Walked in with my family and waited for the elderly woman to ring up a customer. No problem. After customer pays she simply turns away and didnt even acknowledge us. So we are now standing at the counter not knowing if we should just seat ourselves. (They do seat you under normal conditions) So no big deal to me, I figured they are busy... the younger waitress then tells us we can sit at a booth she just cleaned. I acknowledged the seat and tried to get by her as I was holding my year old daughter. Think she moved? Not a chance. There was no way she was gonna allow me by until she took the order from the table she was tending. So finally she moves and I proceed to ask her if she could get us a high chair. She acknowledged my request and continued about her business. She comes back 5 minutes later to get our drink order and I kindly reminded her we still needed a high chair to which her rude response was, "Im still working on that we are really busy here." She comes back with our drinks 5 minutes later and still no high chair... 5 minutes after that we get a high chair that she slides towards us in a manner that we obviously caused a burden on her. At this point Im done with her. This waitress obviously hates her job and doesnt know the fundamentals of her job. To serve. I understand people can be suck and be rude but when you are giving them your money you should never put up with that. So we didnt we gathered our things and were greeted by the elderly woman. To which I explained we were going to be leaving and not ordering.(Not in a rude way either. I respect elders, especially women.) She asked us,"Whats wrong?" I told her, "Nothing." (the younger waitress had be semi rude to my wife in the past and Im sure it wouldnt be her first complaint against her.) I felt completely uncomfortable the entire time we were in this restaurant and can only hope these people will understand its a choice not a privilege to eat at their restaurant.

The food was really good. But the thing is i didnt like the service and I didnt like attitude a bit. I called in for an order for me and my friend, and I ordered two omelet combos and one of them with a side of oatmeal. Well when I ordered the oatmeal I heard a scuff and with a little bit of attitude I was asked if I wanted anything for the oatmeal like sugar, brown sugar butter, and I just said sugar. She told me I have to wait 30 mins or more which that was fine cause im guessing everything is made fresh. So when that time came to pick up the food, my buddy went over there to pay and grab for it, and he came back and told me that this older lady gave attitude about the food order and said that I was studering and supposedly she asked about the jelly and jam but she actually didnt ask me about jelly or jam. And supposedly she put brown sugar instead of normal sugar cause she couldnt understand why just put normal sugar. And being in food service for a long time and customer service its not about what you think should go on something its what the customer wants. You aim to please the customer, and its really sad cause I love going to local food places and the omelets and hash browns were both really good (amazing job to the cooks) but I think its lacking positive attitude completely. If I was a restaurant owner, I would want to make sure the consumer is smiling not feeling intimidated or discouraged cause thats how my friend, and I felt. It almost made me lost my appetite. I just hope it gets better. Otherwise the food was good.

Wonderful food and the service was excellent. Ive never had a sourdough pancake before but they were phenomenal, absolutely amazing. If you like sourdough bread, you owe it to yourself to try these out. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable. Only negative was the coffee which is just a little weak for my personal preference but then I like to drink mud. If you want good food without any fluff or gimmick or pretension, Sundowners might just be your new favorite.

Called in an order, thankfully as the place was jam packed, and the lady was very nice as she took the order. Got there the food was ready, right on time. The lady who took my money was super busy, but made time for small chat as she rung me up and to say the food was amazing when I got it home is an understatement!!!! The mess, is so filling and delicious!! Have half a box for later still... Loved this place!!

Good food.. Nice atmosphere.. they forgot to make our food and gave us our ticket to pay before we even ate and they had to charge my card $63.00 for a $45.00 meal and then give me cash back less a $3.00 processing fee. I would come back but only pay cash now that I know.
