Best blueberry pancakes I have had in a very long time. I grew up in the Northeast where my family would pick wild blueberries and use them to make pancakes. These were pretty close to that. Probably the best hash browns ever. Excellent omlettes and a good selection of fruit, jam, and hot sauces. I was driving up the PCH with my boyfriend, camping along the way. We stopped at a gift shop in Big Sur and asked where we could get pancakes and they recommended Ripplewood. Im so glad they did! The only thing that could have been better was the coffee, but then I live in Portland, OR, where access to top-notch coffee is considered a human right like voting and breathing.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday while we were in the area, and enjoyed a very good lunch here at the cafe. We primarily had their burgers, along with one vegetarian sandwich. Everyone was happy with what they ordered, and it was well worth the premium they charge for being one of the few restaurants in Big Sur area. The side salads were phenomenal (walnuts, almonds, cucumbers, mushrooms & tomatoes on a bed of lettuce). Really good lunch. If you are in the Big Sur area, this is your best bet. Only thing is that they close at 2pm, so need to get their by 1:30pm or so (we just made it, thankfully).

This place has horrible customer service (the owner is extremely rude to customers) I would never give this place my money again. I came here with my "SO" and stayed in 12A and the walls were paper thin... I heard everything from the other duplex which was very unpleasant. This place has a weird smell to it and I saw a couple cockroaches behind the toilet. If you are trying to have a good time in Big Sur stay somewhere else. The Ripplewood "Resort" have the worst cabins in all of Big Sur.

Stayed for a few nights a couple of years ago as a break from driving from San Fran to LA. Loved the place, no phone, no tv, just a log burning fire, a couple of books, and some peace and quiet. I think we stopped in cabin 4, right by the river. There were some conveniences missing, a laundry would have been nice, but the riverside campsite is right next door and we could use their machines. I would love to come again for another nice break from the drive.

Surprised to see some didnt like the manager. We came through on our way down Highway 1 to visit Hearst Castle. My wife and I shared a breakfast (wow, that bacon is YUM-MY) and a salad. The staff was great, the hummingbirds where flying; it was a great day! AND they have a small store at which you can buy Sundries. My only regret is that since I was driving to San Simeon, I couldnt have an "adult beverage." Ripplewood is a winner!

Our family and friends have been staying at Ripplewood for about a decade. Enjoying a fireplace inside or firepit along the river, fine local wines, excellent breakfast, quiet, relaxing moments in the redwoods. One of the best features is no phones and TVs! Real family time. The cabins are clean, seems like they have upgraded many items this year. Perfect location for the Big Sur Marathon. See you next year! Medley

Small, spacious cabins with moderate amenities. Not super clean on the inside, but plenty adequate for camping. Small grocery store on grounds with plenty of helpful good for hiking, and the free bundle of firewood was a nice touch! Not super fancy, but I had a great time. No internet, cell service, or tv in cabins, so be prepared to talk to each other.

We only ate breakfast here while we stayed at the campsite down the road and it was seriously one of the best meals Ive ever had! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns were crispy all the way through, and the blueberry muffins were soft and delicious! Also, the free Wi-Fi was cool. Definitely worth a stop while youre here.

Our second time coming here. The rain kept us indoors but our cabin was cozy enough that we didnt mind. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Stayed in the cabins and loved the service (even gave us the keys after hours). Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend for anyone looking for a cabin experience in the Big Sur or Monterey area.

Beautiful spot. There is a library there as well, it was closed when I stopped there but the atmosphere is just beautiful. Lush green landscape. Gas is expensive but this is what you get at these stations.

Convenience (as opposed to grocery) store prices. In other words overpriced. However, fair selection considering it was quite a drive from any other amenities.
