Weve been there twice now, opening day and Wed. late afternoon. The first time was OK, other than the waiter started to ask us to move, we sat at a tall table with 4 chairs, they want to keep it for four people! Ended up staying there. Not too bad of an evening, service was good other than the above mentioned part. Yesterday we were there about 5:30 pm and it wasnt busy, found a tall table and were quickly served. He took our beer orders came back with one beer, they were out of the other. Asked foe another beer, came back, "were out of that beer". The one beer we dis get we thought we would have another of it, but that keg blew and no backup. Finally did get a beer. My wife that the Wings and I ordered the Fish & Chips. The wings were quite good with plenty of celery & carrots. The Fish & Chips were OK, chips were good, not cut from a whole potato, had a very lite crispy coating. The fish tasted OK, but the batter was too thick and cutting into the fish crushed it. They may have a lot of TVs as someone else mentioned, but everyone was on the same basketball game almost no one was watching. A couple close to us ordered a pitcher of beer that was brought to their table 1/52 full and the rest was head! The lady politely asked if he knew how to pour a beer. The prices of their food is pretty much average, but the beer prices were $6.00 per 16 oz glass. We stopped at another establishment not far away, they were quite busy, but we stayed for a couple beers, which they had and cost $4.50. These were all micro brews, the ones from Homestead were local beers. Well have a hard time going back, and I have a hard time giving them 3 stars at this time. The service was quite good, food prices average, but beer prices high. I hope the TV programming problem was only a one time issue.

Came for the first time several months ago. It was the worst experience Id ever had at a restaurant. I ordered a breakfast meal and my wife got biscuits and gravy. It took an hour (no exaggeration) from the time we ordered, for it to arrive. She brought the food and told my wife that the gravy may be burnt and that it was all they had as well, and that if she didnt like it, she could order something else. Not only was the meal room temperature, but the gravy smelled burnt, and tasted even worse. (Is the cook not tasting the stuff hes putting on a plate!? Why even bring that garbage out in the first place!?) So they allowed my wife to order something else. So she got to wait while ate my less-than impressive breakfast. She got her burger, fries were cold, burger was cold. We left and swore wed never be back after such a terrible experience. Weeeell were back because a few friends have told us how great it is....we ordered 45 minutes ago, and still no food. Im going to finish this review after the food arrives so I can comment on that. Stay tuned... Ok so the food finally came after a 50 minute wait, and its better than the first time we visited, but overall average. Worth the wait? Not a chance. We probably wont be back.

The Homestead is just around the corner from my neighborhood so my wife and I thought we would give it a try finally. It was a Friday night so we expected it to be busy and loud (which it was) but on the same level as Texas Road House so it didnt really bother us. The service was excellent. Our waiter knew the menu really well and had no problem answering our questions and even was able to give us a little bit of the history of the place and its owners. I ordered the steak and tater with veggies which was excellent. My wife got the gyro and said it it was the best she has had. I saw another table order the wings and nachos. The nachos look wicked good as did the wings. Will need to go back try both of those.

Being nice giving it a 2. The staff was nice and a big beer list. Other than that nothing special about this place. When we went tonight it was loaded with flies making eating very unpleasant. The back door was open, which Im guessing was the source of the flies. Service was inconsistent. The appetizers and salads came out quickly but the main course took forever. Also I dont know why any restaurant tries to save money with no name ketchup brands. Why cant they just Carey Heinz? This place carried some gross ketchup. The food was very basic. I got the fish tacos and the cod pieces were bigger than the tortillas, which made eating them a mess.

Great food at reasonable prices. Weve had the burgers, wraps, salads, many of the appetizers. Everything was fresh, tasted great, and served quickly. Very community driven with special events on Mothers Day, Valentines Day etc. If you can find a table on Thursday you can get a free pint glass when you order from their visiting microbrewery. Cozy, local atmosphere - maybe a bit loud on the music sometimes. UPDATE: Taco tuesday for $1 tacos and the music level was perfect. Served chicken, pork, or steak tacos with both a green and red salsa so the New Mexican in me was happy. Order the Siracha bites too - to make your own fish (cod) tacos.

I am pretty much just reviewing the wings and beer selection here. The hot wings are top natch for the valley. I am a big fan of their "fire" sauce. It is plenty spicy and has a really nice flavor. Many places try and go all in with hot but then end up lacking in flavor. The "hot" sauce tastes very similar to a Franks Red Hot based sauce. So, is also a safe bet. They have 40 beers on tap and a wide variety of styles. It is worth checking Homestead out if you are looking to have wings and beers with friends...or even solo.

Average is a good word to describe this place. The food was good, not great or fantastic. The service was good, not great or fantastic. Good things about the restaurant: avg food, avg service, large portions, reasonable food price. Bad things: a lot of flies buzzing around, appetizers took a while to get to us, and when they did the main course came out three minutes later. A pepsi cost $3 which I thought was high. Overall, I doubt I will go back. There are a lot of other options in the area that are frankly better.

Ordered the Gyro and onion rings. Onion rings are run of the mill from the bag frozen, which makes the description in the menu a lie. I paid $2 extra for them as well and received five small rings. The gyro was mostly lettuce, olives, and cucumbers with 4 slabs of prepackaged lamb meat youd find at pita pit. Sauce was lathered heavy on the bottom of the pita making it split immediately and turn into a salad. Server never offered refills and took one dollar off of order for onion rings. Thanks Homestead.

I usually like going here, and the food is good. Love the Caesar pita. Today at lunch, service was just ok. We waited way to long to order when it wasnt that busy, and there is no greeting with a smile at all. I will not point out the particular individual - but if the owner is reading this, please make sure the staff treats us like customers should be treated, friendly. Not a good experience today. And the reason Im posting this is because Ive experienced it a couple of times now.
