N. Carefree. Unlike many buffets, the Everest Nepal lunch buffet is quite small, but has all the popular entrees on the buffet with naan bread, and fruit, salad, desert. Very friendly staff, and Indian style ambiance. Price is around $10 for the lunch buffet. I have been to Everest Nepal with many family and friends, and have always had an excellent experience. Wonderful place. Across the street from Everest Nepal Restaurant is the Everest Tibet Imports store which is always a fun place to wander through after eating, check out the incense, Tibetan hats & clothing, etc.

Had the lunch and dinner buffet here on separate days in March 2012. The service was friendly and attentive and all the food was tasty and amazingly good. The naan is fresh, warm, and fluffy. The saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and all the vegetable dishes were great. The buffet has lots of selection, naan on the buffet, and rice pudding on the buffet. The ambiance is nice and emphasizes the Nepal and Mt. Everest part of the theme. Basmati rice is tasty. Great experience.

Wait staff is super friendly. I love having the buffet; several options and great price. The place recently underwent renovations and I love the new colors and the removal of clutter, while still keeping the Nepal/Indian Charm. It feels like you are in another country. I have had dinner several times there and really enjoy the Lentils with Basamati Rice. I lean toward Vegan/Vegetarian dishes. They have always been accomodating. Will recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely terrible experience. Please note that, we visited this place, a party of 9, on a long weekend, for dinner, and the place was clearly short-staffed, the meat raw and un-cooked (words of my friends who ordered the chicken), and the salad was absolutely a disaster. We did have to wait for almost an hour after placing our orders.. From other reviews, looks like the place isnt really bad, but for a busy long weekend, they definitely were poor in all aspects..

I went for dinner with a colleague during a business trip. I had the lamb vindaloo and asked for it to be extra spicy. Although not a sweat-inducing spice level, the flavor was excellent and the lamb, though slightly tough as lamb tends to be, did not contain an offensive amount of gristle. We were served politely and competently, nothing special. The price was very nice for the quality level of the food. Ill go again if Im ever back in C. Springs.

I love this place...found it a month ago and Ive been back every week since. The curry dishes are amazing, especially with yak. A previous review mentions food not being served appropriately spicy. I am sure the restaurant has taken that review to heart-- I was asked how spicy I would like each dish (always extra spicy) and everything they have served has been deliciously spicy. Seriously worth a visit. The mustang coffee is also a must have.

Food sold as entrees for dinner is not salty and is seasoned well. Food sold as lunch buffet is highly salted including both soups chicken vegetable, and tomato, aloo paneer, chicken gorma, chicken tandoori, vegetables, dal, rice all very salty to probably get customers to order beverages as well as the buffet. Staff were friendly. Better to spend your $$here on the entrees vs the buffet, u less you like salt.

I ordered the Fish Vindaloo today, and asked for it to be very super very spicy, Indian spicy, Nepal spicy. The waiter agreed. I asked him if he believed me. He said yes. It was only mildly spicy. Price: $16. After dinner, I saw that on the check, for the kitchen, he had written "F. Vindaloo (med)". I asked him about that, and he said that many customers dont like the food when it comes too hot.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. The lunch buffet is very good - can be done as take-out/to-go also. As to the buffet, ask for fresh naan bread. On 3 May 17, we had Yak Vindaloo curry, Baigoon Bharta (eggplant dish), and naan (regular & garlic). All the food was hot, fresh, very tasty, and served in a timely manor. I would also recommend the Saag Paneer (spinach and cheese).

Food was really yummy, I had an excellent Channa masala that tasted quite a bit more like Thai masala than India masala. However, we ordered takeout and they forgot to give us the (super important) raita sauce for our $15 dollar lamb briyani! Tasted great, but was not at all worth $15 without yummy yogurt sauce. Well go back, but well be checking the bag closely.

Took the family for dinner and everything about the experience was amazing. Wait staff was very nice, atmosphere was great as was the decor. The chicken vindaloo was ordered along with chicken curry, and some naan. Everything was delicious. The samosa was very good and dessert (dont remember the names) too. I will definitely be returning.

Loveeee the lunch buffet! Absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Was a little disappointed with the dinner, the one time I went there with my girlfriends. We ordered off the menu as they didnt have a dinner buffet and the food ended up upsetting my stomach. But will definitely be back for the lunch buffet!

Just okay for me. Nothing amazing or surprisingly good outside of the fresh, juicy watermelon. Out of the first four bites of butter chicken I had, three had bones in them...one had a rather large bone that was also sharp and about 1.5 inches in length. The samosas were tasty but probably would not crave this so much as to return.
