Mediocre Late Night Offerings; Huge Portions I cant speak to the Dim Sum portion of this restaurant, because it wasnt being offered at midnight (though, the restaurant was packed). What I can say is that theyre open much later than most other restaurants and that youll maybe just be happy that youre not eating fast food burgers. The wait times are rather long; I would say almost unforgivably slow (20-30 minutes, not including having your order taken). I suspect the kitchen wasnt staffed to handle twelve tables + takeout orders when we went in to grab a bite to eat. Having never eaten here before, I did what I always do at any new Chinese place with mixed reviews: I try some of the easiest Chinese-American dishes they could offer to see how they handle such dishes. If its decent, and they pass the test, then I try more traditional dishes or appetizers afterwards. We started with Sweet and Sour Chicken (about $9.50 if Im not mistaken; plus "rice tax" of about $1.25) after seeing the table next to our sharing a plate. Its enough for a few people to peck at, or one hungry person who refuses to share. The "Chicken Donut" aspect of that dish remained as Id remembered from my childhood; sweet, crunchy dough, surrounding little slices of chicken breast; slathered in sweet, orange goop; served with pineapple, onions, and peppers. Ive had better, but then again, Ive certainly had worse. It was above your average China Buffet, if thats any indication. The General Tsos (~$10.50), however, was a tragic mistake. Its the same "chicken donut" chunks from the Sweet and Sour Chicken, only its just drenched in actual BBQ sauce. Its the second-worst Ive ever had. The fried rice (~$9.50) came fifteen minutes after wed already eaten the meat. So, rather pointless. And as for the quality -- kind of greasy and underseasoned. Maybe its tolerable if youre really drunk. If youre looking for fairly cheap Chinese food late at night, this is probably your best bet. Theyre usually open until 3AM while most places close around 10-11PM. The portions are huge (which is a plus), but Im not sure its worth it, honestly. Its too bad Gourmet Noodle Bowl up the street isnt open late. They blow this place away.

If i could give 0 stars to this restaurant, I would! WORST customer service ever!!!! I dont care if the food is delicious, customers should be treated with respect! It was a Tuesday night, my dad called in the previous day to reserve for a party of 26 at 8PM. They said, "sure, no problem." Our guests started arriving as early as 7:45PM and told them they were there for our party. The restaurant was pretty full, but we saw 3 empty round table towards the upper half of the restaurant, assuming those were reserved for us. They tell us to wait, as they continued to seat parties of 10 or less. Then, all of a sudden, a party of 10 comes waltzing in and the server seats them in 1 of those 3 tables. By this time, it was 8PM, we approached them again and now theyre saying our tables are not ready yet. We try to be patient, but by almost 8:20PM, we demanded an answer as to what was really going on. By now, all tables were filled. They kept giving us the run around, saying "almost ready..." My mom approached the man at the front, and said "we made reservations for 8PM, it is almost 30 minutes later, this is unacceptable and we will take our business elsewhere." The man replied, "YES, GO, GET OUT OF HERE" while he made the "shooing away" gesture! HOW RUDE! My grandma then went on to ask why that party of 10 that came in after us got seated at an empty round table before us, his response - "SO WHAT?" What did we end up doing? We took our entire party of 26 and went across the street to Purple Dot Cafe, where they were very accommodating to us! Their food was delicious and and the customer service was on point. Sorry you had to lose out on a $800+ sale, Honey Court. In addition, youve lost at least 26 peoples future business. YIKES!

Went here last night with my buddy. Spent $80 on beef short ribs, fried sticky rice, dry scallop fried rice, sweet sour pork, Mongolian beef and an order of chicken fried rice to go. Well we got the sweet sour pork first with the dry scallop fried rice both were awesome, we were pumped for the rest of the food. Then came the beef short ribs which to my surprise was breaded and tasted a little like chocolate, not nasty but not what I expected. Here is where it went down hill. The sticky fried rice came out. They put it in front of my friend first, so he had the first crack at it. He digs in and looks at me as he is scooping it on his plate. He says, "it has a smell to it" so Im like maybe he isnt just thinking it smells funny. So I take it and scoop some on mine. Im not saying they use dog lets make that clear now, but the smell and taste of the sticky fried rice smelled of wet dog, if you know what a wet dog smells like, thats what our food smelled like. I was so disappointed, granted I didnt tell them to take it back because I thought it was normal and it was just us that didnt like it so I chalked it up as a loss on my part. Our Mongolian beef came and that was pretty good. Now heres where the 1 star comes in. I ordered chicken fried rice to go for my lady at home. When I got outside I opened it up and the same smell from the fried sticky rice was the same as this rice and I wanted to throw up. I left the rice and went home because I could not feed that to my spouse. So for me to have something so simple be ruined this place gets a 1*. I do not recommend you eat here.

Its the place my love and i go when we go to Seattle. For her its reminiscent of her childhood and brings her comfort. For me its a chance to experiance my girlfriends culture and understand her experiences in life as a white Vietnamese and black woman. Especially the Vietnamese side of her. The Only reason I can not give 5/5 is because of the cultural disrespect she sometimes receives just because she has black in her and is darker than the average Asian. As a black and white man its something Ive had happen frequently even more so now these days. But when I have to watch someone act amazed that she speaks Vietnamese. Or they laugh as if she told a joke or they just plan dont even respond to her. I speak up and let em know to respect my queen or ill disrespect they face... This dosent take away from the amazing food. Bigotry is everywhere no matter what race you are. And since its something I know no one in that restaurant created i cant attack its score harshly.. But just cause something has been the norm in culture doesnt mean it has to stay the norm. The fact that its within some workers comftability to act that way to a paying customer. Im willing to change my rating into a higher one as well as a lower one if I see differently when Im in there

If I could give this place no stars I would As a former restaurateur I am rather generous with praise and keep my negative comments to myself when dealing with small local places. I took a child for lobster tonight. To celebrate. The waitress said all their lobsters were 3-4 pounds (very unusual for Seattle-for any place in October). She said she might have 1 at a little over two pounds. She brought over what we call a "chicken lobster", It could not have been more than 11/4 lbs. It was probably more like a pound. I questioned her and she said all the weight is in the tail. I knew better but this was a celebration. To insult me even more, when it arrived, there was TO LOBSTER TAIL MEAT and some of the shells were empty. The eight year old I was dining with kept picking through the pile of shells and saying "theres no meat, theres no meat" We both decided not to make a scene and left without saying anything. What could we say? The bill was $40.00. We had maybe an an ounce or two of meat and big bowl of rice. I am from the East Coast. I have lived in Maine and the Cape. This was not my error. This was deception. Twice. It was ugly. Stay away.
