With sushi and sashimi being my favorite food, finding a good place to indulge can be difficult. I was not let down at all by this place or the people working. Went with the Chefs Choice Sashimi for meal. Good portions, nice presentation and great fresh flavor. Was actually seeing the fish cut in front of me. For people who generally cant handle the full flavor of saba, they offer Spanish mackerel which has a more mellow flavor. Same thing with salmon, they offer a Alaskan King Salmon for a more mellow and great flavor. Only the 5th review I have written on a restaurant across the globe.

This was excellent. Their tempura was light and crisp while their selection of rolls seemed endless. We chose 2 of the waitress recommended and 3 of our own. The Andy, the Kai, spicy scallop, the rainbow and California roll for the less adventuresome. The fish was fresh and presentation was pleasant. There was a high tendency for the cream cheese base, I can get past that. The service was good and both servers - shift cut, were nice. Call me old, but dump the nose hook when on the clock -

Service was attrocious. Server poured soy sauce on me from a plate she was bussing while she dropped off a plate at our table. Our dinner order was a catastrophe. Items entered wrong and many items not delivered (until we asked). At one point she had to ask me what was delivered and what we were waiting for - even then they still missed something. Menu has a very heavy reliance on "krab". On the plus side, they were accommodating and produced one decent and one excellent off menu item.

Place used to have a great happy hour and great noodles (the best in San Diego, been all over Asia and this places noodles were fantastic!). No more late happy hour, changed the noodles, lost all the of the personable servers and it now feels super sterile. Too bad, what was a great place is now just like all the rest. Food is still fantastic, but the personal touch is now gone.

Always love when I come here, the food is great and most of the time I get lovely service. One thing I have noticed is that if you order the short ribs, they are different every time(on the bone vs. on a skewer or just on a plate). Still super delicious, just not always consistent. Not sure if its like that for other items.

They have standard rolls like most places, but their signature rolls were amazing! On this visit we tried mango, da bomb dynamite, and pizza. The mango was so good, even though we were stuffed, we ordered another half roll. Also local craft beer on tap! Great sushi bar all around, a go to spot for me now.

Everybody is always really nice here and the restaurant is always clean. I have never had a bad roll or appetizer here. Sexy thang and red hot are two of my favorite rolls. And if you love oyster shooters this is the place!

I really like the sushi here! Lots of roll options and everything tastes amazing. Its a little expensive, but you get what you pay for, so I try to go here once a month or so when I can afford a higher priced meal.
