What can I say? This IS the place I was looking for. I walked in with my 6 year old son as a dad/son night out and we were greeted by the friendly waiter named Carlos (possibly the owner too?). We sat down and were given chips and salsa immediately. They were a nice appetizer, the salsa was very fresh and tasty and the chips were good. I ordered the diablo shrimp and I ordered the Baja style fish tacos for my son. Between talk of which Jedi could beat other Jedi/Sith, we were promptly given our food. The diablo shrimp were amazing. They tasted so fresh and were obviously cooked perfectly; they werent spicy enough for my habanero pepper loving self but still full of flavor. They were accompanied by a very fresh salad with a unique salad dressing and rice with black beans which paired perfectly with everything else. My sons fish tacos were also something to talk about. The breading was super light; it didnt mask the flavor of the fish like so many mediocre places. All of the toppings were very fresh and again everything paired perfectly. My son combatted the tacos without his two front teeth and won easily; he even stopped talking about Jedi during this time, which is nearly impossible to accomplish. During the meal he did stop to say that he was in heaven, however. If you are looking for good, fresh Mexican food in the Huntington Beach area, this IS the place you are looking for.

So Ive had this place bookmarked for a while because I live right down the street. I came here with a friend during lunch time. There was plenty of seating and we didnt have to wait too long for our food. I ordered the fish and shrimp tacos Baja style. They were pretty big and packed with toppings. The fish taco was excellent, plenty of fish and the topping complimented it well. The shrimp taco was just okay, mainly because there wasnt too much shrimp in it. Only two decent sized pieces. My friend got some sort of baled fish which was delicious and fresh. All in all I would definitely eat here again. I may just avoid the shrimp tacos a bit though just because Im a growing young man who likes lots of shrimps in his tacos. The prices were pretty good, about $3 a Taco (even cheaper during happy hour). Give it a shot, you wont be disappointed.

Super fresh food and great prices! I ordered the 2 fish taco combo baja style and my bf got the shrimp one. Both of us loved it. The tacos were amazing and had some special sauce unlike any sauce ive had on a fish taco AND it came w/ avocado. the rice and beans were loaded and when we ordered a side of guacamole, it took a few minutes. We thought maybe they forgot about it, but NO, the chef was just making our little order completely fresh. Customer service here was also great, Im not sure if it was the owner who was helping us, but he was so nice. The location is a bit unassuming...if it were in just a little bit of a different area, it would probably be packed non stop. If you live in the area, definitely come here instead of a baja or rubios. The food is healthier, fresher, and you gotta support your mom n pop operations!

Being from the LA area I am fortunate to findgood Mexican mariscos at reach. Working in the SB/HB area it is not as easy to find a good mariscos joint without driving closer to Santa Ana. So I settled for The Seafood Zone Mexican Restaurant. From the get I was should have known better when I heard salsa music playing. Then there was the watered down tomato paste called "salsa". No it was not Salsa nor was it even a tad bit spicy. The cocteles we ordered had a decent amount of mix seafood cuts dropped into a bowl of Clamato juice and sprinkled cilantro. Im sorry to bash the place, but it was not an authentic Mexican mariscos spot. Next time Ill Stay clear and force myself to drive into Santa Ana;)

Good luck and happy trails

Pretty good food. The mix ceviche was very tasty, a lot of flavor. Only negative is that the crab meat was imitation. Would prefer to not have crab if it is imitation meat. The grilled fish taco is delicious. They make it very good. My next visit will be for the burrito. I will be returning here when I am in the area. I was told that the place is under new management. The waitress was friendly and knew the menu very very well. I went off of her recommendations. Nice atmosphere. Looks clean. Outside seating is pretty cool for a nice day. Inside is a little small. Would recommend going to this place if you like seafood and Mexican food.

This place is good if youre in the area for work and feel like some seafood for lunch. Its a little on the expensive side for a lunch for me, but it is seafood. If you are in the mood, I highly recommend calling in your order and then picking it up. My last visit took longer than expected for a to go order because a load of groceries needed to be unloaded and the chef was also the guy managing the stock, so there was a bit of delay. The chips here are good though! If you get a combo with rice and beans, eat those with the chips! These chips are thicker than most other restaurants and work extremely well for dipping and scooping.

Good food! Check in on Yelp, spend $30 and get free order of ceviche. Been here a couple of times and both experiences were fantastic. Staff is really nice and quick with service. Food is of good quality, tacos are delicious and full of flavor. They definitely dont skimp on the toppings. Ceviche is really good as well, definitely something good to share with your friends in addition to your tacos. The only gripe I have is that they dont seem to like to give refills on chips and salsa. Both times we went, we never received refills even after asking for it. You can easily spend about $10-15 per person.

A friend recommended this place and the owner "Carlos" a very pleasant man who seemed to really care about satisfying the customer. The salsa was fantastic, but I didnt pay $10.00 bucks for salsa I paid for a No.4 and the shrimp taco was two pieces of petrified shrimp in a tortilla. I didnt want to embarrass my friend but this taco was disgusting and in fact the two bites I took made me literally sick to my stomach. My guess is this place is barely hanging on and the inventory is days perhaps weeks old. I wont eat here again unless they make some changes.

This place is a shining gem of freshness, quality, and service. I ordered the carne asada and chicken tacos and was not disappointed. The food was fairly inexpensive and was so fresh. I am (not really) salsa connoisseur and was so impressed. The tacos were so flavorful and fresh. FRESH FRESH FRESH! The owner waited on us personally and was such a friendly guy. We are from out-of-town and are so sad they dont have a place in Utah. I would go here again for lunch in a heartbeat.
