I was driving through Bozeman, on a cross country road trip and came across Copper, for dinner. It is a very cool Country bar/steakhouse in the "basement" of another restaurant. We ordered the cheese & olive plate to start, it was OK. There were a lot of olives (way more than two people need), the cheese was a soft Boursin-type in three boules that were fine, but whatever and the meat/salami was the star of the plate as there was a line of thick cut, mild salami. I had the New York Sirloin which was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My first words after were "Man, great steak". The garlic mashed potatoes were good and the veggies were OK (carrots were undercooked and the grilled onion was a little cold). My mom said she was unimpressed by her brisket tacos. I tried one, which was heavy on the smoke flavor, with light spice and way too much of a creamy "slaw" on top. They were OK. I have a feeling that this is a case-by-case basis type of menu. Definitely swing by and if you live in town come by a few times to try different items, I bet its worth it more times than not. (side note: Guys, our server was absolutely beautiful with a great lersonality)

The beet salad, of all things, keeps us coming back to Copper. The portion size would make it a great lunch on its own. Beet salads are becoming more popular in restaurants (for good reason!) and this one takes the cake. Unfortunately, our last experience with the main course wasnt good. The burger size seemed to be reduced significantly, and I only received five onion rings. The lobster sliders were also very disappointing. The portion would make it a decent appetizer, but since it was listed as a main course I would have expected them to come with a side dish. They tasted okay, but we expected so much more. They were loaded with filler (onions and peppers) with very little lobster. What lobster was there was probably a single claw shredded so fine it could have been canned crab meat and you couldnt tell the difference. It wasnt an off day, because the presentation was spot on. Im guessing theyre trying to cut costs by reducing portion sizes and use of high cost ingredients. I hope Im wrong, though, because I dont want to see that beet salad change.

I cannot state how pleasant it is to be able to try a variety of scotches and bourbons, and to have a wait-staff well versed in knowledge of such. Started out the evening with a Four Roses single barrel, of which I need to now find a bottle for further study. Ended with the Highland Park 12, which was enlightening in some senses. I managed to sneak a pulled pork sandwich in between, along with a delicately placed bowl of cheese grits atop a doily. Being from the south and having had my fair share of this cuisine, I have to say it was excellent! My previous experience out at a whisky bar involved a hand written note listing a few scotches, without any details. Copper is now my go-to location for sampling new bourbon and scotch. If only they had a trivia night once a week... :)

This place is the bomb diggity! The bees knees! I have been here on a few different occasions. Once, it was pretty busy and we just barely got a seat at the bar. Despite it being so busy, we still received great service. Another time, we went for the prime rib. It was busy, but we were seated immediately and our waitress was awesome. The prime rib was to die for! The last time I went there was for the sunday brunch. HOLY MIMOSA! No, seriously... best mimosa ever and of course, the food was top notch. In summary, every time I go to the Copper Whiskey Bar & Grill I am incredibly impressed by the service, food, drinks, and the friendliness of all of the employees.

Very disapointing, very over priced for for quality and quantity of food. 2 of our party of 3 ordered the fish and chips. One plate had very nice portions of fish and the other very small portion. One fish was dropped on the floor so they fixed another one and brought it out near the end of the meal. At least they didnt put in on my plate !!! It was very under cooked and mostly dough, I brought it home, minus the dough, and gave it to my cat. The only enjoyable part was we were celebrating my sons birthday. We are locals and we wont be dining there again. I would not recommend this as a great Montana place, for dinner.

One of the better new endevors in the Park/Gallatin county area. Was very impressed to see REAL Wisconsin Cheese curds (instead of just advertised as such) on the menu. The Pasta dish that I had was out of this world! On to the important part...Whiskey. The selection was impeccable, they knew everything about their Wiskey selections. Try their signature cocktail the Burbon Julius. No words need to be said about how amazing a drink it is.

I was amazed to see how incredible the place turned out. They went all out and remodeled the entire location to make it their own. This is a great upscale rustic bar & grill that has a real Montana feel. The wait staff is on point with everything on the menu as well as their entire whiskey selection. This is a great place to go for any occasion. I highly recommend coming here for your next night out!

Very nice upscale restaurant located in the lower level of building. Cozy and romantic low lighting tables and booths kind of has a speak easy feel. The service was spot on and the food was very good. My prime rib was a little more rare than medium but Im a beast and will eat it rare as well. Very good choice of regular and rare whiskeys in all price ranges. Fun place to try out.

I love this place! I bring guests and family here every time they in town. They have fantastic a cocktails, great beer on tap, and the staff is always so nice! It is a little pricey, however I think thats a good thing as it keeps the college kids out for the most part and makes it a nicer place to take friends and family. They are super accommodating for large groups as well!

Went in for a couple of cocktails after a James Taylor concert. Nice, clean atmosphere. Great service. Amazing drinks! Tried the Bourbon Julius and Whiskey and Coke (with cardamom infused bourbon) - both were amazing! Hope we get a chance to go in for dinner sometime, menu looks like it has great variety and uniqueness.

The Copper has great food and service. The atmosphere is on the darker end, beautiful, casual and stylish. Great place for a date! The dining area does fill up fast around dinner time. Ive also been to a few group parties there as well. They have a nice private room in the back for your larger occasions.

Love this place! I knocked off a star because they messed up my order and I have an allergy. However, they still get 4 stars because they immediately apologized and remade my order and I got to tell them about my weird allergies. Overall, I would go again just for the whiskey alone! Try it out!
