We had a terrible 1st time experience with this place. Ordered 3 pizzas and wings to go. Got there in the time frame (30 mins) that it was supposed to be ready. Had to wait at the place for another 20 mins while they kept asking if we paid yet or got our food (yes then no). It seemed they kept forgetting our order and had to make it. By the time we finally got them, they forgot one of our pizzas (but didnt charge us for it at least). When we got back to our hotel to eat, we discovered the pizzas were paper thin and burnt on the bottom. When a pizza is that thin and burnt, all you taste is the burn. Then we tried the wings. While the flavor was good for the wings, they were overcooked and the meat was semi tough. We were trying to feed 5 people and all of us were severely disappointed and barely ate our food as when its that late in Fairplay, you dont have any other food choices. So now we know. We will not be trying this place again when we come back to work

Stop here for excellent food, good selection of beer, great service and some interesting people watching. I live 60 miles from Alma but pass though a couple times a month. Ive been going to the South Park Salon for 10 years now. The bar has been owned by Joel for 22+ years I think. Joel knows how to run a bar so he is able to keep quality staff, so the food and service are always excellent. I highly recommend the burgers, burritos and pizza. This bar frequently has live music on the weekends and it can get pretty lively.

We went here for lunch on a week day after hiking a 14er nearby. There was only one server working, and he was very rude. We were honestly scared to ask him questions because of the way he had snapped at us multiple times. The food was ok, but the "veggie" option for mexican food contained broccoli, tofu, and squash. Kind of random, and I wish it would have been on the menu like that so I couldve avoided it.

Did not eat, so this is only pertaining to the bar aspect. Good, not great selection of beers. I understand variety-wise it is limited by space, but the choices were kinda pedestrian given it is CO. Staff was friendly, but rather slow. It was pretty busy though, so perhaps that is why. Cant wait to get back, as I expect them to improve as they cut their teeth a little more.

After a day of sledding at nearby Hoosier pass, our two families decided to stop in for some drinks and appetizers. The wait staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. We got just about every appetizer on the menu and the family was raving about each one. Perfect mountain saloon. This is a fun, must stop when you are driving through Alma!

Had lunch here with several friends. You order your meal from the menu on the board; there were several options available, or you could just order burger with your choice of ingredients. Apparently the menu may change from time to time. The food portions were generous, and delicious. Definitely worth our money.

This was one of the best bacon cheeseburgers Ive had in a while. When we walked in around 7 or 8 on a Saturday night, we were greeted by a very sweet dog just hanging out in there and had excellent service. Best experience Ive had in a small little bar restaurant in months.

this is a must stop when in the South Park Area. Great Food, awesome staff. rustic atmosphere and decent prices. We caught a prime rib special on the way through and it was amazing, We made a trip back the next day as well. I cant say enough. Loved it!!

Delicious food. They were VERY busy when we showed up but decided to wait since the ratings were good.... great choice! I also thought their ranch was delicious!! If youre not in a rush I would definitely stop here.
