Finally got to try this place last weekend! I have been searching for a place similar to California Fish Grill near me and someone in Monrovia has blessed me with something better :) The workers are really sweet and accommodating and there are just so many options to choose from. I ordered their salmon dish and they give you the option to have it grilled or seared. You can also choose two sides from their many options (coleslaw, rice, fries, sweet potato fries, mixed green salad, etc). Another plus for me was that you can order brown rice at no extra charge! Everything was great and made exactly how I wanted it. It was a nice healthy meal and left feeling satisfied. The prices are pretty average -- around $10-15 depending on what you get. I will definitely come back for all fish cravings.

I dont know what happened...maybe they changed cooks? The food doesnt taste the same anymore. It used to be good!! I love California Fish Grill but, the one I love is in Gardena. Big Shrimps was always a good and close alternative! However, this past weekend, the food was super bland! The fish was under seasoned. I had to dump salsa on it to give it more flavor but even then, I was pretty upset and dissatisfied with my meal! The best thing I had was the clam chowder. What We Ordered - Pint of Boston Clam Chowder - Cajun Grilled Swai with Zucchini and Fries - Garlic Butter Grilled Swai with Zucchini and Brown Rice I wont be coming back anytime soon. :(

I used to like the taco tuesday here. But it has become such a mess over the last few visits. Orders are wrong and no one seems to know what is up. The people there are nice but ineffective. On my last visit I waited nearly 45 minutes for my food and once I got it...it was wrong!! They went to exchange it. A 1/2 hour later still no tacos...when we go to complain they had no idea about the order and had not even started it. Then when we did get our order it was not only cold...it seemed as if they took it out of a to go box and threw it on a plate. Horrendous and inexcusable.

Staff and food are always great. The moment you step in you are greeted and politely asked how they can service you. They have many specials almost everyday and it really makes this place feel more unique. Aside from this place not being so well seen, it is a hidden gem that sells great shrimp. I plan on being a long time consumer of this great establishment and continue supporting thier great service and food.

The food is delicious and made to order, so every bite is hot and fresh. The interior is clean, cozy, and never crowded with just enough people visiting to keep the place comfortably occupied. Every day, theres a different special, but most notable are Taco Tuesdays where you can get fish tacos for $1 (grilled or battered)!

Was Way too salty and way too much sauce On my miso salmon. I couldnt taste the salmon at all. I threw most of it away. Ive given this place 2 tries two different meals now I dont think Ill order any more seafood. The sweet potato fries were actually really good and very crunchy. I might order those again

Food was very good. Was able to stay on my 1200 calorie diet. Shrimp and scallops kabobs with zucchini and brown rice. My husband had the fish and chips with zucchini and loved it. I was able to control the sauce. The staff was great and personable. Will definitely return. Prices were great.

Great variety of types of fish offered and various ways to have it prepared.Very accomadating staff, even put on the MLB AL-STAR GAME, and raised the volume so we could hear thevintro of players and the national anthem.

Loved taco tuesday!!! Liked the fried fish tacos better though. Also loved that the french fries can feed 2... I love fries and can usually eat more than 1 serving... these were just enough my boo and I.

Nice pet-friendly outdoor seating. Awesome service, but we always come for the food. Fresh and tasty each time. We love to get the Cajun garlic sauce on everything.
