There was not too distinctive a transformation that we noticed from the old RubyTuesdays to the Embers decor except for the wood fired oven that is constantly being poked and prodded to keep the fire at an optimal temperature. This place is comfortable enough and dark enough to reside on the fence somewhere between the bar and grill it is advertised to be. If you dont like burgers or pizzas, then you might want to go somewhere else. That should represent a relatively tiny subgroup of the SA population, however. Its just that you should make sure you are not in the mood for lasagna or fried chicken before you go there as the menu is fairly limited. Placed an order for two of their American Burgers done medium (here we go again). One of the burgers almost had some pink in it and the other was well done. Of course that charred burger had to be my wifes! I would have traded with her as I have a greater tolerance and continuum for doneness acceptability, but we each have specific condiment likes and dislikes; i.e. I like mustard, she does not; I like onions, she does not, etc. About as apologetic as the day is long, the server continued to ply my wife with the "Im so sorry" phrase as he explained about grill hot spots and the burger normally being the star of the menu. As a token of sincere regret, the server brought my wife a Caesar Salad while her "new" burger was being grilled. Meanwhile the manager hobbled over to the table (she had an injured foot) to offer her apologies and to announce that she was comping a burger (which was mostly taken care of by a Groupon that had to be used that day - the thought was nice though) but did offer a desert gratis. My wifes burger arrived as I was finishing mine. Thank goodness it was medium. The burgers are actually a very good half lb. of beef with a good smoked flavor from the grill. The fries are lightly battered and very good as well. Except for the doneness ordeal, the dining experience might have been a very good one and I certainly doff my hat to the manager and server who did most everything they could to make up for it. Sometimes you eat the bear and . . . We finished our burgers, bundled up leftovers for the animals, and commented to each other that we might just have to give the place another try as we made our way out the door.

The employees of this Embers location deserve all 5 of these stars and more! The manager Steven was more than accommodating, his customer service was such a pleasant surprise. Its rare you see such caring and envovled management. From helping make sure all our needs were met and checking on our party from time to time, to helping out through out the entire restaurant and its employees. Our waitress Hailey was just lovely! She was very kind, attentive and spot on! Brandon made sure our drinks were tasty and full at all times! Hats off to the chef!! You topped off everything with your delicious cooking, and superb flavors. The food was so good we found ourselves sharing and tasting each others plates in shock at how good all the food was. We will be returning customers, and so will all of the others in our party. The service and food was Amazing!!! A+

My friend and I had 1 beer each with a late lunch. We are on a business trip and had a very stressful morning, and asked for a 2nd round....our server (who seemed to be about 16 years old, and didnt even ID us) told the manager that he wasnt comfortable serving us a 2nd beer each because they "werent sure if we had been drinking before we came in, but didnt feel comfortable serving us any longer"!! We are professional business women having a late lunch with a drink, staying across the parking lot from the restaurant, might I add! I am appalled by this treatment, and cannot believe that they treat people with the type of disrespect! I used to work in the restaurant business, and if your servers cannot tell if someone has had 1 or 10 beers, he/she should not be serving!!

Ordered a large cheese pizza, focaccia bread, and house salad to go... place was nearly empty and the order still took 30 minutes for some reason. The pizza was not large. Apparently theyre one-size (small). Which is fine, except we werent told so when we ordered a large. After waiting so long, we didnt order anything more. The focaccia was good, but had too much herbs on top. They brushed off easily. The pizza was ok; Ive had better frozen pizza. I didnt try the salad... but my husband ate most of it without complaint so it mustve been ok. Overall, edible. Not anywhere Id go again. Our search for pizza places continues. So far we like Julians, Dough, mellow mushroom, and Whole Foods...

This place was delicious. I went with a large group, about 9 of us on Tuesday for lunch. The food was actually really good. We started off with several appetizers and they were all really good. The potatoes with a spicy cheese sauce were the hit of the table, it came on the sampler. I had the Chicken Basal (i think that was the name) it had a white wine lemon cream sauce with baslamic reduction- to die for. I was very impressed. For my sides I got the broccoli which was cooked to perfection and the fries that were slightly battered. Yummy all the way. The server was really nice and the food came out in a decent amount of time. I will be going back.

Me and my wife ate here. Our service was awesome. Casey was our server he was great and when we go back we will definitely ask for him to be our server again. We ordered the sampler and so glad we did. It comes with nachos, fried cheese sticks, and fire wings. It was great. The nachos were swirled cut potatoes with queso cheese, bacon, and green onions. The main coarse I got the Cajun tilapia...delicious and the perfect serving size. My wife had the spicy fish tacos they were also delicious. Next time I will definitely have to try their pizza because it smelled really good.

Went for a late lunch; there was only other table occupied so we were taken care of promptly. They have a good variety of salads, pizzas and burgers some made in a big wood oven. My son had the fire wood salmon salad; the salmon flavor was great and the balsamic vinaigrette imparted a great flavor to the salad. My wife had the California burger and she liked it. I had the bella swiss burger and it was also good but not extraordinaire. We also liked the french fries with our burgers. Our server was attentive. We were pleased with our experience and likely come back.

The only way I can describe our two dinning experiences at this establishment is "delightful". The food is excellent and the personnel are professional, past congenial, just plain fun. The brand and the product are well thought out and look like long term success. I love to see a plan come together. Thank You, I would recommend and will to all .....
