My favorite seafood restaurant in Marin County. I love the lobster special on Monday & Tuesday, $24.95 for a 1 pound steamed whole Maine lobster with a great Clam Chowder or Salad plus Coleslaw. Theres also a Happy Hour daily from 4pm to 7pm with Oysters @ $1.89 on the half shell, Rockafeller, or Barbecue. Clam Chowder @ $3.95, Lobster Bisque @ $4.95, both soups excellent, and a bunch of other things. Specials on beers and wine, mixed drinks and more. I often make a meal from the Happy Hour selections. Really good Gelato here, much better than most places nearby. Oh, I almost forgot about the view of the harbor from some of the tables because after 49 years in Sausalito, I forget about looking at the view if you can believe that. Quite good service here too. 4.5 stars here. A note to Robert Zevits: Ilsa who was tending bar probably thought you were too pretentious to be served or more likely too drunk to be served or most likely both. Shes a class act and knows more about making a proper cocktail than anyone around. I know that she doesnt suffer fools wisely so there you go out the door. Looser.

This an excellent gem of a restaurant a little out of the main tourist district of Sausalito. We were standing outside looking at the menu when a local resident came up to us and told us how great this place was. Our server, Grant, was very welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. I had the Monday night lobster special which is a steal of a deal and my companion had the halibut. Both dishes were very tasty and nicely prepared. While it does not offer views of the San Francisco skyline, this restaurant has beautiful views of the marina. Great food and great service at great prices! I would highly recommend Seafood Peddler and will most certainly be back next time I am in Sausalito.

The service and food was amazing! First, we came in and a waiter sat us away from a window. Then another waiter saw us and decided to reseat us by a window so we could have a view. The waiter who reseated us made sure everything was great and checked on us duely. I think some of the other people who had bad experiences with the service probably just had inexperienced, younger people. Also, this food is not just okay, it is GREAT! I was born by the Gulf and raised to know what real seafood is. I know real seafood when I taste it and this restaurant sufficed my seafood tastebuds. VERY good food and beautiful restaurant! Highly recommend and hope to be back there soon! :)

I have been going to this restaurant several times now and every time I go I leave disappointed with the food. The view and service are fine. Their menu is too large to do a good job with every dish. Yesterday, I have the lobster risotto with a pound of lobster. There is no way there was a pound of lobster in the risotto. They presented the dish with the shell of the lobster body for presentation but there were only little morsels of lobster in the risotto. I could not even taste any lobster. The chef must have kept some lobster for himself. I prefer staying with their take out when needed.

The cuisine is amazing. The service is pretty poor. Sea-food pasta was not trivial at all with interesting combination of various sea-food and a fish. My wife also enjoyed her salad with crab and shrimp. Then I asked for espresso. It was one of those awful bitter coffees you cannot drink without sugar, so after I asked for a sugar I had to wait for about 15 minutes until waiter brought it, the coffee was totally cold by that time. Again, we really enjoyed the food, I guess I can say that it was fantastic, but the service could have been much better.

Based on reviews most people liked it, but we had a negative experience. First when we came in we told the hostess that we have a reservation, she disregarded us, gave us token and said the restroom is downstairs. Second, she tried seat us with another couple even when we told her three times that we are separate. Then they bring us the wrong order, and it took her a good 10 minutes to reorder it . Overall nice place with perfect view, good food but pricey, and poor service.

Atmosphere and location was really good. But I did not like the food. The lobster was overcooked, the bread was not toasted as mentioned on the menu. I ordered a lobster soup as a starter but never got it. I am a big fan of fresh sea food so my expectations may be higher than for others. But for the price I paid I definetely expect better prepared food. So if you have high expectations I would not recommend it.

Encantador restaurante con unas vistas al puerto náutico. Como no podía ser de otra manera, situado en Sausalito, tiene una amplia carta en pescados y mariscos. Una calidad en la comida que se paga.

I really enjoyed my swordfish here. The place felt a bit pricier than it should be for the amount of food you got. My friend paid 25 dollars for fish and chips... Thats just not right. I feel like if youre gonna come here, dont be afraid to go for the expensive stuff, because cheaping out is just going to result in overpaying for food that should be cheaper.

Terrible service. They over cooked my steak even though I made it clear I do not want it well done. My lobster & vegetables sat while they made another steak & my family finished their meals by the time my new steak came back. Had to take my food home. What a disappointment on Mothers day. Waiter was the worst. Food ok. Would never go back.

Marin County tradition that delivers high-quality entrees, chowder and salads with personality. Great marina views with mix of locals and international tourists for indoor and patio seating. Lobster specials and full seafood market. Menu could use an update, but then again why mess with what works? Best lunch value in neighborhood.

Had lunch with my wife here. Great views over the marina, from the second floor. Food was excellent: fresh oysters as appetizer, tuna (large beautifully crusted portion), and mixed seafood grill (3 types of fish) as entrees, paired with regional gewürztraminer. Well recommended!

We had a really nice dinner here. The seafood trio was great. That was the best swordfish Ive ever had. The local (Miyagi?) oysters were interesting and different from the East Coast oysters. The service was excellent and I will dine here again the next time Im in town.

A hidden gem outside of the main tourist array. We were sent here by a local and didnt regret is at all. We didnt have the best seafood ever, but the overall experience was great (enthusiasm, setting, etc...) We would definitely go back (try the oysters !!!)

Fish and chips over cooked and on burnt side. Had no flavor either. Wait staff friendly and accommodating but food not good. They ended up comping 1 of the meals. Even the fries were over cooked. Very pricey for especially given the food not good.
