Been in Brighton for a few years now and finally tried this place today. It is always busy so I figured it was probably pretty good. Service WAS fairly good. Got our drinks right away along with some store bought chips and salsa that had way too much cilantro in it. Then we ordered the nachos. I didnt think it was a good sign when the nachos came out as the same store bought chips, smothered in canned cheese with a little bit of their taco meat on it. (If I wanted that type of nachos I could go to the ball park) Then came the main dishes. My wife had the soft taco. Mediocre taco meat in a flour tortilla. My mother in law got the small taco platter. A taco shell with the same mediocre meat, some bland rice and refried beans that were gray, thin and tasteless .And my chimichanga. The tortilla was nicely fried. It was light and crispy. Thats where the goodness ended. It had the same mediocre meat and was smothered in green chili that was bland with no bite to it at all. Im pretty sure the only reason this place is always so busy is because its cheap. But you certainly get what you pay for. Wont be back even though it is fairly close to me....

My wife and I have always been a little skeptical of Taco Loco but we finally decided to give it a chance. Ive grown up in Brighton and have eaten alot of Mexican food. Taco Loco definitely surprised me. The service was great and my meal was even better. My wife got the fajitas and I played it safe with a combination. The portion size was fabulous and the price was right on. Ill definitely be a regular if the rest of the menu is as good as what we had during or first visit.

For the price and the food this place is AWESOME! Love their Menudo and just about everything else on their menu. However not a fan of their Barbacoa (however there is a lot of other great food to enjoy). Overall I highly recommend eating here, now I will warn people that the place is very crowded and small. Weekends can be very hard to find a table and sometimes the service stinks, a few waitresses are awesome some are not so awesome.

El Taco Loco serves a fair meal at a fair price. The food is always pretty good and so is the service. Lunchtime can be pretty busy so plan accordingly. I always enjoy their HUGE combination #6 (Burrito, I always sub Barbacoa for the bean, Chili Relleno and Tostada) My only issue is that their chips are often stale, I think they are stored in a steamy environment. Not the end of the world.

The food is ALWAYS GREAT, BUT the service sucks! Once you food is served the waitress will not stop by to see how things are or if you need a refill. So be assertive and flag down a waitress if you need anything, they will bring you what you want you just have to get their attention first. Prices are the best in town for the value!

Food is delicious but staff isnt that great. They dont come back to your table after they bring you your food to see if you need refills, or anything else. Take a while to bring you your check too, at least they do with me. But the food definately makes up for it. Its definately worth it! And the prices are very resonable.

We go there alot. Food and service are usually very good. There have been times where something wasnt as good as it usually is but no place is perfect. All and all , we love Taco Loco and we always go back. If a place is really busy the service can be less than at off peak times. Food,service,price are all good!

Service is okay could be better. We werent sure how seating went. Salsa was more liquid than hearty. We made the mistake of ordering shrimp taco and a steak and potatoes burrito. Both were okay but not enough to entice me back. The fajitas look worth giving the place a second shot.

I did read the reviews before going and they were correct the food is good & tastes authentic, the decor is colorful. The service is still (very) slow. You must be very assertive if you have a need. You cannot receive 5 stars without better waitresses.

This is a place where locals eat. If you expect super-service, then go somewhere else. If youre looking for good Mexican food, at a reasonable price, youre in the right place. They even tolerate "foreigners" very well.

The food is clearly all frozen and unseasoned the staff was rude when I sent my food back. The building itself is poorly maintained. I would not recommend to anyone.
