My family, friends, and relatives have been going to the "Cafe D" in Roseville for over 20 years. The food is the same today as it was in 1989 when we first went -- excellent Mexican food at a resonable price. The decor has been somewhat updated (since the place burned down maybe 10 yrs ago). But as I said, dont go for the atmosphere. The entrees are very good / excellent, their rice is good but not really special, and their refried beans are good. Their salsas (they have 2 flavors) are great. The thinner one is normally spicey, and the "chunky" is fresh and very flavorful. (It can be spicey as well depending on how much jalapeno they use). Their salad is not so good, seems to be bagged lettuce. But it is edible. They have the absolute best Chili Verdi I ever had, and I fancy myself as a real fan of Chili Verdi. Slow cooked chunks of pork simmered in a flavorful green tomatillo sauce. Makes me crave some every time I think about it. Go for the food, not the experience. You will not be disappointed.

We walked in at 6:30 on a Saturday night. The place was not that busy, however obviously understaffed as it took 3-4 minutes to be seated. Salsa and chips came about 7 minutes later. The girl that took our drink order never returned. Instead another one showed up to take our order and said, "oh, shes busy". The food that we were served was very generic, something one would expect from a cafeteria. The staff was not very friendly, the decor is depressing, and several tables still had not been cleared for 10-15 minutes after guests had left. One of the worst places I can remember in the last couple of years, really. If theyre still in business in 2015 it would be a miracle. Dont waste your money.

One usually goes into a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant with the notion that they will leave fulfilled while paying very little for that fulfillment. Not in this case. It is relatively expensive when one considers the mediocre portions. Furthermore, the food itself was nothing to write home about. I would give it zero stars, but one might make a decision on whether or not to eat there based purely on the overall rating and I could be that one review that breaks the camels back, thus lowering the revenue of the restaurant itself. Cafe Delicias es Cafe No Delicias.

I have been eating at the Dellicias Resturant since the 60s when the first opened their home to eating in Auburn I seldom go anywhere else great food still family owned. Nabor Ramirez & Rosario, his wife, have built their family business from the ground up with the help of their six children, Ofelia, Ruben, Emilio, Maggie, Rojelio and Miguel of which my sister and I went to school with. Excellent fresh food.

Friendly staff but i dont know why all others found the food above average. Ate 4 bites. Can microwave same bland food from products found at any discount dollar store. Chips stale and broken. Dry rice. Enchiladas covered in greasy canned coney sauce. Save your money.

Slow service, dirty and old tables/seats food was OK but nothing special and really over priced. Next time Ill just buy the supplies and make it at home. It was a rip off (example 9.99 for a bowl of guacamole), now I know why the prices are not on line.

With many Mexican places to eat at, we have always come back to Cafe Delicias. Good, fresh food made daily and always very nice service doing the little things like saying hi and bye and genuinely showing appreciation for your business.

The WORST Mexican food I have ever had. The chicken tacos were bland, the tortillas hard and there wasnt anything "authentic" about the food. Ive never written a review for bad food so this says a lot.
