Im from New Orleans, and I grew up eating Po-boys; no other sandwich could ever compare-- until I had the Friday-After-Thanksgiving turkey sandwich at Pickles. It sounded odd, so I didnt try it for a year, but locals kept raving about it, so I finally ordered one. Its the most amazing sandwich, homemade cranberry dressing thats more like the best preserves your Grandma ever made, oven roasted turkey, dressing (yes, dressing!!) and a mayonnaise thats so much better than whats in your fridge. My husband loves the Meatball Sub, and the chicken Caesar wrap is perfect. Their soups are amazing -they even do a wonderful chicken-n-dumplings now and then. Pickles has consistently placed between #1-- # 4 on the Best-Of for sandwich shops in Seattle, and Pickles is on Whidbey Island!

Fantastic food, lovely light-hearted staff will make you smile even on the gloomiest of days. Were vegetarian, and they make great, flavor-filled veggie strombolis and wraps. Highly recommended. We dont have a lot of money to throw around, so a $9 sandwich sounds obscene, but their food is well worth it and we keep going back whenever we can. They also serve great local ice creams. Try the vanilla lavendar, its awesome. You should call first to make sure they are open on holidays to make sure they are open. Seems like they would get a lot of tourist business on 4th of July and Labor Day, but they are usually closed on holidays.

Took an impromptu roadtrip through Whidbey Island today and on my way back to the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry terminal, I stopped here for dinner. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! I asked for their "signature" sandwich and they said the Spicy Italian was their number one seller, so I asked for it. Not only did I savor every bite, I LOVE their pickles. Took home a N.Y. Dill and Kick Yo Butt. Truly impressed with the quality of service and products. I think I found my favorite deli shop on the island! Thank you!

Excellent, simple deli. Pickles has a great selection of sandwiches, including ones you can customize. Soups and salads are also good. Serves beer, a rarity for a deli. If you are a fan of sourdough, you will not find any sourdough here, but I would recommend the rosemary bread as a substitute. Just watch out, if you are not a fan of dill pickles, let them know ahead of time, otherwise one will be included with your meal.

Some of the sandwiches here are great, other s probably somewhat "experimental". The lines here can be incredibly long. Much better to pre-order and pick up your order. Occasionally the owner get a bit cranky, and can be hard on her staff. Overall its a decent sandwich shop.

Good food Poor Service. We arrived at 5pm. Not greeted or helped. we had never been there before. It was clearly a shift change as the waiters were counting tip money on one of the tables next to us. Very bazar. Good sandwich bad service. Wont go bad.

Amazing! Im a sandwich girl....and I have had some lifetime greats here. The bahn mi, Whidbey club, Philly, whatever is the special of the day, cant really go wrong! Call in your order if takeout, otherwise there is plenty of great seating!

If you like sandwiches you will like pickles deli. The atmosphere is pure 80s strip mall. There is an area in the parking lot where you can eat when its sunny.
