Nice decor and atmosphere. Service was ok. We had cocktails and beers to start. Good selection of tasty beers - its really hard to go wrong with that. Cocktails weren’t as good but were as pricey as ever. The Old Fashioned was watery and just didn’t get close to acceptable. We had the Building Blocks and a salad to start, both were wonderful - we highly recommend the building blocks if you like crispy pork belly. For main course some of our party had BBQ and others had burgers. Most of the sides were excellent - the baked beans were the best we’d ever tasted (and I’m British so that is saying something). The slaw was equally good - lots of dill which gave it a great fresh taste. The fries were a little soggy. Beef ribs were enormous and very tasty. As for the smoked pork ribs - well, we wouldn’t order those again. Nor would we order the sausage again - very average. Burgers were ok, but nothing special - there are better options for burgers in the valley in our opinion. Many people have highlighted the fried mac and cheese in their reviews so we ordered it. The little bites definitely had a unique novelty factor and they tasted alright but we would not write home about them or order them again... Overall the Boneyard Bistro felt a little hit-and-miss. We will return for what we liked, and for the atmosphere, but this is primarily because we live less than 1 mile away and options for great food round these ere parts are limited. If we didn’t live that close, we’d likely pass on a return visit. Hope this is helpful to you!

AWESOME, awesome, awesome, awesome place. TVs on the bar side, not so much on the dining side - which is probably why the mens bathroom is on the bar side as well; the ladies room is by the kitchen doors on the dining side. Spectacular beer selection and cocktails, and bartenders that understand them!! Let me not forget the food. Almost all the meat is served still on the bone. I have a special fondness for the fried mac & cheese, A friend of mine adores the burger, but I stick to strictly meats: beef ribs, spare ribs, & baby backs. The pork dumplings are great, but the Devils eggs - oh, those Devils eggs are perfect. PS - Check signs when street parking, and keep your eye on your watch, dont be afraid to feed the meter during dinner - itll save you a bundle. Valet is $4.50 + tip, Parking tickets are $75. Just sayin.

Really slow service, surly waiters and no room between tables. When we arrived the place was empty but filled up fast. When everyone else around us had been served before us we asked what was taking so long. -- We had a sandwich and a salad.-- The "owner" came out, read us the riot act and basically said that he didnt want our business. Whaaatt?? We were totally shocked! We got up to leave and even the hostess apologized to us for him, telling us that he is a hot head and this sometimes happens. I have no idea why anyone would like this kind of treatment. I see lots of excellent reviews. I dont get why -- Ill never go back. I had been a few times before and even though the food was tasty, the service was always slow and perfunctory and the prices sky high. This is barbeque folks, not fine dining!

Weve eaten here several times and had varied experiences. Liked the food -- sometimes loved it, but found the service spotty overall. Several visits were marred by the unfriendly owner to the point where we ordered for take out the next few times. We had a very good meal with friends recently, so brought our relatives when they visited this week. Service was so horrible (we waited over an hour for for food without explanation or apology). People who arrived after us were served before us, and we overheard complaints about the food they received. Apparently boneyard cant handle the extra business their expansion has allowed. We wont be returning soon.

House wine $13.00 a glass for less than 4 oz pour....and the wine wasnt some french exclusive wine and not even LaCrema. Soda $2.50 a glass for fountain soda....refills are $2.50 a glass too! So my two diet cokes were $5.00... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????? Obviously oblivIous to the current economy or doesnt want to keep customers???? Shame....real shame! Also, Ive had better brisket...did not try the ribs....and I can make tastier basked beans than this place. So I will not be back and would suggest they think about their price structure! I WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS PLACE....SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE REVIEWS BEFORE STOPPING IN TO THIS PLACE!

Interesting idea. Pub/wine bar with a bar-b-que based menu. The rudest service I have ever experienced in the SFV. Owner was an ego maniac. Food was just not up to par. Sad limp salad with over ripe wrinkly tomatoes that had obviously been waiting a loooong time to be served since cut. Left after first course because of staff attitude. My best advice is be humble, be gracious, life is too short annnd the customer is always right even if theyre wrong - remember youre only as good as your last service. Good concept - menu looked good except the go for the throat prices on a few select items - bad execution.

Really great beer selection to start. Pliney the Elder on tap is always a treat! Got the three item plate. Fatty brisket was just fatty enough with plenty of melty fat to enjoy/savor. The sausage was yummy, had a nice snap to it and had a nice amount of spice. Sadly, the baby back ribs (chipotle) were just average. Not that tender, a bit stringy & just very average. Fried Mac & Cheese was yummy, but very rich. The collards were delicious and would get those again. If only their ribs were better would this place become a new spot in the valley for BBQ... Great service!!!

Just the best! Nothing can beat their combination of Korean flavors, with top notch, sustainably sourced ingredients -- you cant find this anywhere else! The bibimbap has a perfectly rich slow cooked egg and a mix of ingredients prepped so that they are obviously fresh and cooked to just the right amount of doneness or crispness. They really care about every little bite that goes into that bowl. Kimchinis are a must -- kimchi rice and cheese balls with a crispy outside and just a little kick. Awesome.Boneyard Bistro is best.

I went here for a group dinner one time and tried the Mini Mega platter, along with some appetizer. The food was pretty good. It wasnt the best American BBQ Ive ever had, but for it was still good enough to the point where I would go back if I had the chance. I liked their ribs and tri tip, along with their baked beans. The ambience is the typically trendy rustic gastropub environment which makes for an exciting time for a night out. I can easily count this place in as one of the top 10 restaurants in Sherman Oaks.

Its easy for me to describe Boneyard Bistro - its simply my favorite place to eat in LA. The service is friendly, the drinks menu is extensive and creative, and the BBQ is flavorful, tender, and paired with excellent sides. Their baked beans are good enough to order on their own. Theyve got some interesting apps (kobe beef chili filled donuts!) and its just an all-around excellent time. Due to price (around $110 for two people with app/entrees/drinks) we dont come all the time, but every experience is rewarding.
