This one of the top 3 burgers in the county in my book. Last I was there I had the Little Boy Blue and it was BAM, off the hook. They use real blue cheese crumbles rather than salad dressing like some well known places. A few people have mentioned the prices but I did not think they were all that bad. I guess if you sit at the bar sipping beer month after month you would notice price increases but I felt the value of the food was fair. We all left food on the plate so the portions were just fine. The armosphere is local, while the staff go out of thier way to accomidate the patrons are not so happy see a new face. Lots of stares and unsmiling faces, it was bothersome until I got my burger and forgot all about them. So while its a bar & grill, its mostly a local bar but totally worth a drive if youre in SD county for the burgers. I did see some knucleheads leave the bar and get on motorcycles so intellegence is not required.

This place definitely is a neighborhood hangout. We stopped here on a party bus tour. When we walked in I was a little concerned as there was a sports team having lunch there. However, it appeared that they were there to celebrate a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser. The staff here was amazing. There were over 30 people in our group and they quickly were able to serve us all, with a smile on their faces, and continued to check up on our group throughout the time that we were there. I love that their beers change on a regular basis and they have them all listed on the wall. We ordered their buffalo fries and it was amazing. It was just like eating buffalo wings over fries. They were great and are perfect bar food! If Im ever in Eastlake again, I will definitely stop by this place. I would love a place like this down the street from my place.

Ive been here twice now. First time I had pizza and burgers, and everything was totally solid. Second time was brunch, and also everything was totally solid. To me, this place is like the illegitimate child of a diner and a sportsbar. Service was impeccable both times. Atmosphere is cool and fun. It tries real hard to look like a dive bar while still being clean and family friendly. Service has been prompt and really personable (like genuine personable, not phony salesperson personable). Selection of both craft and crap (read: Bud, Coors) beers on tap is awesome. I give this less than 5 stars because although it is a gem in Lakeside, I wouldnt drive all the way to Lakeside just to eat there.

Came here on a Wednesday night with my beau for a quick bite and a pint. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. On Wednesdays they have a featured pint for I believe $5.00 and you get to keep the glass. SCORE! The Lakesliders are yummy with the grilled onions and a little mustard... flinger licking good. Mind you there is country music on the Juke box, they have Karaoke some nights and I guess a bunch of other things going on all the time. So even if that isnt your particular pint of beer come here for the food, drinks, and people who all seemed friendly enough. It far exceeded my expectations.

I do not go here to drink or socialize, so this is essentially a food/dining review. They have a WONDERFUL $5 breakfast weekdays, and a good bar/grill menu generally. From eggs and bacon to fries and burgers, its all fresh and well prepared. There are a lot of options from local breweries, as well. Of the two or three places to eat on Maine Ave in Lakeside, this is my favorite. Parking is a little tricky during peak times, and Marys Doughnuts across the street is your better desert option (just sayin).

Ive been to Eastbound a few times in the past few years. For Lakeside, it really doesnt get any better. This is the creme de la creme. They have a great selection of beers and on some nights you get to keep the glass. The waiters/waitresses/hostesses are all super nice and accommodating. It has a nice open feeling thanks to the garage doors. The food is probably some of the best bar fare that youre gonna get in East County. If youre in the area, do yourself a favor and drop by. Its a hoot!

Im not from Lakeside but I have family that live in city. Looked up Restaurant and saw good reviews but I was very disappointed with service lady took forever to come with drinks. Food took over an hour to get to us. And the tables were very greasy when we got there they wiped the table off with dirty towel left it there. I wasnt satisfied at all! I will never go back again!! Gross!!!!

I needed to kill 90mins in Lakeside & was headed to a different watering hole until the tweeker out front dissuaded me from entering. So I went one more block to Eastbound. It was lively, the beer options were plentiful, the appetizers were good, the bartenders were awesome. I wasnt expecting much in Lakeside, but this seems like the cool place to be!

Love that this place is own locally by peeps that went to El Cap!!! The staff is awesome and makes you feel welcome. It reminds me of being back home in my small town where everyone knows you. Only two negatives that I noticed.. Only beer & wine and its pretty loud (and Im a loud person!), but none of these keeps me from going!

Friendly and happy staff. Great atmosphere with lots of light and TVs. NOT a dark hole in the wall bar. Excellent selection of craft beers, and a complete bar. Good food, that I enjoy. Always a good time by myself, or with friends. Im happy to have Eastbound in my home town.

Its a lot of fronts attempt at making something like the Waterfront in East County. do it only because you have to do it. I can honestly say Ive never gone there because I wanted to only because friends say well this place is closed and this place is closed eastbound? Eh.

Lively atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Basically a sports bar. It has a nice selection of craft beers. The food varies. The pozole is the best I have tasted. The Philly was good and the pulled pork was above average. I ordered a burger once and it was sub-par.

I went there today and was greeted by fantastic bartender/waitstaff. The California cream on tap was cold and tasted awesome. The food was excellent. I ordered a jalapeño burger with a salad. DiLicioso!! I was in town visiting my son and needed the trifecta. Nailed it!

Great atmosphere, great ambience, and very friendly staff. The food is awesome, the cheeseburgers are one of the best cheeseburgers you can get in town! Lots of seating, he can get a bit noisy at times. Great place to go watch a sporting event.

The food they have is really good and with their burgers you have the option to make it a quarter pound instead of a half pound burger and if you arent feeling like having a burger any burgers they can be substituted for chicken instead.

Ive only been here many times for Breakfast. Its one of the best breakfast spots in San Diego. The people who work here are fantastic, the restaurant is fun, and you cant beat the food, even the corn beef hash is house made.
