11/28/13 - Flying V Bar and Grill at Ventana Canyon Resort - Went here for dinner as friends were visiting from out of town and had requested it. The food was good but really pricey. They have tableside guacamole as an appetizer for 17 dollars. I had a 6 ounce filet for 37 dollars and a glass of tea for 4 dollars. The filet was charred on the outside even at medium rare. The service was just okay and really slow. The view is really great though, so visiting at sunset is recommended. And they have a really nice waterfall/koi pond right outside as well.

My wife and I wanted to try something different so we noticed The Flying V was highly recommended on trip advisor. This place did not disappoint. We started with the calamari, it was wonderful! For our main course we went with the highest recommendation from our waiter John, which was the ahi tuna and the beef tenderloin. It was amazing! We had no room for dessert but we finished our evening with nice sipping tequilas. We will indeed come back! Great food great service!

You get what you pay for, and they surpass expectation. The steaks were cooked to a juicy medium rare and seasoned to perfection! The service? One word: Impeccable. Like a slow dance the waiters and busers wove in and out of one another so fluently. The tequila selection is enticing to say the least.The best part is it has by far the best table side view you will find in Arizona. Two thumbs way up.

This was my first time here and i was very impressed! I am in love with the food the service was so great that i gelt so taken cared of! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! The environment was so romantic on this Valentines day! The wine was so good and the food ... AMAZING!!! I will so come back

Had lunch here for a conference. The root vegetables paired with Mahi Mahi was excellent. The field green salad with vinaigrette dressing was fresh and nicely presented. Overall picturesque setting with attentive service. Never lacked for ice tea refills.

We had the tacos as appetizer and burger for the main meal. The service was great but the food was just ok. The drinks were expensive and dull as well. The atmosphere was great. The bill was 100.00, includes a 13.00 tip. I dont recommend.

Excellant food and service. Outside patio overlooks waterfall on the 18th green at Loews resort. More pricey than many places, but is a great place for a special treat.
