Had a Groupon to use, figured it was time to use it. We didnt have high hopes as weve been sadly let down numerous times with latin cuisine in Pacifica. We are glad we tried this place. Its such a hole in the wall sorta place, but the food is flavorful, huge portions for the price, and like home cooking (makes me wish I were Peruvian). I asked the server about their beverages and he suggested the purple juice (consists of all sorts of fruits and cinnamon) its like a fruity horchata without the creaminess. I wanted a soup so he said his favorite is the chupe de camarrones because its creamy, so I went with that as well. Seriously I was amazing, there were more than 6 shrimps in there (I started counting after I ate one), I almost never let go of my spoon and I finished the entire bowl. The server was in disbelief that I finished the whole bowl myself, it was that awesome.. buttery, rich goodness, it kept me full for hours. I will definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu. PS Peruvian dulce de leche ice cream.... YUMMY!! (only because they were out of tres leche... next time).

This place was horrible. Walked in to a waiter that seemed like he didnt want another table, the lomo saltado didnt have any flavor at all. I added so much salt and pepper to actually give it some flavor. I asked for a water refill that never came. The best part of the meal was getting the check so we could leave. Definitely better off driving down another 5 minutes to puerto 27, but most of all try Limon for real flavorful Peruvian food. Both those places have better service and food. Spent $70 and I couldve made it way better at home.

The Ribeye steak with the mushroom and gravy was shockingly delicious. Im a sauce guy and I always like sauce, preferably not "steak sauce" to go with my steak, cause even a great piece of fillet steak has no flavor to me. Even the rice is flavorful, very butter and nutty. The "Ahi sauce " upon request, very spicy, make sure you ask for it. The restaurant sits in a not so appealing area, but dont be fooled, the is a gem hidden inside.

Chips and salsa good. Mixed seafood ceviche tostada was super fresh and flavorful. Fish burrito had a big fresh fish filet in it and was awesome. No fifth star because the place is super tiny and there is a constant shuffling of tables and chairs when it gets busy...so it kind of has a taco shop feel with restaurant prices...but overall the seafood was outstanding. Service was also just so so.

This a Peruvian restaurant, though they carry many Latin American dishes. Get the Peruvian dishes or else youre missing out. The Saltado seafood is not to be missed. Get a Jalea dish to share, the fried seafood and yucca and the onion slaw and the sauce are delicious; warning the sauce is spicy. There is often music on the weekends.

Came here for the first time because I was drunk and I had to wait before driving home, and to be honest it was a pretty decent experience. I do not know if this happened because I was drunk or not but I ended up enjoying my beef tacos a lot. I will tell everyone I know about this restaurant and about this Mexican meal!

Absolutely great place to satisfy a hungry belly. I got chicken steak supreme. Very well done burrito and as heavy as my head :-). The owner was friendly and attentive to our order. Order was ready in 15 minutes. The area of great to walk around in as well, one block from the ocean.

This was a really great experience. The service was wonderful and the staff all seemed to care about the atmosphere and the food. You honestly cant go wrong here. Any future trips to Pacifica will require that we eat at El Toro Loco.

The fish burrito was on point. My friends "super burrito" was the largest burrito Ive ever seen and Ive seen a few burritos in my day. The place doesnt look special from the outside but the food was great.
