I drink coffee everyday, and I usually got it from Starbucks because it is in front of my work, but this Coffee Bean is on my way to the office. One day I stop by, and the cashier was really rude, I order a "regular coffe", but I forgot to mention the size. The cashier gave me the regular coffee, (medium size), and I clarify that I wanted the small size, she remarked that I said "regular coffee". I excuse my self, and I told her that I meant about the type of coffee, she remarked again that I said "regular coffee". She had with her a pre-fill small coffee, and she got the medium coffee back, and give me the pre-fill small coffee. Her face and attitude was the worst. This kind of situations NEVER happen to me in Starbucks! This was the first and last time I stop by this Coffee Bean, even it is most convenience for me. I prefer make lines in Starbucks instead of received an unfriendly and rude service.

Ive been a patron of this location quite a while. I find its rarely crowded but still manages to maintain a feeling of community thanks to the awesome service provided here. Youll find a nice place to study or read inside if you dont mind the relatively noisy space. Outside can also be nice if its not too cold or too windy. Overall my favorite place to get a "fancier" cup of coffee or tea in East Los Angeles.

The aroma of the coffee is wonderful. The employees are corteaus and cheerful, even at dark thirty in the morning. The clientel are serious coffee drinkers. I am also a serious, but simple coffee drinker and I appreciate the affordable prices.
