This restaurant has a nice patio space. We could enjoyed beautiful scenery and birdwatching while we waited for our order. Its quiet & peace. we felt relaxed. Staff was friendly too. I ordered Mushroom Soup and Tavern Burger. Meat quality was very good. Fresh lettuce, tomato and onion well collaborated with juicy burger. It was yummy. Crispy fried potato with a little salt also came with this burger. In my preference, I will ask no salt on fried poteto next time. Overall, we had good experience at Fernwood Bar & Grill.

We just love the casual-ness of this stop. Great bike butt rest stop and good food reasonably priced. Atmosphere is very casual. Indoor/outdoor seating. We love to sit outdoors in the back under the redwoods. We love to play a bit of ping pong to stretch before our next leg of our biking journey. I hope they are not affected this year (2016) by the Soberanes fire as they are the best little gem on the hwy 1 drive. So many wonderful memories each time we stop.

We were just passing through, and instead stayed at Big Sur Lodge. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fun, a bit loud (a good loud), and some off the beaten path decor. The service was great, food was OK, and we overall, had a great time. There was a little convenient store attached, so we were able to pick up a few necessities for the rest of our trip. Wifi never worked for us. Overall, a good experience.

Absolutely LOVED the atmosphere here. Totally unique cabin feel, the smell of nature, a few big screens to watch the game and pretty decent food. We had the burrito, pizza and clam cowder. I cannot wait to return and stay at one of the cabins out back.

Very tasty food!!!! Had the grilled veggies wrap, hummus and pita bread, and sweet potato fries with my girlfriend. Quiet location, very friendly service!
