My husband and I went there at 8 pm and thought they were closed. One section of the restaurant was blocked off and trash bags was sitting on a table. Floor was dirty also. We understand if your closing and want to get out..you should make it not look so bad. Still should make things appealing. Chicken was so dry...salsa trays on counter that I had to reach over and get my food. Not appetizing at all. I have never seen a restaurant that bad 2 hours b4 closing. I really should of walked out. We did not enjoy it. I guess thats what you get for going late on a Sat. Franchiser might want to close earlier than 10pm. The employees want to GO home quick. All I can say is ..If you want chicken in the evening than stay away from Pollo cause you will be a Loco! Use to love their chicken.. maybe afternoon is better and cleaner. Sorry I dont complain too much on reviews..but maybe it will help..I use to franchise a pizza place and would always like to know about things from customers.

Fast, friendly service and quality food. The chicken was on point, the avocados were super fresh, and they had no issues with a request to put more beans than rice in the bowl. It has been years since I last visited El Pollo Loco due to military assignment, and it is good to see that they still provide a quality product. They even offer a military discount, as well as a senior citizen discount. To address the charter bus driver who gave one star because they didnt get a free meal... Really? Maybe you need to check your privilege. You not only expect the restaurant to prepare meals for a busload of people, but you believe yours should be free. Did you at least have the decency to call ahead to let the manager know that 40-60 people would be arriving at the same time?

This is by far not the cleanest location I have ever been to but at least the staff was always nice and the food tasty...until now. The service was fast but at least two of the fountains were only dispensing carbonated water. There was one person ahead of me getting a drink. When it was my turn, an employee from the back cut me off and helped herself to a drink. Wow. Then there was the cleanliness or lack of it. The store was completely filthy with food and dirt everywhere. By the time I got to eating I noticed the food had taken a decided turn for the worst. It was sour and lacked the savory goodness I had come to appreciate. Too bad. Is there anyone in charge here?

The food is very tasty and well put together. Very fresh ingredients. The service is friendly. The only reason for the 4 vs. 5 star rating is cleanliness. It was a Saturday night and the super busy cooks & register girl could have used another person on the floor to help with clean up. I read the only 1 star review that left a comment and I think it is absurd to expect free food from a business. Was her charter so underimpressed with her service they refused to buy her a meal? Is she not being paid a per diem for meals? Seems fishy to me.

Most businesses will give a free meal to the driver of a charter bus who brings their group of people into their business for a meal break...but not this place. When I spoke to the manager, she acted like she didnt even understand english and all she could do was just shake her head no...no....no. I will not be stoping here again and will take my groups to another business who could use a few hundred dollars in business.

Place is great for getting a quick bite to eat. Wish there were more add-on items. The chicken is delicious and ingredients seem fresh. My usual is the pollo bowl combo and a couple of churros.
