NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. My family and I were looking forward to picking up some food at this little place by the beach, wasnt as quick as we had hoped for. Told them we were in a hurry and they took 30 minutes, and still nothing. So we went to ask about it, and it wasnt til then that they told us they were out of the egg salad sandwich that I had ordered. So I changed my order to a frittata and our entire order had to wait another 15 minutes til we got it. Took it to go and upon opening it found out they gave us a stoopid frickin chicken thing that I did NOT order, and on top of that, it had all fallen apart, and we didnt shake it around. This was dissapointing considering Im a vegetarian. It was all overpriced too, definetly not worth their lazy service.

I give it 2 stars because if your looking for something healthier than what the boardwalk offers. The price for a sandwich is mediocre at its best.. I would not go there again unless I just want a basic salad. The price of a bland salad and ok Ruben was 32 dollars including 2 soda pops.. service is like a chipotle so dont expect anything more. The chicken there had no flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. My Ruben was ok and I have had better for less that came with fries or chips. I will not return. Next time and sacrifice a burger at the walk then walk halfway down and deal with a mediocre lunch. Now I cant speak for there breakfast that may be better. It looked good but thats what drew me in for lunch so good luck.

Standout spot in a non-standout area. Santa Cruz boardwalk has its fun but great food is definitely not usually part of it. This place right around the corner is a great place to escape for a good healthy lunch. Good clean fresh ingredients. Interesting takes and flavors on old-standbye sandwiches. Of the 3 I tried, the reuben was my favorite with nice portion of fresh carrots complementing the usual reuben flavor. Only gripe is it was running pretty slow - about 20 minutes to get a sandwich.

I ate here this weekend while visiting the area for a triathlon race. You cant get better location. I loved the simple seating, lots of counter seats but still a relatively small place. I had the Mac and Cheese and a Chicken Salad sandwich. I loved them both. and I would return next time I am in town. For a boutique place I found the prices to be reasonable and the portions were nice size, not oversized and not too small.

Dont go there unless you want to waist your time... We went there on a Saturday, it was packed but we didnt expect to wait 40 min for a sandwich and 2 salads... Most of the seats are benches or stools in front of counters... So dont expect to be confortable while you wait. The food was good but not worth the time it took to prep. The salads are a decent size but the sandwich was very small.

Our party of four enjoyed what we ordered: two BLTs, a market salad, and the beet chickpea almond sandwich (which was unique and super tasty). Everything was fresh and we received our food quickly. The only issue was that there wasnt much available seating so we were squeezed in a narrow alley with bar stools. It might be worth taking the food to go and then finding a picnic table nearby.

I love this place. I dont get to Santa Cruz often but when I do I make sure to eat at the picnic basket. Me and my girlfriend had two sandwiches and a salad and the portions were good and delicious. On top of that, get the house soda, its fantastic and not too sweet. Lastly, enjoy a pilsner or 10 and then try to find your way to the beach :) will definitely be back next time.

Quality was great. The outdoor seating was nice especially as the day was breaking. My wife and I both had sandwiches and they were great. We caught this place at the end of the day for dinner so they wee out of quite a few things but t what we had was fantastic. Not sure when we will make it to Santa Cruz again but we will be sure to go here again for lunch next time.

Amazing food - ordered the breakfast burrito which was a tantalizing combo of a red cabbage slaw ,beans, creamy cheese and a delicious dipping sauce...we also got the yoghurt which came with toasted nuts and syrupy peach slices. Surprisingly high quality healthy food in an innocuous beach front cafe setting..Will definitely return to try the lunch menu!

I feel like the proportions are a bit off for what youre paying.. Their version of a Reuben was tasty, but there was far too much baby spinach and carrot slaw for the slither of pastrami that is on the sandwich. And $10 for two bottles of coke is way too much. Definitely a tourist trap, not a place for locals to casually enjoy their lunch break.

I wouldnt recommend. We waited in line for a fair amount of time to get to the front and find out they were sold out of everything I wanted. The woman who took our order had a bad attitude. After we ordered we try to find a seat with little to no luck. There are much better dining options in the immediate area.

We tried 3 different sandwiches in the morning! I believe Zagat people have not found this yet! :) Food was very very best!! Its not like ordinary beach street store food!. Very fresh and unique flavors! Yes It took time while food were ready but worth to wait while they put love on it :) Two thumbs up!!

The workers were rude. We ordered avocado toast and they only put avocado on half of the toast. When my daughter nicely asked for avocado on the rest of her toast the employee rudely responded with, "thats how we serve it.. you can stand in line and i can ring you up for more avocado."

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 4 I came here for a quick lunch Saturday around noon. Free parking in the back lot. 1. Toasted grilled chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, and provolone on french roll with small side of watermelon, 8 ~Really good. Simple, but delicious.

Delicious locally sourced and seasonally inspired menu. Favorite items were Fancy Pants Grilled Cheese (delightfully gooey) and Market Salad (lovely combo of kale, blue cheese, persimmons, and red onions). Staff is super friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Above average chicken salad sandwich. Theres a loud karaoke bar across the street which youll either find entertaining or super annoying if you sit outside. We didnt mind it when we were there as the singers were actually pretty decent..

Unkempt, seemingly confused and inefficient staff. I find it hard to believe the 5-star ratings in here were provided by unaffiliated customers. The food is extraordinarily average especially given the absurd prep time.

Underbart, fräscha rum och pool, bra läge, bra pris. Kommer definitivt att bo här igen.

Service was great with friendly staff. Food was fantastic and great value with good selection. Only complaint is slightly slow service and low selection of drinks (no fountain drinks). Overall would recommend.

Stumbled upon this place. Amazing food. Fresh, flavorful, and creative Service is above excellent. Small batch homemade ice cream is some of best Ive ever had. If we lived here, wed eat here almost everyday.
