I was enticed by the positive reviews and intrigued by the combination of pictures showcasing as much coffee as ice cream, but also "life-energy enhancing" powders. Sounded like a weird combo for a place that basically advertises itself as just a coffee place.... and it was! Coming in, it appeared like a cheap-fast-slick-looking stop by place for a quick cup of Joe, but as you read the menu you found yourself with very few normal coffee options, most including coconut oil/ghee butter in them, and then - because its not been done before I guess? - you can also have a bone broth with a side of ice cream too! Everything seemed like a dubious choice and hard to tell what I was getting for my money. I ended up choosing the hot coffee with coconut oil, ghee butter and collagen in it (seemed like a good combo to treat my brains and skin and wake myself up at the same time). Sure enough, the fat in it immediately manifested itself with the first gulp and as I kept drinking it, it didnt get better. This is not just a nice coffee with a little health enhancer of something in it. I think this place should be better advertised as a pre/post workout/nutritional powder obsessed people place to target better that audience. Air conditioning was nice though! But 1hr later, I still can feel that fat being digested...

I had heard the hype and was dubious, but I wanted to give them a fair shake. Im not looking for any perported "health benefits” from my simulant of choice... I just want a kick ass cup of joe. Unfortunately, the butter just ruined the flavor for me. The separated oils coated my mouth as I drank and made the tail end of a large cup an unpleasant experience. Am I glad I tried it? Yeah. But I wont be coming back.

Very interesting take on coffee. Youre either going to love their signature butter coffee or youre not (personally I really like the taste but others I know did not like it). They have a lot of other healthy foods available and the space is clean and a good place to meet people. Only downside is the cost- at $4.25 for a tiny coffee, this is way overpriced even for Arts District LA coffee.

I have been doing the Keto diet for two months now and I was so excited to try this place. I got burritos and I am so glad that the tortillas were made of coconut flour. The coffee was delish. I wish I lived closer.
