Excellent with need for minor adjustments. Staff was super friendly and professional. Our waitress even knew the particular differences of each of the 6 types of Chardonnay by the glass. And Sky, who took my reservation over the phone and sat us was delightful, caring, and professional. Keep in mind that I have over 20 years working in the hospitality and restaurant business. 6 years of that with Hilton who is recognized as setting a standard of excellence for the rest of the industry. We were trained and expected to find ways to exceed the customers expectations. In America that is a requirement in most markets and most industries if you are going to survive. 1) Consistent attire. If uniforms are not provided, some sort of color and fashion coordination should be established. Perhaps the shirts and blouses of one color and fashion. 2) Name tags. Your customers are embarrased to not remember a servers name. They might even avoid them the next time they come in because they dont recall the name. Much less your own staff feeling bad because they dont remember the new bartenders name. 3) Ask me two survey questions. a) The meal you ordered would you order it again? b) Would our restaurant be a place you would likely visit again? If you get a no on either of those, ask if its okay to send over the maitre d because you mean to perfect the food, service, and venue. For their candid feedback, give them a gift like 2 for 1 on their next visit. Within 2 months, everything should receive a mark of excellence. I would not order the seafood pasta again. Only because I prefer a white cream sauce or a clear clam sauce vs. the red sauce. For sure I will return soon.

Great view of the ocean and even better if you come in time for sunset. They also have valet for only $4 or close by state parking area. To start off we started we the calamari and the house made guac. Both were good nothing special but good. For my main dish i had the lobster bacon cabornara and it was very good. Each bite had a bite of lobster and that comes to show you that they were not skimpy at all with the lobster. And they arent at all with their portions. Flavors in all their dishes are rich which is expected for plates running from 20-high 30s. Drinks here were ok priced, strong and still able to drink it all. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great place to come with a group of friends as well.

WOW ! My co-workers and I just had lunch at the Pacific Coast Grill. It has always been one of my favorite places to go for happy hour, but after this afternoon, Im ready to go back tonight! Great menu! The Director of Marketing, Events & Catering "Beth Bennett" was so gracious. Our waiter Adam was the best I have ever eperienced. He gave us sensational service. Of course the restaurant is unique & beautiful and the food superb and the views... priceless. We ate in the private dining room "The Reef Room" which was so unique with little glass bottles secured among the blue tiled walls. There were "messages in the bottles" :) I will definably be booking an event there soon. What a great time.

Our first dinner at the Pacific Coast Grill, which was in honor of my husbands 80th. birthday was a total success. There were six family members at the table, including two twin grandchildren, aged five. The adult menu and childrens menu was vast and reasonably priced. The food and service was quite good. We did not have to wait for our reserved table on the patio, overlooking the rocks and the beach at all. We were lucky to see the sun set over the Pacific Ocean--a breathtaking view. The Pacific Coast Grill is pleasantly furnished and there were many diners there that evening. We will be returning very soon, and look forward to the same delicious food and great service.

Was hosted there by some friends and was really pleasantly surprised. The parking lot (smaller than it should be) was jammed full and the valet was running around trying to keep up. When we got in there was plenty of available seating. We chose up stairs, outside with an unobstructed 180 degree view if the Pacific Ocean. The food was awesome, prices where not outrageous and if it was not for the complete mix up of "who ordered which entre" in our party of 4 they would have gotten a 5 for 5. Did not get one placements correct; 2 women, two men. So close but all 5s must mean "spot on".

Good views of the water from most tables. The food was above-average and fairly well made. The macadamia crusted tofu had a delicious sauce and accoutrements, but the tofu by itself needed some work. We also had a veggie hurricane sushi roll, which was tempura battered and delicious. We would definitely go back. Ask for the vegetarian or vegan menu if you are so inclined. They have several options. Tip: Theyre on a gray, overcast day try parking down on the road past the stop light to save a few bucks. Otherwise, just use valet or parking lot.

I recently organized a company retirement party at Pacific Coast Grill. We had a private area on the lower beachfront patio with a gorgeous, breathtaking view. Every single guest was impressed with the location, food, and service. We were able to celebrate without a worry -- everything was extremely well organized and executed. A special thanks to Beth, the Director of Marketing & Special Events, and our excellent waitstaff! We are all still talking about the fabulous time we had!

Amazing location on the beach and awesome food and service to match. Try the filet mignon sliders for lunch they are delicious and my favorite is the sea bass for dinner. I customize my meal with Forbidden Rive instead of mashed potatoes. My sons favorite desert is the Coconut cheesecake with passion fruit sauce. It reminds us of Haena where we picked passion fruit right off the tree! Its not usually busy unless its race season or some other event is in town. Enjoy!

This place is sooo good! I used to live down the street from here and would eat here all the time. Now that I live in Carlsbad I HAVE to make a trip down every couple months because I crave their food. The happy hour appetizer specials are really good and you cant beat the deals. Try the hamburger appetizer with the wine sauce... YUMMO! I like to get extra wine sauce to dip my fries in. Im going there tonight actually....

Came here to visit my friends who live locally. We all shared fabulous appetizers which included shrimp dumplings, bag of bones and a sushi roll. We were more full than we thought we wouldve so we skipped right to desserts. We ordered coconut cheesecake, chocolate macadamia nut cake and the bread pudding. We sat outside at sunset and oh my what a view. Ill definitely be coming back here.

We eat at PCG every Sunday for brunch (albeit we know the owners father who dines with us) and even if we didnt, it would be the dreamy place to spend a weekend morning, afternoon or evening. The food is wonderful and the view makes everything taste better. The lobster tacos, of course, are a specialty for brunch and lunch, but the dinners are also quality.
